I'm a Canadian. Snagged two of these first run kilo coins. It is a home run to own one! Also, As I was shipping to Canada - no VAT! Same for USA ... I highly recommend people get accounts with the royal mint so they can buy the beautiful products of the Royal Mint online. Their coins and bars are wthe most beautiful in the world and these one kilo coins I believe will become Uber-collectible
My desire for beast is off the scale. That coin will rise in value for sure.

By the way thanks for using "French expressions" you still have some in your language, but in fact it is "la pièce de résistance" and not "la pièce de "la" résistance". ;) Au plaisir.

TWO QUESTIONS: What is the track record in regards to late-term "milk spotting" for the Royal Mint's silver coins? Can you imagine the crushing disappointment should such happen to this magnificent work of art?
As an aside, the Royal Canadian Mint's "profound" milk spotting problems are reportedly a thing of the past - due to its improved production methods.

That's what I like about this coin. The 500 denomination. I'm saving up to get this kilo and watching for a deal on the secondary market. You can't go wrong purchasing it. If silver drops drastically your still protected.

I just received an email offering me one from bullion by post on Tuesday and yes it is a thing of pure beauty. I've had to use my head with my cash though and get the 1oz gold version for now as I promised myself for the time being it would be gold only. I've got to say though that watching you unbox that monster is making me jealous so I'll see if I can get through the weekend without breaking my promise to myself and getting what is after all something a little bit special.
Yes I did the same, ended up going for the 1oz Gold version. I worked out that to buy physical silver in the UK atm the gold:silver ratio is 44:1 bad investment buying physical silver currently
Might want to check other dealers, Bullion by post are often the most expensive dealer out there.

A week or so ago I was looking at the Kilo coin on my dealer's site and wanted to buy it... a half hour later I went to actually make the purchase and it was no longer available... my heart sank! Then, suddenly today it was available again and thankfully I was able to buy it... delivery won't be until the end of September, but I am so excited that I was able to get it today on a great "dip" in the price.
Sometimes things happen for a reason, this time for you it was a worthwhile wait!

@@BackyardBullion I should add that it is a great thing to see a government owned entity assigning a reasonable face value to the coins they produce. In the US, they used to mint 5 ozt coins of 99.9% silver with a face value of $0.25.

Purchased 2 of the 1 Kilo queen beast completer. Ironically I purchased one then my wife purchased one not knowing I'd ordered it minutes before her. We had a breakdown in communication. I can't complain, because of my wife I get two of these instead of one!
How does VAT get added for legal tender? I understand for mints of other countries as that is not legal tender in the UK. But from the Royal Mint??

Is it known how many of these kilo coins were minted? If I end up buying a kilo coin, it would either be this or the 2021 Czech Lion. Assuming I can still even find a decently priced lion... I may end up ordering this beastly completer coin!
Is it normal for silver bullion to be marked?
I bought my first coin and it had a couple of dents and scratches and had little pin pricks over the queen's face. It was brand new 2022 and I expected it to be flawless.

@@BackyardBullion Maybe something featuring lesser known but still important symbols of out government. Did you know the US house of representatives actually as a giant parliament style mace? It's fasces made in the 1840s composed of 13 ebony rods bound in solid silver, and at the top is a solid silver globe with an eagle perched upon it. Supposed to get waved about by the Sergeant of Arms or whoever if people get to rowdy lol.
