Thank you for the lovely comments - Rob’s my husband, and we can’t thank these heroes enough for what they did for him and our family.
Real trooper is Rob
What a legend he is. Took it like a champ. All the best to you and yours and sending love to Rob
I hope he is well and wish him good recovery. He can do this ❤️
Hope all goes well for you both
Ah, really? Sincerely hope everything's going okay, he seems like a really decent man.
I've seen people handle a scrape way more dramatic then this guy
This sort of injury can either hurt a shit ton or not at all, i had a hand injury a few years ago that cut the nerves and things, couldnt feel a thing but took a few years for the nerve to regrow and feeling to come back into the fingers
Not a good sign when your not expressing pain
Shock
@@littlepenguinowo1819 it’s adrenaline it’s completely normal
@@kingmarble3400 your not feeling adrenaline after an hour bro, his nerves are severely damaged and he's in shock
“I’m not gonna get up and run, am I?” - creasing I am 😂😂 I admire this gentleman how he handled the situation. He lost his leg, but definitely not his sense of humour.
Jokes are a coping mechanism, i also joked when my accident happened. "My football career is over" I hate football thats why i made that joke 😅
I think Rob enjoyed his ketamine quite a bit !
hes a legend
I hope the insurance payout was astronomical.
It's amazing to see his good sense of humor and how he handled the situation the whole time.
Sustaining an injury like this is not the problem, it's when it dawns on you just how much it will impact and change your life and the amount of recovery you will need, that is the difficult part. I very much doubt he was this good humoured when he realised the severity of the accident.
@@dean4051 believe me, as an amputee myself, you're spot on, it doesn't dawn on you the magnitude of what from this moment forward he'll develop an anxiety on the major limitations one's life is about to face, I hate it, every day, wish I could turn back the clock but hey, we have to deal with it the best we can.
@@jaytoppo1670 i had an accident, 500kg fell on my feet, i instantly cried but after like 30 minutes i was crying because i thought i will lose my toes, i didnt tho. had surgery and everything is healing well. cast getting removed in a month
notice how he only appears euphoric happy mood lifted when the needles in his arm, and press all the way down filled with fetty plus ket shots too and more than likely a few benzo shots iv, u can’t possibly not feel a lift off ur shoulders/extreme moodlift especially if he’s never had an opioid in his system b4 more than likely he just had fresh opioid receptors never touched lets think here hes not happy bc his legs missing🤣💀
Shock and adrenaline are some crazy things
Respect the the first responder (CFR) who applied a tourniquet and likely saved Rob from bleeding out. CFRs are volunteers trained to respond to 999 calls by the local trust. Checking in as I’m a CFR for West Mids Ambulance.
YAS call their RRV Paramedics ‘Responders’.
@@CymruEmergencyResponder I believe the programme is talking about a CFR not a RRV Paramedic
@@lockdowneunos502 I didn’t see any CFRs in the video.
@@lockdowneunos502 no car's and they wouldn't carry a cat tourniquet
@@AB-cs7vm why wouldnt they carry a cat tourniquet?
The fellas a legend. A true Yorkshireman. You've made us proud
What the fuck does coming from Yorkshire have to do with it ?
I lost my leg 3 years ago below the Knee. They had to Amputate mine at the scene of the carnage. It wasn't an accident like Rob and my Captain lost his life. Him loosing his life saved 2 of us but it took our Limbs. My Captain pushed me as the explosion took place. Thank you Sir and God bless you. His answer to my thank you would have been "no probs Lew". Well done Rob I know the rehabilitation is lengthy and painful .Good luck!!
Have the privilege off calling this man a friend absolute legend both Rob and his family 😘
Please give Rob my best wishes. Can't believe how he handled that.
