Respect for not driving the Mustang home when you did not feel 100% confident to do so........
JOHNBEA mike was happy to drive it home at least😂
JOHNBEA dude, I bought my first car with a manual transmission in 1986. I never drove stick before but had knowledge on how they work, after a short lesson that the car salesman gave me I was able to drive it home, of course I was shaking all the way.
I didn’t drive my Subaru WRX STI home when I got it, I had driven Manuel before but not for long. Although I knew how to do it I was very shaky and didn’t feel comfortable
Driving in the parking lot and on the road is a big difference
Ford racing K springs. Sets that stance perfectly. Also get the eibach front camber bolts to help align it. I installed this setup myself in my front yard with hand tools. It’s not difficult. I also got a 305-20” back tire on it with no fender rub.
Good stuff buddy! You did awesome for first time driving manual. You'll have it completely down in no time.
TopLineRacer thanks bro. Saw that vette you were looking at on Instagram. She would be sweet once she’s put back together
@@RFRacing717 Yeah it was just sitting in the Copart lot in Grantville. I was intrigued by it but unfortunately that project would be a little out of my price range right now. Someday though for sure I plan to do a Corvette rebuild.
I’ve been wanting a coyote so bad and it’s right in my price range once I get my credit up and now I envy you for buying one brother. Congrats 👍
Jeepin Daily same. I want a 14 5.0 before the end of 2019 🤘🏾
New sub, this video sealed the deal. Much respect for putting yourself out there to the public. Excited to watch you grow with the car. Good looking stang.
Hey, what happened to the first video!??🤔🤔
Well I’ll comment the same on this video then 🤣...
*Congratulations Bobby!* 🎉 and props to you for _willing to learn_ to drive stick!👍. I’m not that old (41) but I can remember when ordering a new car, getting an automatic transmission was _optional_ & you paid extra for it! 😳😳
LRL Official thanks for coming back! Video is here to stay now!
Bobby don't feel bad I've never driven a manual and I'm 23. It wasn't that I didn't/don't want to learn, just no one in my family or friends had a manual when I was learning to drive.
Hey I just bought my first stick vehicle and I’m pretty much going through the same thing but hell yeah just keep practicing and congratulations on the stang
Congrats man! Glad you finally got a pony. Don't worry about the haters, not everybody knows everything and hey, you have to learn at some point.
Their garbage
@@brandon_coleman2319 people who shit talk other cars are lame
@@antolivdiaz your lame
Good luck with the build. The coyote is a perfect car for mods and content. I own two mustang's at the moment a 65 and a 13, and they are so much fun to drive.
David Fellers can’t wait man!
A 65??? Nice man. I have a 91 and am looking to get a 98 convertible soon
Can’t wait to see you mod this thing up 😈 congrats man!!
just over from mike's vid, you did fine on the first try, & Subbed!. keep up the good work.
I love this video how you went through RUclips to show us a sort of live experience I loved it.
I learned to drive a manual transmission 5 years ago working as a valet driver. I bought my first manual this year a Mazda 3 5 speed. RUclips was a big help for tips and knowledge on Techniques. It’s like riding a bike once you learn got it and to be honest it’s to go back to automatics .
name? gotta go with crowd pleaser!!!
oh and congrats dude!
I just subscribe. I can't wait to see what you do to that mustang.
Never too late to learn it! I was fortunate to have learned it at 16.
Congrats!! Here’s the mod list 😂😂
1. Wheels: RTR 7 spoke nt555 tire
2. MGW short throw
3. Coil overs or springs
4. Corsa full exhaust with quad tips (haven’t seen corsa headers with their cat back on a S197 coyote yet)
5. 18 manifold with a PMAS intake
6. Eventually Boost whipple gen 3 or VMP
And in between you can do exterior mods. (Wrap the roof, wing, grille, diffuser, side skirts)
Best tuners imo Lund racing or palm beach dyno
Harneet Kumar boss 302 intake has better airflow
On the way!
Manual is fun your picking it up pretty quick good job awesome car man
Joseph Sparkman thanks dude. Getting the hang of it!
The mustang is like the easiest manual to learn on, tons of torque and doesn’t rev out crazy fast, along with a stock clutch with an easy but point that isn’t instant.
The 2011 mustang had the 1-4th skip shift.
If you stay in first and the RPMs go to high at a regular speed it will tell you to go to 4th gear and not let you go to second. I hated that a tune will take it off
Only time it wont tell you to skip shift if you accelerate in first fast
The biggest hurdle when learning manual is nerves and first gear. But once you know it's satisfying and fun, then you realize how much fun you've missed out on.
Then you discover rev matching and heal tow
I’m taking a big ass risk For my first manual car 😭😭 but fuk it idc
Do a Corsa Xtreme cat back with kooks cat less headers your mustang will be loud af😂 beautiful car bro congratulations!!
I love the encouragement you received.
