    I am a dedicated surface angler; Im not brilliant but I get by. I am quite humble about my methods and exploits, I tend to keep it simple and I always want to learn. My favourite fishing, by a mile, is On The Top. Often, ledgering on the bottom with a 2oz upward inline will always leave me guessing "am I yards away...what IS down there....am I in with a chance or wasting my time?"
    This video has really encouraged me to get on the float this Autumn. Great information and tips. Thank you again, Graeme

    • @TAFishing

      The float is stimulating because you are moving the bait and not,as you say "guessing" whether your bait is anchored in the right place as with a leger weight.

    I've used pre frozen ground bait balls if I'm fishing for the whole day . Lob out the frozen bait in a chosen area and leave it to defrost. While thats left fish as normal targeting another area of the swim, as the frozen bait defrosts first the particles bring in the small fish followed buy the larger fish. It's a great way to feed a swim and the fish don't get disturbed and put off feeding give it a go I would love to see the results. And as you say that one's free.keep up the best fishing channel online

    Another tip for newbies to float fishing. I carry some float rubbers in different sizes in yellow red,white and black. If you are having trouble seeing your float, particularly in rippled water, slip on a float rubber to the top of the float only. It can create a 'stripe' and make it easier to see.

    Top TAF stuff as usual - and like everyone says - you make the simplest of advice so watchable enjoyable and memorable.
    Sad to see what's happened with those commercial shooting fish in a barrel places though. I fished and caught Carp in the UK all through the 80s and never encountered such abused fish with deformed mouths and bloated boilie bodies. Seems to be the norm now. I did see it starting though in some club waters around 1988/1989. I personally would have no interest in fishing a place like that nowadays.

    If i could give any advice for those interested when it comes to sweet corn it would be. Use canned corn for the hook and frozen for the feed, reason being sometimes some of the frozen stuff can float. Personally i use canned for both due to the frozen stuff being a little bland. Where as the canned stuff seems to be much more sweeter due juice it soaks in. Also i add the juice out of the can into the ground bait mix.
    These days canned sweet corn costs very little.
    Just sayin

    (For new people) 13:25 They are called distance sticks buy them instead of using bank sticks as they are smooth the line will come of easier and no chance of snagging on something. Also find one with some pre tied rope so they will always be the same distance, so the next trip all you will need to do is count the raps and you will be good.

      @7485D 4 года назад

    • @dorfrez
      @dorfrez 4 года назад

      Thank you both. Here most of the ponds are stocked with 3 fish species: channel cats, a variety of black bass and sun fish. The size and limit is set by the state and the per pound charge for the bass is usually enough to encourage release unless it is of trophy size . There are lots of wild lakes and rivers here and most stocked ponds are used for family day out fishing.

      @Wheaten Zoomies Graham is a great all round angler, but hes not a carp angler, it tends to be carp fishing at distance when fishing over a bed of bait or trying to find a small feature in weed when using the line clip is essential. Most feeder reels dont even have line clips that will withstand keep casting to the clip. Thats something that always amazes me about fishing, you can always learn something new (old dog new tricks)
