I’ve been using the rumble 500 2 x 10 for a couple of years now and it’s a great all rounder, I use the 15 inch extension cab for bigger venues, portability is great!
I use the 100 in my home studio, sounds great.... I use the rumble 800 head with the 4x10 matching cab for live/band work. I think the 100 would be fine for small gigs, intimate settings...
I had the Rumble 500 with the 10's but it couldn't handle notes on the B string and that's with my bass run flat and the bass on the amp just past center. I was shocked. I had a rumble 350 and those 10's were monstrous with a B string! The 350 just wasn't anywhere near as clear on the notes on the G string as the 500. I ended up with a Rumble 200 which is great with my band that has a hard hitting drummer by the end of the night. For me the 200 is very warm so I have to put the upper mid at 3/4 to get the upper mid bite that I like but very I'm happy with it.
IMO Fender basses sound better with flat wound strings. I love how flats eliminate excessive treble and squeaky fret board noise, a bass always sounds warm and full with flat wounds.
I have the fender rumble 25 and love it for home use. Plenty of power to get in trouble with the neighbors that live close. I also use it with my electric guitar because it sounds better than my regular guitar amp.
Fender Congratulations! ... Excellent amplifier. With great cost and benefit. Trusted brand, quality sound for all tastes with its varied tones, light, easy to carry, small in size but big in sound result. The panel could be front because it seems that something is missing, but as follows in the Vintage line is acceptable. I recommend for those who want a versatile equipment to play in small places, at home and even in ballrooms and clubs / bar. Today the less is the greatest. Just a front microphone and have a fuller sound ( big ) directed to the mixer - PA.
Dunno about this new v3 version, but the previous version 2 sounded much better to me, more punch and better cabinet construction for better bass response. I gig with the rumble 75 for 4 years now and still holding up.
I'm still trying to decide on what amp to get, and I tried a couple rumble 40/100/500 today. Beforehand I was kind of thinking I'd go for the 100, but that one was actually my least favorite. With the eq flat, the 100 I was playing sounded very muffled compared to the 40 and 500. With the 500 being too big for my current needs, I'm leaning towards getting the 40 now.
I just watched another video with this same situation. The info and sound are great but the focus is the amps so please zoom the camera out so we can actually see the amps. They're hidden below the camera frame most of the time.
I actually would like to see a comparison between like bassman and rumble amps. Also, what ranges of use they both have. I.E., practice, small club/bar, outdoor gig and so on.
If you're a sound snob, you're always gonna wanna get the higher quality amp, especially for the low notes. And, I'm a bit of a sound snob myself, however, the cheaper amps from fender sound amazing for the price. I have the small 40w amp, due to me living in a very small apt. building. But I mean it does it's job perfectly.
Is Rumble 100 a great amp for playing in medium size indoor gigs? My fear is that the drums may overcome the bass sound loosing both definition and loudness.
I have a rumble 200 and the gigs I've done are in a big open area and a fair few people in the crowd and my amp was doing like 30% of what it's capable of doing and it was fine
Hi great review sounds really good just wondered does the 500 head have a headphone socket would really appreciate it if you can find time to reply thanks take care
You need to turn up the volume on the amp a little. I can hear you fine, but I can barely hear the bass. It is hard to compare when the volume is this low for me at least.
Any small amp is fine for in a bedroom lets say but the bigger you get the less your going to use full volume, if your going to play at gigs, nothing under 200! Go in and try them out is the only way you will really know, also by going in and trying them out yourself you will be able to really know what your going to need or if thats not the amp for you!
Zero Calibur i usually play with headphones when i practice at home. sounds much better than any amp speaker that are that small. i only use the amp a little bit if i get fed up of headphones but really, headphone bass sound is awesome
The ''cool" feature where you can take off the tweed front has been around forever my dad has has a fender preformer 1000 from circa 1980 and you can take the front off so its not a huge deal people!!
Dave Ellefson from Megadeth beleives that amps were designed so that running them flat makes their best sounds. Maybe if the bass is active its true, but how can i argue with him right.
THANK YOU FOR MIC'ING THE AMP!!!! Wanted to hear what this sounded like out the speaker... So many other demo's use just the DI...
Agreed
I have the rumble 40 and Love this thing!! I'm surprised at how much clarity and bottom end this amp has. So glad I went for it
Any thoughts on the quietness of the Rumble 40? I'm looking for something that's relatively quiet like a digital modeling amp with good volume control
I’ve been using the rumble 500 2 x 10 for a couple of years now and it’s a great all rounder, I use the 15 inch extension cab for bigger venues, portability is great!
Thank You Seth Macfarlane!