Congrats man... love mustangs
I would like to see some learning videos of you learning it, i know you think its embarrassing but not really, your only 25, ease up, plus the fails are funny to watch and good for views!!!! FINALLY A 717 MUSTANG CHANNEL!!
The front drivers side fender is a different shade of silver! Was she wrecked?
I'm stoked about your content...looking fwd to the future of the channel bro.
Brenton McClean thanks man!
@@RFRacing717 no problem. I like your style...and you've got a true good friend, Mike, to guide you.
American torq thrust wheels, borla exhaust, roush supercharger, android auto/apple carplay head unit, rear seat delete with subwoofers
That's my dream mustang for the most part
Good luck, I’m a GM guy but have owned all brands, sounds good though. I started my son at age 10 driving a stick around our property.
Derek Stoddard teach them young! I have the Chevy 2500 at least 😂
I'm still a learner driver and I noticed an insanely important tip to avoid most shift mistakes and gear panic is putting the stick to the center. This way you "reset" its position and if you can visualize the gear position you put it there and boom done
So let's say you're slowing down exiting a highway and having to shift from 5th to 3rd. Clutch down, you press the brake. Now turn for the stick. It's in 5th so you move it to the center (it tends to head there by itself) then just move it down. My instructor is not the most patient for sure but he's really good at teaching practical and immediate techniques even some experienced drivers don't immediately think about
you were doing that in the sierra anyways, youre going be fine just dont ride that clutch if you dont need to,glaze pressure plate
Bud Tackett riding the clutch is so hard to avoid at the moment 😂
Nice, always liked that model of the mustang
Nick350Banshee me too!
Best way to learn is just get in and drive
Tim Clark drove it all week! A few hiccups. But getting there
to avoid shifting to 5th from 2nd, get stick into neutral, and just push forwards, don't push right, and you're in the 3rd
Congrats
Ethan Smith1084 👊🏻
Finally, someone else gets an s197 🤘🏾
Curious to why you bought/wanted that year? The 2013-2014 have the updated tail lights for that model
Noah Anderson I wanted any year with a 5.0. This one was just a really good price
For exhaust u need to put some Borla Attaks
Also good luck with that MT-82 !
I learned stick on a 2014 5.0 and it took about 5k miles to really feel comfortable with it
Daniel Ruiz Thanks buddy!
I can't drive stick all too well either. I mean I can drive a little bit but I usually end up stalling out or in the wrong gear.
Great job Bobby, never too late to learn.
Daniel Gilbert thanks man!
Don’t feel bad about not knowing. It’s that simple you don’t know so you just gotta learn, seems like your already there. The only thing that will help is reps
skyler lagneau to and from work all week has helped. Never noticed how many read lights are between my work and house 😂
Dude stick shift is fun as hell
Tint them windows Bobby.
Sportster Works on the way boss
Just bought my 5.0 vert today 😇✅
Manuals are ok for long distance driving or a car for the weekend but if you live in a city and its a daily its going to suck
No never in a sports car like a mustang manual is the only way to go unless u got a few grand laying around to build a bad ass transmission otherwise ur gonna be stuck with a pooch
No you are just a pussy
It good to make mistakes. you will be more prepared when something happens.
Hey bro I've first drove stick in 5.0 and my dad is mechanic too how ironic, lol
Got a bunch of extra parts I can hook it up with for cheap when you’re ready if interested. 🤷🏽♀️. Lol. Have pretty close to the same spec on my car.
ooh thanks for the offer man. Will stay in contact
I always stall at a light cus I get pressured.
Dude, years ago when I just kid I was looking for my first car, I saw a 1978 Dodge Challenger (made by Mitsubishi), I shied away from it because it had a stick shift. Settled on a 1979 Firebird with automatic.
rip
You got a clean car bobby, as I mentioned in mikes video anyone who drive a manual now had to learn but I got the privilege of learning off a neon 😂👎🤣
Mike Honcho I was driving her to work yesterday and I’m like “must be going 60” look down 94mph 😂
How many miles, how much spent? Just sold my 13 GT with 105k for $13k 😢😭
James Smith 55k gonna be sweet!
You can see it was hit. The paint is different colors
I have a 12 Mustang. One of the best mods you can do to the car is aluminum driveshaft. OEM one weighs like 60lbs and my aluminum one weighed like 25 lbs. That rotational weight reduction is very noticeable.
Steven Wiech lots of mods on the way. Love getting all these tips from so many mustang owners!
Nice stang my friend
Nice car Bobby 👌
triphand 73 thanks man!
If that was your first time driving one I wouldn't make fun at all. I remember my first time driving a manual, very frustrating hour.
M Jones it’s like when people make fun of fat people at the gym. Like should they not be there trying to better themselves?
Excuse me sir how many cars do you have on this property we noticed you have 10 car you are only allowed to have eight.
