Subscriber 428 and like number 100 on this video! Beautiful gold coin, you can collect the whole series in just one coin, lol! I'll back back to watch more videos from you later on👍
Hi, can't fault their service at the moment, the coin arrived after a few days. Would be better if it was next day service like amazon but cant really complain about that. I think coin is in great condition, as expected in brand new bullion condition from dealer. Don't think you would have any worries ordering from this dealer.
How much in premiums are you paying for Gold in the U.K? The premiums for Gold Eagles have been pretty high here in the U.S. the last few months so I've been buying Canadian Maples
For this coin it was round 7.5%, now you can get it for 6.8%, typical britannias are around 5%, 4.8% today. Maples are really nice still. Hopefully I will be able to get 1 one day :)
Yeah nice coin, they have been ok. I think its respected in the bullion dealer community and have been around for some time so shouldnt get any issues, if you did i think they would resolve. Delivery times for them are slow i think.
Congrates on your purchase, hoping to get another before end of the year so hoping prices will stay low for a few years yet lol. Thanks for stopping by
Its pretty crazy the price, I would never imagine I would spend so much on a coin. Even more crazy when you think I didn't know nothing about precious metals and bullion just over 3 Months ago.
Thank you for your comment, I was and still am so excited I got one. I look at it everyday lol. I wanted the 1oz as my first coin because i feel i would of been so disappointed with the size of fractionals, thats one of the reasons why i didn't go sovereign route, I think I would of been underwhelmed.
@@averagestacker I can understand your thinking, sovereigns are underwhelming, but they are universally recognised and you would have no problem liquidating them. To give you an idea, I have enough sovereigns to inflation proof my fixed monthly income for 12 years. BTW, some sovereigns are not all the same design and you can get double sovereigns too. A double sovereign in definitely NOT underwhelming and less than half the price of a 1oz gold coin. You can also get 1/4oz and 1/2oz Britannias with wonderful different designs.
@@harryzero1566 thanks, I have been looking at older sovereigns as the colour looks more gold to me. Great to hear you have built a fixed monthly income that can last for 12 years. What was your strategy? I will need to visit a coin shop to feel and look at the different gold sizes, what I did was look and feel at a 1pence in UK and I read that is the size of the sovereigns. I have been looking at the 1/4oz coins, especially the Queens beast which command a premium.
@@averagestacker my 'strategy' was a wonky path of misjudgements, I started with silver, then silver and gold, than platinum. The silver was in all sorts of currency units and the platinum was too special and I would end up dying before I liquidated it. It depends on your age and circumstances, my age and circumstances if initially taken into consideration, should have been where I am now, retired on a fixed income. A silver to gold ratio of 10 - 1. Your silver should be denominated in the currency units of the country you reside in, it should be as much as you can physically carry, about 600+ ounces. A strong bullion monster box takes 500oz The rest made up of gold, if you are in the US, Eagles and or Buffalo, and In the UK, sovereigns or britannias. Don't get hung up on 1/4oz premium returns, your QBs are 24ct anyway, and your sovereigns are 22ct. The odd sovereign comes along anyway, if your always looking for them. To keep your interest up, treat stacking like stamp collecting, some coins will be more desirable than others, a 2002 sovereign is a shield back, a take on a Victorian golden jubilee theme, for example. Coin shops are good if they can acquire what your looking for.
@@averagestacker BTW, ive noticed any stock already available in coin shops the price doesn't move down much when there is a dip in the spot price. BUT, if you order current issues not in stock, you can fix a price nearer to the spot price. I personally like the current colour tone of the new sovereigns, less washed out .
Your already above average, a 1oz coin is about half way up the stacking ladder. Other stackers start with silver, then move to fractional gold. BUT I can deduce from the way you wielded those scissors you are a newby. Gently does it. As its the completer you have im guessing you might be from the UK. Silver is taxed with VAT and has heavy premiums added to the retail price. You can still get special scheme tax rated silver when you purchase pre-owned. If silver is not your thing, you can get low premium 1/4oz gold free of VAT and liabilities of potential Capital Gains Tax (CGT).
Thanks for the comment, you have a keen eye and I had learnt my lesson with sissors. I cut through half the invoice note that was in the parcel lol. Luckily I didn't damage the coin itself. Yeah Silver in UK is hard to stack currently. Im finding even preowned silver is way over (30-40% sometimes 50%) spot price for government minted coins.
