Hats off to that woman who supports him during his accident. So important to keep people awake and at ease.
Yeah all the comment like the "pregnant women" one seem silly and a bit unprofessional. But as someone who was in an ambulance in big stress (wasn't life threatening but still bad) those comment really help you to stay calm, because when doctors and nurses are around you making funny comments the situation looks less serious and you can relax. And also it doesn't effect the nurses since they are really well trained and words don't make their decisions less profesional.
@@Modelo646 she was in the way of the jaws of life. They could have ripped the roof open straight away then she could reassure them. JAws of life is paramount. Defo
REASSURANCE IS A MASSIVE PART OF ANYONE WHO TENDS TO A PATIENT!!!!. Not everyone has that special gift and that includes a patient's family and any mouthy bystanders who reckon they could do a better job!!!.
God bless Andrea. So much respect to her and all the others involved. Such generous hearts!
Why don`t prayers work before.
Yes all emergency personnel should wear their underwear on the outside of their trousers they are
True heros, calm cool kind compassionate. They deal with so many emotions.
Congratulations to all emergency workers involved.
I'm in tears watching this. The amazing ambulance crew, who picked me up in December, reminds of those 2.Bloody heroes who deserve all the praise they get
Can I just say guys. Salford saved my life 5years ago I had a massive brain hemmorage. These guys are really amazing they kept me calm while I was vomiting everywhere. My head felt like it had been smashed with a hammer. I went straight into surgery. And I'm here now. Got to have brain surgery at Salford again In 2 to 3 weeks. Wish me luck guys ❤
Just wishing you a speedy recovery! Hope you can update us on how you are when you get a chance ❤
hope you are doing well
Congrats to all the emergency workers, they did a good job. ❤️ God bless them❤️
Our emergency services are simply the best especially at time’s like these 👍👍

She’s definitely good at her job. Amazing career change! She picked the perfect career. Keep up the great life saving work!!!
6:16 - Brilliant that he shared his knowledge with the rest of the ambulance crew, enhancing their knowledge.
That’s his job
@@SakuraTempura No it's not, his job is to treat the patient. Pointing out bits and showing the ambulance crew (he was HEMS) what he was looking at/for didn't need to be done, but he did it.

as someone who working in construction .. i have had over my life some nasty accidents ... and i can tell you every single person i came into contact with at the NHS was like these .. there a cedit to there proffesion .. the front liner staff are on another lvl there training is the best in the world and i for one thank them all for what they do
Amazing work. It's one of the most beautiful things watching people who are truly passionate about their jobs and really want to make a difference in the world - makes me tear up
Remenber everybody: a car has flameble stuff inside. The puddle at 2.46 could be gasoline and people are standing in it. If you are at a crash, get every fireextinguisher out and ready even if there are no flames. It could save a trapped person from burning alive.
Good point, but the car had a severe frontal impact with a lamppost so it would be coolant and/or brake fluid. There was along skid mark leading up to the point of impact on a road that has only a 30 or 40mph speed limit. The air bag didn't deploy and the driver's head impacted the windscreen so probably not wearing a seatbelt. He's very lucky to have survived.
Those people stood by watching and taking photos should be ashamed of themselves.
Well they dont want you to move the victim so not much else to do. Anyway if thats what that country calls a serious accident then, never mind.
@@trr4488 Huh?
@@trr4488 still shouldn’t be taking photos

wow. all these emergency responders are just incredible.
Love watching these programmes but wish they would at least put up a few sentences on the screen at the end to tell us what Injuries the man sustained in his crash. Well done to ALL the emergency services all coming together, Air, fire, paramedics, and police working as a team and getting the patient safely to hospital for treatment
They do at the end of the program. It's from a program called Ambulance.

Love this show, I've always wanted to visit England, love their accents
I love England I was there 2015 people was so nice I see smile on their face wherever I go especially accents.
Trust me you don't 😂😂 I find it hilarious how foreigners romanticise England based on the accent, you're going to get the shock of your life when you visit lmao (if anything that makes it funnier, watching foreigners be absolutely disappointed when its not what they thought it'd be lol)
@@rb2k196 - Not sure where you live in England but where I live it’s great. Fantastic infrastructure, most people own their own homes and are are financially secure. Just had another refresher Emergency First Responder course today and it's inspired me to watch some real life examples of how those skills can be applied. I've been lucky and have never had to respond to life threatening situations. But you never know what might happen. And even just having the basics of first aid can be life saving.