@Ray Brown will do thanks bud
@@simonatkinson6769 Thanks mate. Breaks my heart to see a fellow HGV driver hurt. 👍
He is a dream for first responders ect. to work with 😍
I'm amazed at the positive outlook he had, even from the immediate moment the accident happened, it's inspirational. I have a friend, a younger gentleman as well that suffered much different incident, but with the same result. He's the happiest, most positive person I know. They're better men than I am, I'd be a blubbering emotional mess.
It depends you know I've had a horrific head bleed and I'm a strong person but i went straight into panic mode you may be much stronger than you believe
Lad knows the he’s on for a solid six figure compo claim, and a lifetime of top rate DLA/PIP benefits.
(Also he was probably just glad to be alive, and that he didn’t lose his dick).
What an amazing man he is. God bless him.
Who? GOD bless him? He could have saved him but did fuck all.
I hope Rob recovers well. I worked in a factory where a colleague suffered a similar injury. Even though that was in the mid 80's I will never forget the terror and chaos when it happened!
This must be the hardest man in Britain, how calm he was! Fair play
These helicopter ambulance are the absolute best I've been transported and saved twice God bless all that man them
Wow! How come twice? Glad you’re okay.
Humans interacting with respect and decency in these situations is so awesome.
"That was good stuff, you can give me more of that."
Mate they will give you as much ketamime as they safely can with that kind of injury lol. True legend
Rob is such a nice guy. Hope he handles everything well. Stay strong Rob
Rob, I cannot believe how calm you were. I hope that your doing well. Thank God for all the First Responders--you're all heroes.
Here from tiktok to see the rest 😂 God he's such a brave guy. Glad to see that he's getting on with things. Seems so positive..
He said I’m not going to run away 😂😂
Rob the rock!
The way he handled this awful event is incredible. What a great attitude to life.
Well done the first responder. You probably saved Robs life.
Aw man this was so strangely wholesome, he is such a wonderful guy, with an amazing outlook and positivity. I hope the best comes his way. The EMT's were also really awesome, making sure he knew what was happening and doing far more than what we even know to keep him comfortable. Real heroes, all of em.
Absolutely fantastic to see how this guy recovered and has dealt with this injury. To be up and walking within a few weeks shows his strength of character and his determination to deal with what happened
If you see this comment I just want to say not many men like you, your just so positive and you have a Bea family to be positive for
I wish you all a wonderful and happy future 😊
Thank you 😊
Man this man is amazing. As an amputee myself I know what he had yp go through. To be up and walking again so quickly is just awesome
I've seen an accident almost identical to this a couple years back. Someone in a standing lift truck wasnt looking where he was going and basically rear ended another parked lift truck, which had its forks up to hip height. Hes still in the hospital to this day and he may never walk again in his life.
Since that day, I've been doing all of my stops, I've always looked where I'm going, and passed any pedestrians slowly. We're a good team of around 20 people working with forklifts and since I started 6 years ago, I've always encountered people who got oh so close to getting into bad accidents ALMOST EVERY DAY. People say "oh but its a warehouse, I know how it works" but they dont. You have more chance getting into an accident at work than in a car. In fact: in the last 6 years, I've seen probably more than 1500 cases where people got almost into an accident at work (+ 3 serious injuries) and in a car, I've seen people almost crash into eachother (or into me) for probably 6 times (including 2 minor crashes and 1 major crash)
So PLEASE people. Wherever you're working, whatever your profession is, PLEASE be careful. Whether its on the road, or in a physical job, be careful. You've got 1 life, so dont waste it by doing dumb shit.
As a forklift mechanic I can't stress how dangerous forklifts are.
Working on them with everything being so heavy your only one mistake away from death everyday.
They're fine servants, but harsh teachers and when they do teach you a 'lesson' they take big, wet bites.
His children look just like him, little angels with those smiles.
How was he so calm during that. I know i would have been crying my eyes out 😭
He handled that like a champ. I had to laugh when he asked if they were going to cut his ear off. Best wishes to you, Rob!
