    A tad bit chilly for sure! Having a great fire is always a wonderful addition and blessing. Indeed, the nose is the hardest for me to keep warm, even in good conditions. Always a great learning experience. Tuck into a warm bed with a nice hot drink. Bruce and Otis

I would like to get out their and cut a bunch of fire wood for the next overnighter out their. I think I'm going to try and sleep out this Saturday night it's supposed to be 1F. It will be on my property this time, but we will see

    Hey Scotty, have you got the poly cotton liner for that sleeping bag set? A decent wool scarf wrapped loosely around your head and face is likely 100% the cure for the frosty nose. The scarf is also a multi use item.

    • @scottysurvival
      @scottysurvival  8 месяцев назад +2

      I think I do I have to find it. Ya I agree on the scarf. I have a USGI wool scarf somewhere. I might try and give it a try this Saturday night again on my property. It's supposed to be around 0F a little warmer but still cold.

      Hi, thankyou for the reply, you definitely made the right decision to exit the position you were in, it's a serious life/death decision, earlier this year I was street homeless, or maybe end last year, more to the point, it was - 3/4°C, snow and sleet was dropping, luckily I had dry necessary bits to get through, I at same time have a good friend who was living in same area off grid but he was nr river&damp got to him, begged him to get to A&E & Turned out he had hypothermia, pneumonia and ecoli, so glad he listened & went for medicinal assistance, my point being that he thought he just had a bit of food poisoning and he'd be fine, can tell in someone's voice when they're unwell, not looking for any acclaim but just wanted to emphasise how serious it can get, well done for making the right choice,look forward to more episodes, in fact can take from your own experience with this podcast episode that logic & common sense are massive assets, again thankyou for uploading it, cheers, J. G.

    Hey Scotty, glad you made it through and your nose didn't fall off! Yeah, maybe one of those "Bank Robber" ski masks would have worked better for you. Or maybe one of those military Antarctic face masks? I remember seeing those online, don't know if you can still find them?

    Great video Scotty!! maybe a wool scarf that it is not too thick or the woven part is not so consistent and passes the breathability test could help. how good is the three color desert gore tex ? ive been wanting to replace my gore tex navy parka. i really really dislike the camo pattern haahhah. thank you for the video God bless you and your family my friend !!

Wonder if it would look better dyed. The 3 color parka was my first time eating it. I like it I used to have the woodland camo one both are Gen 1. I like them for a tough out shell.