Wile E. Coyote
I had my best friend taught me how to drive stick too
Charlie Larkin 😂 mikes a good teacher
@@RFRacing717 Its ironic because it was in a mustang as well. Congrats on the stang btw. 👌
I basically taught myself to drive stick. Here’s my story, I bought new a truck years ago and test drove an automatic. But I told the sales person I wanted one with a stick. The truck was not at the dealership he had to order it but I closed up the sale and signed the papers. The following week I went to the dealership to pick up my new truck. The sales person knew I did not know how to drive stick so he got another truck and we both went to a deserted street near the dealership. There he taught me how drive a stick and I was allowed to practice a few take offs from a dead stop. Then it was time for me to drive my new truck home. Was I nervous? You bet, but I made it home. That was 34 years ago and I have since owned 4 different vehicles that had manual transmissions
Mustangs are definitely not my favourite but damn that’s a nice one
Hkemp _16 hey at least you’re open minded 🇺🇸
Dude this is me literally went to get a mustang gt and never touched a manual in my life 😆
Driving manual is fricking easy, when i was 14 i was driving manual car daily and perfectly. The first time you are gonna stall few times but then after watching a few youtube tutorials you are gonna learn it and realize how easy it is
You remind me of Tom cruise in risky business in those sunglasses. That was his best movie. We will call you Joel for now on.
Dick Large damn Tom cruise?!
The funny thing is Tom cruise stalled the Porsche in the movie too.
Did you buy it or Mike?
WON of A kind I did?
Driving stick is butter bro
Dont let mike control your cars and channel
nyrngrs15 he’s wild!
@@RFRacing717 just remember there is a reason why alot of people stopped hanging with him
saw you today in my own 2011 mustang with the same spec on 22. let’s get a little race in sometime
I saw two mustangs yesterday on 22. Were you the white one or the grey one?
RFRacing dark grey
collin shafer could have sworn the one I saw was a V6 🤔 must have missed you then bro
RFRacing yeah man it’s a 6 with cold air and axle back exhaust nothing too special but perfect for me
Next video mike got a speeding ticket in my car
Did you say your using a GoPro hero 7 at the beginning of the video? Just wondering because I have a nock off GoPro and I'm gonna do the trade up program that GoPro has going right now to get myself a 7 and I wanna make RUclips videos when I actually have enough content to make and was just curious of how much better the quality is gonna be. I know it'll be a lot better but would be nice to see an example of what the quality is like
Also an idea for a name for the mustang is the silver bullet
trials_bike2000 that would have to include coors light
Yup GoPro 7
I want that shirt!
Def Ben hit in the front can see they didn’t blend it well
That's how I learned...
Practice clutching it on a hill before ur forced into the situation I remember my first huge hill that had a stop light at the peak of the incline I was fuckin scared as shit
That shirt 😂
The first mod you should do on the Ford is to buy a Corvette bahaha
Maybe someday
In all honesty, the ranger truck is nice and all. However, it is priced out of the market. If I pay $40k+ for a ranger truck, another $10k and you will have a full sized crew cab fully loaded f150.
Boosted Media Channel yup. I think the Colorado is cool. But I’d rather have almost any full-size over it.
Rip clutch
What a bruh moment
Please for the Coyote God's sake..... When you go to get it tuned.....Go Lund
We need first mod next video.
B Att she’s gonna look great!
Money Shifts!!
Get ready for a Clutch replacement in a few months
Not true
Im a chevy guy, but thats the cleanest 5.0 ive ever seen
Call it silver bullet
Julia, call her Julia.
Will R my father thinks “silver bullet” is too cliché 😂
Stang gang
gargley marbles finally!
First
gear
And then second gear, third gear,...
Did u pay cash I hope? Don't need no car note.
I don't have many accomplishments in my life but I was pretty much FORCED to buy a man, the only Honda in my price range and it's a freaking man, and my crap auto was pretty much on its way out, and I honestly had no option. I wanted a HONDA and got it. And I'm damn well proud of myself for all I've done.
Oh, I need to learn stick to drive this car but haven't EVER tried stick shift in all my life? Roger that.
Seller is even apprehensive about having me a seemingly clueless and ditzy female to buy this car from him? He also knows I've NEVER driven stick? Roger that.
I don't have anyone to teach me this shit, so teach myself?
Roger that.
I'll scare the shit out of myself therefore I will drive it to work a few days later? Roger that.
So yeah,, back in the end of May, I bought a 2004 manual Honda Accord EX, all in cash no crap loan from my crap bank, and had my friend drive it home. At 3 AM I got into the car and practiced driving stick. I had NO ONE to teach me how to drive unless you count youtube videos I taught MYSELF. 😂
Sometimes when you are forced to do something you find out you can do anything as you're DRIVEN and all obstacles are run over. Puns intended.😂
Mod list:
Pink pearlescent paint
Fart can exhaust
Massive spoiler on the back
Circle back to go
Josh Skoczynski ta go
In the UK you aren't licenced for a manual car if you didn't pass your test in one.
Next to his rad car mod skills his standard shifting is his next best atribute plus hes a virgin at most things
What a shame a shitty driver driving an awesome car, i feel sorry for the car.
The Khan khan I’ve come some way since this video thankfully! 😂
