Taylor, “I ended up wearing this foundation in that spa…” Morgan Freeman narrator voice, “little did she know that would be all she was wearing in the spa.” 😂😂
As someone living in South Carolina born and raised, sometimes especially in the deep heat of summer most people I know don’t even bother with foundation or makeup period because after a couple hours with the humidity even if it lasts through you still feel sticky and disgusting and feels like your face is melting away
I can't thank you enough for posting both your shade choices when tanning and when not. That helps me so much, and now I know exactly what products to use since I'm pale all year long lol
I live in south Florida so this is right up my alley. Also the j.cat powder foundation Taylor loves holds up amazing. I wore it to an outdoor wedding last summer and after an hour everyone’s makeup looked like a Salvador Dali portrait except mine and the brides who had a makeup artist do it. 😂
@@amandajones8101 yes very true. A setting spray makes it look unreal and like skin and helps it stay. The one she recommends is the bomb and only $7, but others work too.
Savannah is breathtaking. My husband and I are stationed in Georgia right now, and we visited Savannah about a month ago or so, omgg I’m in love. Stunning town.
Also I’m from the north (Michigan) and have been in the south for about 3 years now, the heat is miserable. I literally can’t wear makeup, I step one foot outside and I’m profusely sweating 😩 I am ready for the fall!
When you walk outside in Alabama in August it literally feels like a sauna 🧖♀️ and your skin instantly feels wet! Sometimes makeup doesn’t make it past 9am. So definitely trying this foundation. The South comes alive in the summer after 7pm 😌🥵 or before 7am lol.
I live in east Texas. I have oily skin AND I live in an area where the heat index for 4+ months of the year is over 105 basically every single day. I kinda want to try this now! I’m currently battling the elements with the Bobbi Brown Skin Long-wear and the UD Hydromaniac surprisingly with the new Lancôme concealer. It’s so hard to wear makeup down here!
oh girl I feel you, I live in San Antonio and I was outside for 10 minutes yesterday. My makeup literally melted off and my mask definitely did not help
How refreshing you are. You're down to earth and so calming and you feel like you're just doing my makeup with me and we're getting ready together. Your pro tips are fantastic too.
I have cystic acne and very oily skin. I’ve struggled for years to find the perfect foundation that would semi even my skin tone and stayed on through my oily day. Mixing Too Faced peach perfect and colour pop pretty fresh together has been a miracle for me!! Stays on all day without looking dry or cakey! I never would’ve thought to mix without watching your videos, so thank you thank you!!
Oooooo, I lurrrrrve the LA Girl lippy, so pretty 😍 I live in the UK and my heart goes out to all those who have experienced the fires you guys have been suffering. I can only imagine the pain, anguish and upset that so many people have endured. It's too sad 😭😭 So lovely to hear you and your boyfriend had a wonderful vacation. I think you needed a proper break. 💗💗
Yay for the Carolinas! My husband and I live a little bit north of Durham NC in a tiny town called Timberlake. The humidity is REAL. Totally going to try this foundation! 🥰
savannah has SO many good places to visit, especially in october! tons of historical sites, ghost tours, fantastic places to eat and it’s just such a beautiful city. would definitely recommend visiting
I’m from the west coast of Canada and Savannah is super hard to get to from here and yet I have been twice and would 💯 go back again! The food. The history. The architecture. GO‼️
I’ve always been a proud South Carolinian, and I actually live just minutes from Charleston, and I’m there all the time. I’m so thankful to FINALLY have a beauty (makeup) RUclipsr appreciate REAL heat and humidity, like the kind that we deal with here in the Low Country!😂 There are days that the air is so thick with water that it’s hard to even breathe! Don’t get me wrong, I wouldn’t trade my home for the world, but everyone I know LOVES the fall, and always welcomes it very enthusiastically around here!😂 Thank you sweet Taylor!❤️🙏🏼😘
I moved from Southern France (dry hot in the summer) to Charleston (we have 2 seasons, hot and hotter and always 100% humidity feels like) about 25 years ago and I'm still not used to it. I hibernate in the summer and come to life in the Fall and winter :) Having a super strong foundation game with heat/humidity and masks is a must. Glad you enjoyed your time in Charleston - you hit some of my favorite spots. If you ever come back this way, try Renzo or Frannie and The Fox. Pink Bellies too. So much good food and good jazz all around town!
