Since it seems like this video is getting a few views, let me quickly apologize for the audio! It seems the crappy editing software I'm using just pumped it up a ton. I'm going to invest in a better program to hopefully avoid this issue in the future.
I am working on episodes that will cover gameplay, weapon types, spells and casting, consumables, and combat, so check back for those over the coming days and weeks. If you have any questions about defensive stats, feel free to drop them in the comments and I'll try to answer. My first video is on offensive stats and the attribute system, so be sure to check that out as well!

I didn't notice you cover it, so I'll mention something I felt stupid when I learned recently. Hopefully it helps someone else.
For the four physical damage types, Strike and Pierce/Thrust are pretty self evident, is it smashy and smacky, or is it pokey and stabby, but pay attention to "sharp" looking weapons. Slash and Standard (covered by the first entry in the section, Physical), are different attack types, with Slash generally coming from more stereotypically dexterity-oriented weapon types like Curved Swords and Daggers, and Standard coming from things like Straight Swords and most Halberds.
For ages, back from Dark Souls even, I never noticed this difference, and assumed Physical was just for weird outlier attacks or niche use cases like grapples or Dark spells in DS1.
It's occasionally a bit difficult to identify exactly which of Slash or Standard an enemy uses without looking it up, unfortunately. They thankfully have the same "best" armor in the Bull Goat set in Elden Ring.
I know I felt silly when I finally realized this, at least.

Or don't worry about defense just do a bleed build and get the mimic and it's easy mode.
