What makes Silver attractive to me? I say Silver earrings on my girlfriend.

I am doing the Silver Proof/Reverse Proof Tudor Beast sets, waiting on the Dragons! Too bad that you returned the ones you had, they look fine.

Sometimes I stop for a few months, but still plan for more. Last year, I got sidetracked, but getting back going again. A little harder now, the Dollar is tanking. Mostly Silver right now, but some good stuff. I really like the Tudor Dragons.

I'm old enough to remember back in the sixties, those sixpences with holes being strung together to make bracelets or necklaces. I've even got an Elizabeth the First silver three pence coin from the 1500s with a hole in like that, so they've been doing it a long time.

The premiums do really kill meim terms of stacking. I bought 3 ounces of Silver and it came to £115 on bullionbypost. Especially when the spot price is £20 each.

What does grading mean?

I think the Royal Mint are producing terrible products, you will get issues with whatever you buy even at the very top end of their range. A low quality product at premium prices. I never buy from Royal Mint, or Royal Mint Proof coins, it is such a pity.

I'm in the States, just got the Memorial Sovereign, my very first sovereign. The design is incredible, the color is just different from what I am used to for Gold, but is still a super nice coin.

Hiya Ave. Love the silver half crowns. These were the first coins I started with. Love the feel of their weight! 😊 I was fortunate to pick up quite a substantial amount before the banking fiasco. So am sitting on the sidelines for now, stacking cash instead. IMO there’s no need to panic buy metals. This uptrend may not be the best time to buy. Best to wait for a downward movement or a reduction in premiums. Might not be much of that over the next few months but every little bit counts. Cheers ✌🏻😊

Silver is getting high in Canadian dollars (where I am). I'm out. I'm not chasing. Thank goodness I already have a decent stack and bought as much as I could reasonably afford when nobody paid attention to PMs. Best of luck to new stackers; it's a challenging environment to get positioned in.

Keep stacking mate. Even if you pull right back on it. I bought some pre decimal coins the other day to keep the fire burning but obviously that was not really to make money but for just my personal interest. Especially with how the world is now you will never regret it.

I went to the Royal Mint experience the other day. Quite disappointed really. Couldn’t go into the vault and see all the coins getting made. Just felt like you were going through the motions.

You'll be happy you grabbed them and buying the Coronation proof. I had an issues with my half, but the full appears ok, like you 🙂 can't be bothered mucking around with postal returns on a limited release that you won't be able to get a replacement for at this stage (what they rely on). As for boxes, the single boxes snap shut like a steel trap. Maybe boxes for sets need hinges which allow for multiple positioning of the lid.

They are very pretty coins. It's a shame they don't put more thought into the end user, the consumer that pays all their bills.