Hope yall enjoyed ur vacation!!! We live in NC but always go to either Charleston or Hilton Head for our vacations! If u haven't been to Folly Beach or Hilton Head Island I highly recommend checking them out! Beautiful, quiet areas!
As a native North Carolinian, the only other place even close to Charlotte is the Raleigh area, try smaller beach towns for historic places and the mountains. It’s a beautiful state.
I live in SC, and you'd better BELIEVE I'm taking notes!! The summers here are brutal. They say you get used to it, but I've lived all of my 38 years here and I'm still not used to it.
I’m from south Florida but lived in Columbia, SC for two years. I didn’t think anything could be hotter and more humid than my home area, but SC was hotter AND more humid! I did love that SC has seasons though.
@@TheJordandean yeah, Columbia is known as being "famously hot" - smack dab in the middle of the state, surrounded by tall buildings, just trapping in the heat 😵💫 It's rediculous.
I love this look! I love the Anastasia Eyeshadow Primer too! Your tip for using it and setting it with an eyeshadow so your mascara won't transfer up is so spot on! I've learned somehow that I need to do that to keep my mascara and eyeliner from transferring in the heat. I definitely need to try that eyeliner! I'm going to get all of these products and try this look for the sweltering heat we're having here in Kansas right now. It was 102 degrees and 78% humidity here today. It's raining now overnight so tomorrow will be even more humid. 🥵 I need a humidity proof base routine! You seem very relaxed in this video. I hope that's how you are actually feeling after your trip! Wow! You are so gorgeous Taylor! And so sweet! 😇 Thank you! 💕
I use this and mix w my catrice HD foundation to make it slightly more satin than dewy and it’s the best my foundation has ever looked/lasted. I live in Texas and it definitely withstands the heat
i put the physicians formula foundation in my cart at the speed of light, always trust your reviews because weve been on almost identical skin journeys and i always love the products you make me try.
I had to try this. I live in Southwest VA and it has been so humid. The Physician’s Formula Butter Believe It has really impressed me with its staying power. Thanks for the recommendation. 💜
I live in Wilmington, NC so I get how the humidity is! I have dry skin, but even I have to worry about my makeup melting off..lol! Humidity is no joke! 🥵😅 Charlotte, SC is so cute, and quaint! It’s one of me and my fiancé’s favorite getaways! 🥂❤️
Thanks for sharing the foundation! I loved physicians formula healthy foundation, and I felt it was a hidden jem, I’m excited to try this one, and I think your right it looked darker by the end of the video. I’m so excited when a # 1 foundation is a drug store one, I don’t know why it’s so satisfying 🤷♀️. You look super cute with your hair up!
I'm from South Carolina and the heat and humidity here is something else, especially on the coast where you visited, Charleston is beautiful, the best time to visit is the fall, it's still hot and humid, but not as bad, it's full of old southern charm and history, it doesn't really cool down here sometimes until November and our winters can't compare to yalls winters, I don't really even bother to wear makeup, and your 100% correct about the hair, a bun is about all you can do for your hair here in SC in the summertime, great video, now I know a good foundation to get just incase I do need to wear makeup in the hot humid summertime here🥰🥰🥰
Your idea about putting the tatcha primer under your eyes is a game changer. I tried it with the exact same primer and my concealer looked smooth and didn't settle into my lines! Definitely doing that from now on!
I’m from Seattle but now live in Austin. There are a lot more community and personal pools in the south. I love summer here because I swim all the time. I go for walks too but just try to be done by 10am
Reason why I love your videos? Because you always use products I have never heard of or seen. It seems like most influencers/RUclipsrs always use the same exact products and it drives me crazy. Thank you for not being a cookie cutter RUclipsr.