Rob.......You are a chuffing star my friend 👍🏼💪🏻 And so are all those amazing NHS doctors and staff that did a job way beyond what most of us do for a living 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Respect to your CFR too, amazing job 👏🏻👏🏻 And no, we don’t know each other pal, but you’re one hell of a bloke 👍🏻👏🏻👏🏻 All the very best now 👍🏻
What an amazing man, how he kept on laughing and joking through that horrible incident I’ll never know.
That man has the best attitude towards life. I couldn't believe how calm he was through the whole ordeal. I love some of his comments. " Are you chopping my ear off as well?" Then, "I don't know what you gave us before but that was good... I could do with some more of that." At the hospital, "I'm not gonna get up and run, am I?"
Here is someone who will probably lose his leg and he was so friendly, polite, and made jokes, incredible attitude. Who ever has this man as a husband or father, you are extremely lucky. Well done!! Hope the rest of your life is fullfilling and that you don't suffer anymore with the leg. Thanks for sharing this video. Love from Alberta 🇨🇦
What an incredibly brave and beautiful man. I hope for him and his family they can have all the support they need. 💗🇦🇺
This is so sad. What an absolute top bloke he is, handled it unbelievably well. Best of luck for the future rob 👍
0:03 "And their legs have come off." "Ooooh!" 😆
The guy has good sense of humor. I think he rather lose the leg than his life.
that has got to be the calmest guy who just had his leg severed
What an absolutely amazingly man & Dad this man is! Bless him and his precious family! I wish the best future for all of them!!
rob is such an optimist. even after losing his leg, he still look at the bright side of things.
Rob I wish you and your family all the happiness &better luck for the future you handled that Amazingly I’m in Awh of you
What a lad. Quick recovery g. Would have died if he said he was allergic to legs. Funny bloke
Proper Yorkshire lad, cracking sense of humour.
CAN'T BELIEVE THIS GUY. where is his prize, he's just phenomenal.
Legend. A major life changing injury and he is calm as anything. Good luck to you Rob if you ever read this👍
He’s my husband. Thank you - I’m sure he’ll read these comments.
@@emmasmith7509 absolute best of luck to him👍
Oh man talk about tough as nails - and he has video proof to back it up, what a legend.
I hope Rob recovers well! I am ncrediably impressed at how calm and professional everyone is. Just amazing.
its really heartwarming to see someone happy and helping them when they needed.
What an amazing guy.
My Dad was run over by a herd of cattle in a field with a public right of way (which wasn’t sign posted) back in 2014, bank holiday Monday. He was wearing shorts, & where the cows hooves had trampled hun, both lower legs were an absolute mess & he spent just over 4 weeks in Addenbrookes & had more surgeries than I care to recall. He had many, many skin grafts, balloons under the skin, I know he was in surgery for many hours as they were trying to reconnect things, it was touch & go as to whether they’d be able to save his legs, but thankfully they did.
His legs don’t look pretty, he has to cover them during summer (higher risk of skin cancer), & can /does get infections in them, he’s also older now (77) & the surgeon said as he gets older he’ll struggle with mobility & you can certainly tell the last year or two he’s starting to use a walking stick & slow down a little, but he’s a trooper, as is Rob!
Robs attitude went such a long way towards his journey too I’m sure. Wishing both he & his family lots of love & blessings for his future x
I hope your Dad is recovering well x
He's certainly in good spirits, I admire how he is coping.👏👍🤝
Thes emergency staff are 1st class. Well done guys
This video was amazing- what an amazing dude! He was so chill and never lost his sense of humour ☺️ so pleased it all worked out for him
Yorkshire grit right there. Wish you all the best in your recover Rob
Paramedics are crazy. How they stay so calm and keep the patient so calm is awesome. I’d be freaking the hell out
I was praying this one was not blured, I was eating this whislt eating my lunch 😂 just training for when I start training to become a paramedic in the air ambulance
Such a strong man. Amazing how he stayed positive though out this hole thing. Xx
Rob seems like the person you would always want in your life.
