Just think what he could do if he RUclipsd full time!
The dude has serious skills people get jealous that could be one of the reason.
Agreed. Great videos. As good as b is for build used to be
Yep he’s just waiting for the algorithm to pick him up
He only had a couple hundred when i started watching him a few months ago
I think what makes this build so great is the character the truck has. It's no show truck. Dents, scratches, scrapes; you even made your own scar, learned what you needed and added it yourself. Truly a DIY build and we are all living vicariously through you
It has been through a lot already, it can only get better right? Haha
Been following your truck build from the beginning! Love the content!
Definitely a good idea to remove the ground when welding, I’ve had an ecu get fried from a cage being welded into my track car. Not a fun experience.
I disconnect the ECM as well I've had a computer go bad and it's a pain
Wow you made that looks easy! It’s amazing how creative you are with this stuff. Everything you’re doing is from scratch and it’s been awesome to see the truck be built from the ground up. You’re extremely talented and these videos are awesome! Cheers 🍻
Thing is looking so good, can't wait to start seeing some offroad videos man!
Thank you!
This video is a perfect example why this is my favorite RUclips channel. So fun to watch this truck come together and you have no fear taking on any project. 👍
Thanks for watching!
The transformation of this truck is remarkable. Great work. The gussets were a smart addition. Those little pieces will make a huge difference. Keep it up! 🍻
Will do👍🏻
mike def deserves way more subs, i see lots of potential in this channel
Makes me smile when I see a new drop. Yeah!
I'll say what I always say if the welds don't crack or fall off when you use it.. You did a DAMN FINE JOB lol
Thank you!
Great job and very informative. Thanks man!
Let’s goooooo been waiting for this one, love the content man
I Appreciate it!

Love the shade tree welding man did a good job on the taco machine don’t blame you for doing it yourself you know The way you want it
Thank you!
@@mikes4x4garage No problem love watching your channel had a 2017 before it got totaled I ordered a 2022 over three months and still haven’t got it
Like a great book, I look forward to your next chapter!
Very impressed what you have done to this truck! Congrats!
Thank you
Thanks for putting out content!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Hell yeah, my favorite underrated RUclipsr posted
Hey thank you!
Such a fun series.
Those welds look good, like what I would expect if I paid somebody to do it. I recommend the textured bedliner spray for the sliders and bumpers (if you haven't used it yet). Lays pretty nice.
Hey thanks! Personally I like the brush on, never was a fan of the texture of bedliner.
@@mikes4x4garage steelit I’ve heard good things about. Looks like powder coat
@@alexs825 $$$$
@@mikes4x4garage if you didn’t live in California you would think differently. The rocks from the roads in CO literally sand blast all finishes. Rather pay for something that doesn’t get destroyed. My powder coat isn’t even good enough
Cerakote is another option but I haven’t seen anyone do that for sliders, etc. I just have to touch up my powder coat with paint+primer every once in a while
@@alexs825 oh I grew up in upstate New York, I know all about it!
This channel is so good omg.
Hell yeah bro this is inspirational
Super proud of you bro. Good work, you definitely deserve to go and have some fun!
Thank you! The truck is finally coming together!
Good Job! 👍 They look great!
Definitely not a trailer queen. Great job my man!

Hey thanks!!
Best Tacoma channel on the tube
🍻🍻
You are one talented individual man!!
Thanks 🙌🏻
So sick. Keep the vids comin
Dude, that looks nice. Great work.
Thank you!
This is the type of channel I like to watch untill they blow up and buy all new machines and equipment and tools. Great work with what ya got.
Shiiii, I wish I had some better stuff. Maybe in the future, I’ll get off of this struggle bus
@@mikes4x4garage I like watching the struggle bus stuff because that’s what I got a ticket to ride on. It’s inspirational to see others using what they got and not fancy that I’ll never own.
Great job brother 👏
Awesome job, man!
Bro this is awesome!!!!!!
Thank ya!
Nice job buddy those rock sliders sure came out factory quality
Thanks!
this video is so good dude!!! you deserve more subscribers
Thank you!