love the little hug at the end!
I got a Rumble 40W to replace my old heavy ass Rumble 60W and it's actually LOUDER lol and the tone has improved 1000%. Love that little amp.
I currently use a rumble 15 and it is almost too loud at the lowest volume
Is it enough for small rock gigs with drums and guitar?
@@viktors6123 yes
I just got the Rumble 40, and man, it's SOOOO light!
How loud can it get.
Thanks, this is the most useful review for this V3 on youtube.

So Fendre Bass amp 500 Nat good ¿
IMO Fender basses sound better with flat wound strings. I love how flats eliminate excessive treble and squeaky fret board noise, a bass always sounds warm and full with flat wounds.
David Richardson my Fav are the Tapewounds
that is your opinion
David Richardson Yes, although we Slap bass players really appreciate our round wounds.
Every bass player needs one bass with flats and one bass with rounds. You will be better off with two $300 basses than with one $1000 bass.
@@bucuricaandrei4682 Tapewound sound the deepest. Love em!

@@egierzal2184 yeah and actually sounds amazing
I was wondering if the grille came off. Thanks for showing that.

Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Borba My 30 Watt amp weighs 0.68 pounds more then my Fender Rumble V3 100 W .... go figure!!!!
We have already both Fender Rumble V3 200 W!
After your explanation!
Thank You!!
+Carlos Alberto de Oliveira Borba do you recommend for band rehersall ?

That at the drive in, i hear?
Is that... Ricky Gervais?
yes
need that high pitch laugh ; )
lol

Can I use the Rumble 25 to play with acoustic drummer
I just watched another video with this same situation. The info and sound are great but the focus is the amps so please zoom the camera out so we can actually see the amps. They're hidden below the camera frame most of the time.
does rumble 40 have open vent in front also,,, like dual vents of 100.... this is critical
I actually would like to see a comparison between like bassman and rumble amps. Also, what ranges of use they both have. I.E., practice, small club/bar, outdoor gig and so on.
Really good quick review. Thanks! PS: Love the sound of that Jazz bass too!
I've got the 500. Incredible.
for room playing what do you recommend? the tumble 100, 200 or 500?
@@mapi100 the 40 is fine for bedroom playing
4:54 he hugged it ❤️
I like the jazz bass sound so amazing , what kind of pickups on it
What is the reason for the removable front grill? Do you get a better sound playing without it?
Doesn't the rumble 25 have an overdrive switch?
yes
What‘s the song at the end ?
A very good Review , and very friendly to thanks .