I'm in Wisconsin and we get the hot humid summer and the freezing snowy winters so it's barely ever a good time to be outside no joke. Fall and spring are so short and then you'll either be freezing or melting no in between. It's been in the upper 90s so much this summer
Taylor, can you please review the la girl mixing pigments? I'm really fair and most foundations pull yellow on me. Would love to see if they're worth it. Love your channel! 💗
I have oily skin and I love this foundation. I've been using it for months. The one thing I can say about it is that you don't need much... If you use too much it can go downhill really fast. I'm suprised more people aren't talking about it and living it. How does this not go viral on TikTok when other terrible things do.
I was literally thinking to myself when the video started…”wow her under eyes look FLAWLESS and sooo smooth!” And then you put the primer under there! I’m going to have to try that!!
Oooooh girl if you liked Charleston you'd love Savannah.... I would move there. Maybe I will!!! Of course, I love heat and humidity, feels good on my rheumatoid arthritis, lupus, etc. Such a great, walkable town and plenty to do. Recommend driving out to Tybee Island as well. XOXO
Dude im so fucking happy i found my tribe! Finalllyy a REAL FULLLLLL coverage content creator!!!! I know im late to the game but sooooo happy i found you 🥰🥰🥰🥰
WE NEED MORE VIDEOS OF HUMIDITY PROOF MAKEUP ON RUclips IN GENERAL! it's something I always used to check when looking at foundation reviews. if they live in Arizona, it's not going to sit on my skin the same in Georgia hahaha thank you!
Charlotte, NC - Charleston, SC. Different states. Having said that, you are better off comparing Charleston and Savannah than Charlotte. Completely different vibe (including weather) especially because the piedmont locations versus the coastal flats areas are different worlds altogether. As far as jogging or running in the south, you just get used to it and know the best times to do it. Great video!
As you applied the Danessa Myricks bronzer I thought “wow, that’s orange.” I’m so glad you showed us in natural lighting in the end. Looks beautiful! I’m adding it to my cart today.
i live in the middle of florida and the weather here is torturous!!! i hate when spring comes along and i used to LOVEEEE spring when i lived in nyc. i went to Charleston years ago and completely fell in love with it there. i was supposed to stay for a weekend and i ended up staying for two weeks.
Perfect!!! My sisters wedding is next week and its so warm and humid here that I know imma melt! Now I just need a humid free naturally curly hair routine from someone ✌🏻❤
Amika has anti humidity products. Find a really strong hold hairspray even if it makes your hair a little crunchy as soon as you get there run your fingers through your hair to break it up. Don’t separate the hair after curling it leave it in the curl form until last minute
I’m from NC and I stay inside as much as possible from May-October unless there is a pool involved 🤣 I audibly gasped watching one of Tati’s videos when she said she doesn’t have air conditioning in Seattle because my southern brain cannot compute living without a/c 🥵
I use the Elf primer and Tatcha together. I live in okla where it's 100 today with -80-90% humidity ALWAYS!!! It's just right. I'm definitely going to try this foundation soon!!!
Wow I love these new upload times! It's right after when my work ends and no one is better than Taylor after a long work day!! Thanks girl! Appreciate your effort 🤗🖤
I live in Montreal, Quebec which is usually hot during summer time but this year..OMG! August is in the 96-100 farenheit 🥵 To prevent mu make-up from melting, i love to use the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray! Its soooo good 😎
Awesome makeup look! I live in the UK where it's cold but will defo be using these tips when I go on holidays :) Not surprised to see the Nyx eyeliner and the Essence lash princess mascara too!
I live on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and I know a thing or two about humidity! My makeup routine in the summer consists of an spf, powder foundation, a light dust of blush and contour and either a lip oil or lip gloss. It's so hot and humid here from April until late September.
