Great video once again. Lots of action on the two rods. Takes me back to my yearly visits to Ireland and some of the river fishing we did there. One year we were staying at Graignamanagh and were fishing the River Barrow a lot. I caught the roach of a lifetime, followed next fish by another. First one was 3lb2oz, second was 3lb3oz. They were huge. My mate was so jealous. Haven’t been to Ireland for many years now. But I’m determined to get back one day. Keep up the good work. Loving your fishing adventures.
We used to catch Yellow Perch on maggots in Lake Michigan all the time. Not float fishing, but with a Carolina rig near the bottom, by the edges. We do the same for Kelp bass here in Korea. Fun times.
Great entertainment, what a fantastic short session, nice Roach and Carp and we must not forget the Rudd. Unlike you I could never fish with two rods, one was always enough for me to concentrate on. We must not forget you had the extra disadvantage of trying to film this for us and get as much action as you could on camera, some feat. As always thanks for the posting and stay safe.
Filming on my own in freshwater does hugely reduce the catch rate/missed bites. Its not like sea fishing which is a bit of a doddle...no fast strikes etc .
It turned into a fun session....I could do with a bit of floatfishing action like that now, but I have no waters near to me worth fishing plus the weather is fairly grim at present.
I wish that you were my grandfather when I was 7 years old as nobody in my family knew anything about catching fish. Had to learn through experience and books. I would of learned so much faster from yourselve Love your organic videos, highly entertaining. You must show how to master the holding a roach whilst striking 2nd rod before chucking roach back technique 😆
Had my best ever roach session there. Peg number 1. Had about 2and a half hours one afternoon last January. Bailey's number 1 watered with a few crushed pellets. And maggots on the hook, they had some turmeric for added attraction. I had 9 good roach, and all were over the 1lb mark. The biggest was 1lb 10oz. My son had a set of scales. I'd never seen a roach as big as a pound before that day. I know what you mean about the carp, even the 4 - 5 pounders "don't arf hang on", as Peter Stone would say. I've hooked into nessie at Watmore too, but didn't even get close to seeing ut. At least 10 mins of hard fighting, what must have been close on a 20. She left me fishless and beaten up. Cracking location, fantastic owner. Andy's one of the nicest men I know. Only problem is, I can't get there any more. Lost the car, and can't afford another one. It's only a few miles from me too. I'm in Farnborough. That's the main reason I look at a few videos on you tube, I get to enjoy other people fishing while I can't. Keep taking care of you and yours Graeme. TTFN.