Is that "aeroplane" iam hearing in the beginning?
hell yeah!! best bassline ever
Why have a bass control on bass amps anymore?
1. what does the effects loop do. 2. playing a bit sloppy and buzzy?
overdrive sounds so so so TUBE!
So the Rumble 40 & 100 have all the same features?
Can i use this amp to play guitars?
Amith Kumar they are voiced for bass. You could, if you like muddy guitar.
I'm interested in a 500 combo, would it have more power if an external cab was connected to it?
This vs the Ampeg ba210??
can the headphone output be plugging into 2.1speakers ? or is there a separate output for that?
Is Rumble 100 a great amp for playing in medium size indoor gigs? My fear is that the drums may overcome the bass sound loosing both definition and loudness.
I have a rumble 200 and the gigs I've done are in a big open area and a fair few people in the crowd and my amp was doing like 30% of what it's capable of doing and it was fine
yes
100 is enough. My drummer and I can hear each other pretty well. I play just 60% of the volume capacity. Our style is surf skate rock stuff
Do I want this one or the Rumble 75?? Having a tough time deciding... :/
is the foot switch comes together with the amp in the box? anyone? thanks in advance.........
Anyone connected this amp to use as a monitor thru the mixer ??? Would it work ???
hi, can you disconnect the speaker on the combo version and plug into the torpedo live and use for silent recording?
Hi great review sounds really good just wondered does the 500 head have a headphone socket would really appreciate it if you can find time to reply thanks take care
which footswitch can you use for the overdrive channel?
If I wanted a Fender guitar amp to match this aesthetically, what range should I look at?
Super Champ X2 would go nice with these Rumbles.
The intro was the best part lol RHCP!!!!!
Christopher Short which song was that?
Suck Dauce aeroplane!!
do all of the amps sound similar and is the 25 pretty loud
what mic did you use for picking up these sounds ? thanks, very informative
I have the 40, good amp.
Can I combine switches ?? Like bright an vintage ?
Adrian Jimenez of course!
Yes
heya, how about plugging in a guitar on this amp???
The rumble series is only bass but i guess if you did want to plug an old strat in their it would just sound muddy.
Alright, thanks for the tip man 👍

cool sound, mate!
Hey man you kinda look like Seth Mcfarlane lol. I may be purchasing one of the smaller ones, maybe the 25 for practice in my room
+Dreadie Andy You too? I'm glad I wasn't the only one.
Seth Macfarlane and Jeremy McKinnon's (ADTR) love child hahaha
I really thought of Jim Jeffries first. His accent is similar too.
Seth Mcfarlene and Nick Frost lol
People seem to love the overdrive. I have no idea how to leverage that texture outside of rock, but then again I suck ass at bass.
hi , did u play the slaping and pop theme with the fender rumble?
Great review, cheers
Would the rumble 15 make a good room amp for a beginner?

Yes.
What song does he play?
quarantined =)
More people should demo with At The Drive In riffs.
Nice Aeroplane cover, dude! hahaha...
I just made a vid showing off all the sounds on the 40W check it out!
Hi, are these amps tube or solid state?
solid state
oh, that's a bumber.
yeah it may be, But I have a 25 watt for practice sessions and my god does it deliver.
@@tessiemcdonell188 Perhaps not as much of a bummer as spending the approximately $1,000 that any fully tube bass amp rig would probably run you.
The Rumble V3 has some of the best bass overdrive built in an amp
Kool man! 🔊 😎
Damn good amp
Do you think the 25 is good for a band, I’m on a budget
The 25 would be too small for a band. Only for home practice or solo gigs.
Self mutilation amp?
Cool. Thats my name too.
The ''cool" feature where you can take off the tweed front has been around forever my dad has has a fender preformer 1000 from circa 1980 and you can take the front off so its not a huge deal people!!

Bass tasters theme!t
I CANT HEAR THE BASS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! VOLUME UP!!!!!
Jim Jeffries
I just love the way Brits say "Speaker". It's like..Speeka.
SixSentSoldiers He’s an Aussie mate
dude bro,,, ur voice louder than bass...
That bass would make a tin can and string sound good. LOL. Put a shitty 140 dollar bass on it.
Not really, there are a TON of pickups that can be considered way better than AM standard pickups.
I have a 140 bass and the rumble 40 and it sound great like this review 👍
I hate those type of people that start testing a bass by slapping.
Do NOT buy the rumble 15 i have one and its shit
PLEASE NEVER RUN A BASS FLAT. PLEASE
kilbo98 Why not?
In my opinion it sounds bad, without texture
Dave Ellefson from Megadeth beleives that amps were designed so that running them flat makes their best sounds. Maybe if the bass is active its true, but how can i argue with him right.
Almost all professional bassist run there amps flat ....
Oh dear, what happened to your poor ears love? Does loud music do that? I’m so sorry.
But Mend in Indonésie
Nat USA WHY ?
IF FROM USA Very good
Nothing wrong with Indonesia manufacturing. I have many basses from there and they’re all perfect. Much better than china.
Thanks for not showing off, and playing basic notes, so we get a good sound demo. Today want to show off their skill, and do nothing.
