Freddie Mercury, the man behind his golden voice! He's truly one of the greatest male singers of all time! Either Freddie sings in the studio or any live performances especially the Live Aid, his voice shook the whole world! Very stunning!
The Show Must Go On will always be his greatest triumph for the simple fact that he belted it out in just one take while deathly ill from AIDS. It was the 2nd last song he recorded. The first 2 verses of Mother Love was the final song he recorded.
Yes Freddie is the greatest of all time. Performer, artist, headliner and that voice. Nobody can or could belt out songs, feel the lyrics and command an audience the way Freddie could. There will never be anyone like him, except Jesus. We live you man ❤
A great composer - music artist with genius chords progression, beautiful harmonies and unique melodies. Freddie was much more than entertainer! He was great musician! And what a Voice... Really missing
This man is the truest version of an icon. Lots of their songs are my favorite but bohemian rhapsody will always hold a special place in my heart 💚💙💜❤️
When Gary Oldman awarded Rami Malek the Oscar for playing Freddie, It was ironic because Oldman, himself Played Sid Vicious in "Sid and Nancy" back in the late 80's. Kinda full circle.
Definitely one of the most iconic and charismatic frontmen in music history, Freddie ultimately had a presence when he performed that was so damn iconic and it's one of the reasons why Queen is seen so highly in music (and also one of my favourite bands). All hail King Freddie
To correct a point, Freddie's diagnosis in 87, is understood to have been a diagnosis of AIDs as opposed to HIV. Considering this was in a time of still comparatively poor medical assistance for AIDs, to have survived for 4 years after this point while still being creative, speaks of great strength and determination.
I love hearing him speak, reading quotas from him. The way he peppers his speech with endearing vocal ticks and terms of endearment which I lifted directly to give to one of my own fictional characters. There’s just enough of a hint of camp to his speaking voice that it’s not cringy and it’s delicate like powdered sugar but also caught, with a sanded down rough edge and the couler of silky maltant cobalt. His singing voice is resonant, bouncing around the ample space in his throat and carrying over a stadium full of people with an impossible range and a vibrato that quivers exquisitely like Mays intimation on the guitar.
Other singers: I have a cold, so I won't do a concert today, I don't want to end up hurting myself. Freddie Mercury, living on a borrowed time: Let's do this, baby.
I still cannot watch music video for “These are Days of Our Lives” because he’s suffering here but trying to stay in character and be somewhat happy... it’s really heartbreaking