Anyone else wonders what the story was ith the one-year-old?
The airbag didn't deploy because it's more likely part of the faulty Takata airbags that used ammonium nitrate that failed under damp or hot conditions and if deployed it could have sent shrapnel into this person's head. Up to 2.9 million vehicles on the Uk roads have been fitted with faulty airbags with 900k still needing to be recalled, so please check your car to see if it needs an airbag recall.
Our emergency workers are truly heroes 💙
to those people who stood around filming on their mobiles, STOP IT! Should be illegal to film people without written consent if it goes on line. People should give victims privacy in their time of need
how have i not noticed that the narrator is christopher eccleston!
notice how the driver airbag didn't deploy... that's some very serious chest injuries.
Another day in the hero world ❤️
Wow, makes you humble 👏
I used to live in Burbage just down the road and a side road off kingsway. Can't work the location out it looks like it nr parrswood school. What a team these energency services are, the way they work hand in glove with each other. As the saying goes 'not all heroes wear capes '
Great work guys
British English is so charming. Where we would call a patient "critical" in the United States, they say "very poorly." It's like how your maiden aunt would describe her rhumatism this week.
We can't handle anything that isn't an understatement.
Ah, but that 'very' wouldn't get past us. We know there's a world of difference between 'poorly' and 'very poorly'!
I worked alongside the ambulance service for around ten years but had to leave due to personal reasons 😕
There are so many operating procedures and tech in the UK that I wish EMS here in the States had. Is one better than the other?? I don’t know. I believe there should be hands on training, observation, etc. between the countries. The world’s EMS would benefit greatly from the sharing of knowledge.
The world's everything would benefit from the sharing of knowledge. But yeah there should be some sort of joint exercise program like there is with militaries, different nations sharing their own strong points and learning to amend their weaknesses
would you have a doctor led helimed or trauma car available
@@stevenbowers4164 right now, here in the States, EMS doesn’t have either that I know of. Closest we come are the Life Flight helicopters. Or the military. But, yes, to both.
The US really needs to bring their EMS into the 21st Century. Some cities have world class paramedics, while in other parts of the US citizens only have EMTs with a few months training to crew ambulances. In countries like Australia, Ireland or the UK ambulance services are pretty standard nationwide. Here in Australia, you get two highly skilled paramedics whether you're in a small town of 2,000 people or a major city.
@@coover65 here in the UK to be a paramedic you have to have a degree as a paramedic
Good job, i working in emergency services about 30 years
It just goes to show the trauma they have to see every day. God bless and protect them. I know that I owe them my life.
People who stand there and record on their phones piss me off. It isn't a show.
Am I the only one who thinks it’s weird to walk up, stand there and just stare at someone getting emergency attention? Like, we’re you not told it’s rude to stare? And especially someone in such an intimate and vulnerable position.
If help is already there/on the way with proper help already there i make sure to hurry out of the way be and respectful and not stare, idk who raised some of these people
She is amazing
I was an EMT and combat medic. I'm going to say that you definitely show more humanity in Britain than here in the U.S. . But were pretty damn close to another civil war,so....
Well, in the U.S. if two people have different religions, political ideologies, and viewpoints it means one person is "an idiot" and the other person is "100% right and no one can change their mind". It's an intolerance to difference creating the divide and its so stupid.
Its truly amazing the amount of resources we have to helping each other when it really matters. There were well over $10 million dollars worth of equipment and dozens of highly skilled and qualified professionals giving it their absolute best to help him. We live in an amazing time.
Awwww I feel so bad for that man
Always good to see a doctor in attendance.
Not really, if you think about it. If they send a doctor, it's probably because you're already in a very bad way. If I had 999 called for me, the last thing I'd want to see is a doctor.
@@dog-jk2hn would you know? Best skills available - what you’d want.
@@JamesSmith-ro2tz Reread what I said.
@@dog-jk2hn could be part of the attendance.
Anyone know how the guy was in the end and what his injuries were?
Can ambulances have extrication equipment also?
I still find it crazy that in the UK (and even some parts of the US) that cars arent required to pull over to the side of the road when an ambulance, fire truck, or police with flashing lights are driving by.
They are. They just don’t.
They are, and people usually do, although our roads are smaller so sometimes its better to keep moving and let the emergency vehicle move around you than stop in its way
It is a legal requirement to let emergency vehicles pass, and most people do. That doesn't necessarily mean pulling over to the side though, it can just mean getting into the outside lane. Drivers are also not supposed to break other traffic laws in order to let an emergency vehicle pass.
@@monkeymox2544 good to know, thanks
Folks PLEASE don't try to get people untrapped from their car unless it's on fire. They may have injuries you can't SEE and you could make worse. Just wait for the professionals.
Health care must be free.
Literal heroes
I hope he’s okay now
a little bit too fast hu ;)
So many rubber neckers! And how's that woman taking a photo of it! Jesus Christ!
Congratulations to all the ambulance. Hope the patient is doing better. But one thing all those people keep standing around so close to the accident I don't understand that. In the US that would never happen it would be police there and tell them to go on about the business.
I think the Police had yet to get there on scene. Strange that it took them that long though given all the other crews had arrived.
4:18 Instagram and Twitter reps there waiting for the best shot regardless of the person injured.
He must have been going extremly fast in a 40km max street , with no airbags no seatbelt, your not van diesel fast furious bro 😅
I hate how people first instict is to get their phone and start recording
How Can people Think it is allright to take pictures😒😡
No body talking about my great uncle who got flattened by a semi truck on i85? He was unidentified and his wife was driving behind him the whole time, both going to Virginia.