I wear wet n wild photofocus foundation or it cosmetics matte cc cream (the blue tube mix with it cosmetics cc illumination because i have combo skin normal+dry) and mac prolongwear concealer. With hourglass powder, bronzer and blusher with mac spray and then ud spray and it last the whole day and it last the whooole day. I live in Malaysia where its humid and when i wore my makeup, i was in langkawi by the beach which is hotter than other parts of Malaysia. It is AMAZING.
I’m in east Texas. People have no clue what summer is truly like for us southern states. We need shit that lasts companies!! And doesn’t look like shit. FYI - the new L’Oréal nude serum foundation is FUCKING BOMB! And it lasts on me, easily 12 hours with rare spot powdering. Thanks for this ❤️
My work took me to Orlando, FL where I barely survived the summer heat and humidity. It rains most every afternoon, the sun comes out and you can see the fog of humidity rising from the streets. It’s the most miserable feeling. Even my kneecaps were sweaty!
Excited to check this foundation out. Charleston is such a cool city. Tons of great food and experiences. Savannah is a cross between Charleston and New Orleans. Laid back, party, history. I loved the Bliss sunblock you had in your top 10. Thanks.
I've just moved to Texas from Cali and I've never had to deal with this humidity lol messin up my hair and makeup..I've literally been re evaluating all of the products I'm using
I live in northern north carolina. It's prefect the last bit of April until about May 20th. Then it gets STICKY until about the last week in September. It's still hot but not as sticky. October and November are our pretty comfortable months lol between December and March is cold and rainy. So muddy lol very little time where it's comfortable to be outside lol
I live in Atlanta and that butter foundation is so gooddd! (Normalish skin) I’ve been setting it with the pink cover girl powder and it looks perfect after wearing it all day. Just don’t powder your nose if you’re wearing a mask because of what Taylor said about touching it up.
I bought this on your recommendation and I really like it! I agree, the one thing I also don't like is the scent. Not needed!! It was slightly drying on me, but I wonder if I just need a more intense moisturizer underneath. Otherwise it has amazing coverage!!
I know I’m late to this but I NEED to try this! I’ve always wanted to and you just solidified that for me. BUT what you said about when you sweat with powder verse wearing no powder I’ve been bartending for 14 years now and this past year I stopped powdering my makeup before work and used a matte foundation so I didn’t look shiny because when I would set with powder and then start sweating like crazy running around I would go to tap my makeup with my fingers or even a beauty blender and it literally LIFTS ALL MY MAKEUP off in the area I touched bc of the powder. And then when you try to fix it you have like a grey line that looks so bad! When I don’t set it I can dab all the sweat off with some rice paper and then take whatever liquid or cream I need and add a little more and blend it in. No missing patches of makeup or anything! I’ve never heard anyone else say this but YOU! And I was like yes Yes YESSS! Lol it’s soooo true and people say you’re sweating you need powder. Like no that only makes it worse! However I do powder on non working days and in the winter time too. Great video!❤️👍🏼
Lol it does get very hot here. It’s funny to hear other people complain about heat. I’m so glad you had fun. That’s my part of the woods. It’s definitely different from Charlotte. It’s coastal another city with the same vibe is Wilmington and Savannah. Not sure if you like kayaking, it’s always enjoyable to go kayaking in Shem Creek out into the inlet. Out in the inlet you can see Fort Stewart and the Carnival cruise boats. A lot of history. Downtown is the markets with art, food, jewelry. The area is attracting TV and movies shows are like southern charm.
Thank you so much for the introduction to this foundation or else I would have never tried it. I've gone from oily to dry skin and it's been a struggle to find a foundation that doesn't dry me out further and look cakey or look and feel oily. This is exactly what I needed.