Thanks Abraham!
exciting stuff bro!
Looks damn good bro!
Thank you!
That is so sick bro looks badass to
Thanks!
You are so creative! Looks 👍 amazing
Here out in the mid west, can confirm kick outs work AMAZING. I have used them probably every wheeling trip in the tight woods.
Not so many trees here on the west coast 👌🏻
This channel is legit. I need to reinforce that in your head. So you keep making these vids.
Thank you 🙌🏻
Favorite videos on RUclips
Nice work, looks great 👍
Great build on the sliders! keep it up brother !!
Thank you!
*insert comment roasting welds here*
Sliders came out awesome, wish I was local to get you to build me some. Really great work
Thank you!
Love your stuff man. Hope to be as cool as you one day. Keep up the great work.
You are just as cool! Thanks 🙌🏻
Nothing wrong with ur welds ur a pretty good fabricator. And i had bfg all terrains on my 06 tacoma and it went absolutely anywhere so good choice of tires 👌🏻
Hey thanks!
My buddy and I are putting together an aluminum rear bumper for my 4Runner. I go up to the Eldorado National Forest as it’s only a couple hours drive but have stayed off the rubicon trail. Have stuck to the easier to moderate trails. Just waiting until my buddy fixed up his bronco so we can try it. Great video once again
Nice! Love that area!
@@mikes4x4garage yeah, truck is looking awesome!
They look sick 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Thanks!!
Nice work!!!
Awesome job!
Thanks Steve!
your welds look great pal. awesome design and execution.
Thank you!
I have to say, you sir are brave doing that so close to your Santa Cruz 😎 but cool video gives inspiration and confidence to attempt this for my Suzuki sidekick.
Love sidekicks !!
Sweet video mike
Good shit man keep it up
kickouts just look cool tbh :)
Ive really been enjoying these videos bro. I am about to buy a 2022 TRD off-road and i am super excited. I also have a little Honda and an XJ similar to yours.
Hell yeah! That’s the best trio to have! Enjoy the truck 👍🏻
@@mikes4x4garage 🤘
These look great. Tried to get up to Miller Lake on the Rubicon trail from Tahoma last weekend and it did not go great. Still a ton of snow!
Sounds like fun though!
Nice video mike!
Nah fam your videos are addicting and tbh I don’t know much about working on cars besides the basics nor do I usually watch vehicle videos but man are ur videos good just the way you work through problems and just come up with answers/solutions is very inspiring and very interesting good work on the videos and the truck much love keep up the good work my brotha
Hey thanks for the kind words! I am glad to hear that 👍🏻👍🏻
@@mikes4x4garage they were very well deserved 👍
So dope!!!
Your welds look fine. Nice Taco and keep up the good work. I have a 2014 that I have done a few things to and plan to do more.
Thank you! Love second gens. Look the best IMO
Hey man I haven't finished watching the video yet and I've commented on here before. TLDR; I work at a Toyota only 4x4 shop. When we do our custom body mount relocation we always weld a plate onto the frame, then weld the new body mount onto that welded plate. We do this the the body mount doesnt rip right off the frame!! These toyota frames are super thin and flexy! Much love and I know that this is all a learning process!
Smart move, I would’ve done this!
Good truck channel!
Thank you!
Sick work man fabing your own sliders. You should do your rear bumper next!!
Thank you! It’s on the list 👍🏻
Great job. Professional done 1/4 of the price. I went about and bought 200$ side steps. It will help enough. Not a weekend warrior or die hard overlander. Keep it up.
Thank you!
Awesome. Maybe the next project is a set for the last little bit on the bed behind the rear tire? Those come in handy on my gladiator.
A rear bumper would be sweet
Good video bro
Those came out nice! Can't wait to replace the rockers on my ZJ with rectangle tube this summer. After putting sliders on my First Gen Taco years ago I wasn't scared to put it in some stupid places.
Nice, love me some 2x6 rockers 👍🏻
@@mikes4x4garage just makes so much sense on the unibody trucks. Keeps the ground clearance up.
I wish I knew how to weld and had the garage to work in (only have an open carport) I don’t have the skills or space to do a built not bought truck.
I subbed up on your latest video where you talk about how much it cost you to buy & build your truck.
Truck looks great, and love what you have been able to do in your garage with Harbor Freight tools! Are your wheels the Toyota TRD PRO SEMA wheels that are 7" wide, or are they aftermarket look-a-likes that are wider?
Love the content would love to see a high clearance rear bumper vid if possible!
Coming soon 😉
Sup man! Actually just cut off my kickouts tonight and made em straight. One thing I would highly reccomend, is going to at least 4, if not 5 slider to frame legs. Mine that I originally did with 4 legs, are tweaked up quite a bit from use over time. Nice work though, and you definitely deserve more subscribers!
Not a bad idea! Thank you 👍🏻
SHIIIIIIIIIIIIT! I'll pay Mike to build me some sliders, they look better than some out there!
well done
I’ve never seen a welding issue on automotive stuff but I’ve seen some weird stuff welding on semis, disconnect the negative and the positive. The ground for the welder can become a ground for the rest of the truck too and become a problem. Wish I had a welder at home so I could have made my own sliders too 😭
Excellent! 2 Thumbs up...........
Thank you 👍🏻👍🏻
