    You’re totally right about seating position. It is very important. The left leg should not be fully extended when pressing the clutch to the floor. Also the arm should not be full extended when putting the car in 5th (or 7th) gear. Thankfully more cars have telescopic steering columns so it is easier to find a comfortable and effective seating position.

    I’ve been thinking about getting a Manual Mustang GT however, I do not know how to drive manual lmao. I figure it’s alright, my pops knows how to. Maybe muscle memory will kick in. Cuz it’s been like maybe a decade and a half since he’s driven a manual. But he says to release the clutch slowly at least halfway. But then I see most ppl release the clutch as quick as they can. Any reason? Don’t know shite about cars, so like has the clutch mechanism changed drastically over the years?

    • @Syuurp
      @Syuurp Год назад

      They tell you to release the clutch super slow so you can learn with where the friction point/bite is on the clutch. But no matter the experience you have you’ll always want to let out the clutch relatively slow until you reach the bite. Once you’re up to a no-stall speed you’re good to let off as fast as you want

      Basically let the clutch be your buddy anywhere you go…even at a light or sign it will be your new neutral, if your car ever stalls and dies out on accident then take you feet off of everything then put your foot back on the clutch and restart…punch that clutch in so it stops stalling…you need to press the gas while holding that clutch down and then slowly release the clutch as you accelerate. So to time it perfectly just as you hear the engine start to make noise then slowly release the clutch.Then when you hear the engine moderately scream then punch the clutch all the way down and then put in second, when you put it in second casually release the clutch and boom you’re making progress and continue that same process with the rest….but never let the clutch snap up cus the car will jolt and won’t be nice to the clutch…always when you hear the engine yell means you need to switch gears to the next level…also don’t forget to switch back to first gear when you’re stopped cus the car will stall and die out if your trying to accelerate in 2 gear, 3 gear, etc