In the heat/humidity (Florida) I use the Covergirl BB matte foundation and set my loose powder by spraying Gérard Cosmetics Slay All Day setting spray on my beauty sponge and applying it that way. Use my Slay All Day All over at the end too. I can get 16 hrs wear out of that, and I'm really oily. That makeup/foundation looks beautiful on you btw! Please try the Essence Camouflage+ hydrating concealer. I'm loving it on my mature oily skin. Don't even have to set it! 💖💖🏴
The Haley's concealer is EV.ERY.THINNNNNG! Wow, I was shocked to find how much I love this concealer, as I typically don't LOVE any concealer. It is soo good! You and Juicyjas sold me and it's ridiculously good. For those wondering, it is matte and FULL coverage but blends sooo beautifully and only looks heavy if I realllly cake it on (the first time I tried it). Def a new holy grail.
No fragrance in anaything! Yes! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼 Essence 16hr foundation is pretty amazing tbh, also Revolution Pro Hydra Matte Setting powder is insaaaaaanely good! (It’s not that “hydra”,that’s why it lasts pretty good even on the beach)
I live in South Carolina and only been to Charleston once 😂 I did just go on a trip to Carowinds which is on the border of South and North Carolina and it was miserable in the heat 😂

Yayy it’s foundation Friday! These are my favourite ! Love from 🇮🇳
i live in the middle of florida and the weather here is torturous!!! i hate when spring comes along and i used to LOVEEEE spring when i lived in nyc. i went to Charleston years ago and completely fell in love with it there. i was supposed to stay for a weekend and i ended up staying for two weeks.
Same travel experience- we were supposed to go to Lake Tahoe except we ended up in Nashville..looked at Charleston, but that is for next time.
savannah is gorgeous, definitely recommend going on a tour around the historic district
I’m twenty seconds in and this footage is CRISP✨✨✨
Sally Beauty Bioterra alcohol free defining gel for naturally curly hair- I have no frizz when using this- put it on right in shower
@@Hannahfarrior would this work for naturally curly hair? I don't use curling irons etc. ✌🏻
@@kristanl2443 THANK YOU! 🙏🏻 I'll check it out.
@@Zara_Brown the amika products might work but I don’t suggest running your fingers through your hair
Um why are those little primer samples so freaking cute
I live in Montreal, Quebec which is usually hot during summer time but this year..OMG! August is in the 96-100 farenheit 🥵
To prevent mu make-up from melting, i love to use the Charlotte Tilbury setting spray!
Thanks for this ❤️
Texas girl here! The heat is hell here. That's all.
My work took me to Orlando, FL where I barely survived the summer heat and humidity. It rains most every afternoon, the sun comes out and you can see the fog of humidity rising from the streets. It’s the most miserable feeling. Even my kneecaps were sweaty!
The lip is pretty!
Beautiful look.
I was near there when my son graduated from boot camp. You should explore it definitely when it is cooler
Florida girl! This is right up my alley! Thank you. And you look very naturally pretty in this video
Excited to check this foundation out. Charleston is such a cool city. Tons of great food and experiences. Savannah is a cross between Charleston and New Orleans. Laid back, party, history. I loved the Bliss sunblock you had in your top 10. Thanks.
Thank you for the tips! I live in the south so this was perfect!
I’m in Southern IL and humidity’s 61% today. I think ppl run and things because you get used to it if your in it all the time. The same as the cold.
I went to Savannah in April and it was AMAZING! It was everything I thought it would be. ❤️thanks for the video
I actually love the butter believe it foundation. Gives my scars and dark marks decent coverage with 2(sometimes 2.5) pumps.
As a South Carolinian, I just try not to go outside much between June and September 😂 Glad you enjoyed your trip!
From another South Carolinian, ditto. Waiting for Fall!
Went to college in Charleston. Love that city! I do recommend a trip to Savannah. Beautiful look. 💞💞
Love this…when you have a choice to bring 1,000 different items & these are what you chose, let’s just say I’m going shopping! Great video!
No fragrance in anaything! Yes! 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
Essence 16hr foundation is pretty amazing tbh, also Revolution Pro Hydra Matte Setting powder is insaaaaaanely good! (It’s not that “hydra”,that’s why it lasts pretty good even on the beach)
I live in South Carolina and only been to Charleston once 😂 I did just go on a trip to Carowinds which is on the border of South and North Carolina and it was miserable in the heat 😂
