Just got my first Britannia! Budget stacking/collecting right now to hopefully be on a path to do something similar to you on the hobby level by next year. Thanks for doing this even through your recovery. Cheers and stay well!
@@BackyardBullion eagles, libertads, maples, a kangaroo, and now a Britannia. Aside from that it is mostly small bars & junk. This channel among those of whom you collaborate with are a great encouragement and second opinions to reference!
Congratulations times three, BYB. Thorough delight for me to see your complete gold sets. Hope your 2-oz silvers are still spotless. Great episode of PW👍
Would like to see a History series, each coin minted using the designs and technology available to the royal mint at that time period. Interesting to see low resolution, off-centre strikes on modern minted bullion as well as the progression through time. Would also like to see an Empires series, one for each major world empire.
Great video wow you have all varieties . This series is my favourite. I only have a full set of 1/4oz . My last coin was nearly twice the price of the first few coins . All my gold comes from Atkinson's or chards both great dealers, good servcie and price , both companies have a slightly different market .
Hi great collection. I have 5 whole series of 2oz silver, and whole collection of 10oz silver. What's your advice, sell now or hold on for a long time?
I would definitely be against another Queen's Beasts Series, this series was so good another is not necessary. But when the time is right, a King's Beasts Series would be great. It could an awesome way to kick-off Charles' reign in coinage.
can I ask you what kind of capsules you're using for the quarter gold ? I got my ones from atksons too but they didnt know in a capsule and I like the one you got or where from if you dont mind!
Very happy to add the 2017 queens beasts lion 1oz platinum to my collection. It’s my 1st oz of platinum, and correct me if I’m wrong it is also the 1st royal mint platinum coin release, obviously 1st in the queens beasts series and I have no idea what the mintage is. I don’t think I’ll collect anymore of the platinum in the series, just really happy happy numero uno.
I would like to see a heraldic beasts series, its a way of continuing but distancing from the Queens Beasts. There can be all sorts of new animals such as the bear, wolf and stag and then possibly do a Kings Beast series in the future.
Yes! Great video, lovely to see the three sets so far. The whole range full stack video will be awesome to see once the final releases are out. 2 of my 1/4 ounce coins are still in the UK and I haven’t seen them yet. Cannot wait to put them all together soon I hope. I have the same box for them so good to see what yours look like 👍 I’m not selling these, they are permanently to become part of my family to pass down over time.
You are right. The Queen's beast is the best series I have seen to date. I have the Lunar year of the dog and it's the ugliest coin in my collection LOL
I find that only the Lion, Griffin, Dragon, Unicorn are holding strong premiums. Bull is doing OK but bearing in mind the spot price was around £1,000 when this series came out its a win win on the earlier coins.
My QB boxes from goldsilver.be look ok undamaged! But the poor quality of the materials becomes apparent with the slightest damage. However the 1/4oz, 1oz, and 2oz trays are all the same size. This means I can fit 3 different trays all in the one box. I would be interested to know what a full set of 2oz silver QBs in capsules set in a display tray would yield.
Next up i'd like to see a top 10 monarch series. Spread it out just the same and should HM pass in the middle of the series they can finish it and add Charles to the Britannia and any new series the following year. Interesting fact, when the monarch changes the new one faces in the opposite direction.
I wouldn't mind them using the same designs, but on 500g and 1kg silver coinbars. We need better coinbars for cheap VAT bars in EU. Cook Island are nice, but these would be great. I'm also hoping for 10 oz coinbars of the Australian 1 oz Dragon series.
@@BackyardBullion I agree. Why would Royal Mint make a product specifically for the EU market. But sometimes we need to be allowed to dream. ;-) I'm not giving up hope on a 10 oz Perth Mint Dragon coinbar though.
But not yet finished for 10oz silver. Hopefully silver is a lot lower when the last 3 become available. The 10oz Lion of Mortimer is dragging its feet here in Canada.
Might be against the grain, but the only one that does anything for me from the QB's is the Red Dragon of Wales. Which is probably why I like the Germania mints Fafnir. Now that has the potential to be a great series.
They're selling the three most beautiful 1oz golds (lion/griffin/dragon) at 59% premium here where I am. Well it's actually just one shop, and there's absolutely nowhere else to buy them even online! I'd love to own some of these coins but I'm extremely reluctant to pay up for such a hefty premium... Aaaarghhh!...
They are a beautiful set, but on your rather morbid fascination about what would have happened if the queen had passed before the end of the series (I've heard you mention it several times) I'm afraid there would have been no difference. They would of continued the series with the queen's portrait. Although these are indeed coins and have a face value, they are not legal tender so there is no need to change the portrait to the reigning Monarch. An example of this is the Sovereigns of King George V minted during the reign of his son, George VI
My 2oz silver QB are the last things I'd sell. The bi-annual 2oz are the best of RM silver issues. I'd prefer to keep the series definitive and not have QB2 for QEII. When the time comes, the Kings Beasts will be exciting to collect followed by KB2, KB3. Add in new features such as those in the '21 Britannia and it's a world beater. BYB mentioned RM Lunar. I have a set. The designs were not brilliant but the '20 rat is much better. I wouldn't mind a 2oz reboot of the lunar to cover the next 12 years as it could overlap with the Kings Beasts.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts on the subject, I agree that the king's beasts could be a good option, but we need to wait for Lizzie to pop her clogs!
@@moonrakerudon6741 It takes a while, but I have seen so many very low mintage 5-9's gold proof coins sell for bullion. I own most of them. People forget.
We’ll see. My own opinion is that these will hold a premium particularly when Lizzie falls off the perch. We will never see a monarch reign for so long again. Just my opinion of course as I don’t own them all.
They fast tracked out this Queens Beast series in order to get the series complete while Betty Battenburg was still alive, to start another series and risk Betty croaking half way through it would not be ideal so if there was to be a second series I personally can't envisage this until Chuck is on the throne and then the Kings Beasts could be issued.
Here is my question: when the Queen passes away, will Britain actually go through with a new monarch? Queen Elizabeth has done a really good job but Prince Charles has been making a fool of himself his whole life...

They should do a series of the queen's corgis lol. They should be 1/2 ounce coins too, since corgis are small.

They look beautiful all out on the table together. I don't think they could do anything with a second series other than ruin it.
Stunning sets there, fella. I missed the boat and gave up because a few I do have milked
