- After hitting up a sick cars and coffee meet on then Sunday before IMX 2023, I head to XS Automotive to check out some of the wild modified rides Victor, the owner, is working on for his customers. Indonesia continues to blow me away! Some of the highlight cars included the insane FD RX7, K swapped ITB EG Civic, 34 GTR with fine spec engine and the countless EVOs!

One of the things I appreciate about your channel, Dino, are the interludes between locations. I get a meaningful sense of what that part of world is like. Especially when we see the cars you're featuring are in transit with you. I see how the builds fit in/makes sense in that environment. Keep it up!

Dino, you mentioned about the tuned Jeep and not realizing that was a thing. I'm not sure if you aware of Dune Climbing race events that are in Dubai, and probably other middle eastern countries. They get some absolutely crazy build 4x4s out there - 2000hp and 3000hp level, big money stuff. It's a big thing out there - have a look for Liwa Hill Climb for an idea of what it's all about. JEEP cars (CJ7, Wrangler, Cheeroke) used to be a big scene in Indonesia back in the 80s-90s. No wonder to see the legacy is still there.

Little correction at 2:50, it's an 8MR but has GSR headlights, taillights and wheels which is odd.
Awesome coverage. I have seen Speedhunters posts over the years about the car culture in Indonesia but I think these vlogs help capture the culture in a better way cause it feels like we are there with you. Loving the consistency of posts too!

Well, there was a legal issue with subaru here, so it kinda hard to bought any subbie than other Japan brand, but it's clear now so they back to business here.
I live nearby that garage and always wondering how on earth there's always GTR in front, and what's inside? Mind blowing.

You could easily spend an hour on each car and still only scratch the surface of what is under Victor's roof.
That Spoon powered EG Civic was something else.
Not to mention that mad, distinctive sound from the FD, next level stuff.
It must be a nightmare trying to sort out the parking and to get to a car in the middle of the pack😂
I wonder if its easy enough to buy a car from Indonesia?
They obviously love their cars, JDM cars especially.

Exporting cars out from Indonesia is not too hard, but I doubt anyone would sell you anything lol. The problem with Indonesia is that used car imports for cars over 2 years old are completely banned, so whatever JDM units available, like those we see in this video for example, are either the few units that was imported when they were new, or straight up smuggled and "legally whitened" with dubious backdoor practices. That's the length people go through to get cars here in Indonesia.
Though, here we have plenty of 3rd gen Civic on the cheap, so you might be interested in that instead.
Would have loved to hear about that z32 TT next to the 4 rotor fd. Curious what the plans are for it.

In Indonesia we have call Sprint Rally, like under 5km Special Stage, tarmac or gravel dirt, tubular are one of that class, so some monster in last part of video used to Sprint rally.
