That is exactly how I imagine every episode he narrates as if he is on trial on behave of a plaintiff proving what a scumbag Zack Morris is and all the illegal shit he has done or caused.

It's funny how, when the show was on the air, Screech was always the irritating comic relief weirdo, but when you focus on just the Zack stories Screech looks more like an unwilling pawn and bullying victim. You kind of feel sorry for him.
Screech could be kind of annoying at times, but he really is an extremely tragic figure in every sense of the term.

I like to think that this show is just Screech's memoirs as he recalls how horrible Zack was to him and everyone he knew.

The narrator is getting more and more intense each episode. Like he really hates Zach.
I can't say I blame him. If Zack were a real person, they would've made ID and Dateline specials about him years ago.
Can’t blame him. The narrator worships Kelly, and she ends up marrying Zack despite all his BS. Here, he literally spies on her in such a way that would probably makes his friends avoid him in real life. Yet here, they not only forgive him, but plan an elaborate lesson for him as if the spying were just a prank. WTF? Her desire to treat the spying as a game shows how much she likes him, though. So to the “narrator,” it’s a bit like being a stable young professional watching your dream girl run off with a dude on a Harley.
However, since this episode demonstrates how much Kelly likes Zack on a fundamental psychological level, it means her whole flirtation with Slater was just to make Zack jealous. So she’s not exactly pristine in all this either.
The narrator is one of the nerds that Zack stuffed in a locker.

In 10th grade I was supposed to bring an heirloom into class and talk about it. I didn't really have one, so 2 min before I get called up I borrow my friend's watch. For those next 10 minutes it became my grandfather's watch. I talked about how much it meant to me and how he gave it to me right before his passing to the utter sadness of the entire room, including my teacher. After I got back to my table I slid it back to him to everyone's utter shock that I could look so emotional about something not real. I credit Zack Morris for that stunt which got me an A. He is defintely trash though. Lol. I might be too.

I don't know what Zack's problem was but I was totally crushing on Rhonda back in the day. You named many of the awesome qualities. I can totally imagine her trying to fight alongside you if it came down to it.

Same here, looking back at it now I think he didn't seem that bad because if you compare him to the 80s movies where way to many had "pranks" that would be considered sexual assault or even rape, zach was kind of mild. But still trash.

Rhonda isn't even that bad looking. I don't understand what makes her "gross" to Zack. Aside from the fact that she's obviously a 25-year-old woman masquerading as a teenager, but that's normal for Bayside High.
Also, Kelly's acting when she's going nuts with the "murder migraine" is on point. You do that in a horror movie, half the audience will have shit themselves.
Honestly the only reasons I can think of is that she's abnormally tall/strong and rather forward in her advances. The later of the two baffles me as Zach has been shown to have no problem with aggressive girls in other episodes. Not liking her because of her amazon stature is pretty superficial too.

It's funny how today we can look at the actions of Mr Zachary Morris and can quite clearly see the consistent sociopathy and criminality in his behavior but at the time it was hard to see it as him being a mischievous bad boy. I mean SBTB was aimed towards that time’s early teens and tweens so Morris’ warning signs were passed as quirky but early teens nowadays have to fend themselves against so much threats so earlier in life, so 13 reasons why is not shy in portraying their perpetrators. Lest we forget, Zack Morris attempted mass brainwashing, exploited his female (and male) friends multiple times and showed signs of compulsive lying.

There's a very strong trend of narcissism and remorselessness in zack's behavior looking at it with fresh eyes it's hard to watch without wondering why his friends put up with his shit? He does it over and over again and it's not like slater, screech or Jessie cook up whacky schemes and shenanigans that create trouble, Zack is the only one in that friend group that does that and yet they forgive him within the space of an episode. Nobody in real life would put up with all that crap from one person
I absolutely never miss one of these. I can't even keep a straight face while I watch it. So amazing. I grew up watching these, and I think that's what makes this all the more hilarious. I wish he could do more of them.

Ugh, yes! I re-watched this series as an adult and Steve was incredibly creepy and, her dad was a cop, her mother also went to the academy, and they basically just let their neighbor's kid sexually harass their daughter at every turn. Eddie also became an officer and also didn't do anything. Then let it happen again when Eddie was being chased by Myrtle. And, in the end, Laura picked the one who was sexually harassing her and manipulating her for almost her entire life, but she didn't want the cool, model clone who was always nothing but a respectable gentleman to her. Like, wtf was going on?
I agree, if they also make a series of videos called Ben Seaver Is A Pervert. Remember in the episode of Growing Pains where he got his girlfriend to parade around in a bikini for a video he done as a class project? The original intent was to make the Zack character a Ferris Bueller type. Now that I think about it Ferris Bueller came across like a selfish sociopath as well.