"are you going to chop my ear of aswell" ... this man is crazy brave.. he just lost a leg and makes jokes. gigachad.
What a legend. "Can take these down to the park" (referring to his children), Man lost a limb and still what matters to him is gettin the kids round to the park and such. Like he stubbed a toe, joking around with paramedics and doctors, moment of composure and right back to it. Legend.
Good man , that’s what you call the best of British right there . Nice to see your getting on with it 💪💪
What a man! His sense of humour is amazing. Ive seen grown men moan more o er a paper cut than Rob has losing a leg. I wish him all the best for the future.
I work for a forklift camera company. Simple safety precautions could have prevented this! I'm so glad he is ok!
Good man, wish him nothing but the best!
Thats the face of someone in excruciating agony?!? Jesus this man is strong af!!
All the best for you, prayers and positive thoughts headed your way from the USA ❤️
TIS BUT A FLESH WOUND! Top craic….talk about Keep Calm and Carry On…well done Rob glad you‘ve made a full recovery and thriving! Thanks to the quick work of the first responders and doctors
What a brilliant bloke and dad. Very brave. And bet his kids love their 'Transformer' dad even more!😁 The emergency services are simple Ace! Thank u. 💕
If ever I suffer trauma I'm going to think about how cool this guy was about it.
They really emphasize how tricky it can be to land a chopper..like finding where to land 😂
"I could do with some more of that"
I get it buddy, stuff's pretty good indeed hahahaha
We are taught to never stand between a heavy load and a static object (wall, truck, other load...).
In the action, it's a rule very easy to forget. I've done it countless times and this accident is a reminder...
Awesome spirit! Good luck to you sir!
This bloke has a great attitude to his injury. I wish you all the very best mate. 😊 👍👍👍
Absolutely inspirational man, immense bravery outlook.❤️
I work on vascular ward and yes this poor guy is in shock and not realising yet the severity of the situation. Once dust settles he will be probably struggling as this is life changing injury.
What an incredible outlook and personality this fella has, so much respect for him and wish him all the very best.
What a wonderful person, I really admire him
The Man is a bloody warrior! Well done mate...I hope everything is okay now!
Poor geezer. Just at work doing his job and then something like that occurs. Can’t help but feel for him.
What a brave nice man. Good luck!
something that helped this man was a great attitude ! be positive even in bad situations and work through it . Well done by all even the victim.

Wow, I really admire Rob! What an amazing perspective on life and an inspiration to us all!
wow he really took that like a champ how relaxed he was talking to them
Rob is a lovely guy. Period!
What a guy Robb is! Just wow he will still live life to the fullest and won’t let something like an amputation put him down. Wish him the best. Ketamine is a damn good drug too
my dad works in construction and hes had multiple people injured on site over the years by forklifts scary things cant believe how calm rob handled it all what a legend
What a great guy Rob is, its the positivity that helps in these situations. Plus the bandage they put on is made from prawns 😮 how amazing
Guy is a warrior for sure what an outlook. Things can always be worse and attitude is everything. I wish him and his family the best .
What a brave and amazing man such a shame 😢
Very brave and patient man.
Rob you are an amazing encouragement. Facing the situation head on and deciding to take the path of hope. WOW!! Good on you mate!
Pissed about lots as a youngster in some first jobs after school with forklifts and pallet trucks etc, we used to laugh at the old guys telling us off, telling us what could happen and getting peed off with us etc, I think back now and just see how lucky I and the other prats with me back then really were, especially when I see this stuff. It can happen in a flash and you haven't even got to be a youngster messing about either
Real tough guy. Wishing you all the best Rob
Great initial care, short transport, wonderful attitude, amazing aftercare, forward looking fella, he’ll do fine! Well done to all!
Wow that guy is amazing to go through so much and keep smiling wish him all the luck in the world
God bless you. You have a beautiful family
I love his carry on attitude. Life is full of bumps and pot wholes. It's always ends up to be about how we carry on which makes the individual strong and teaches everyone surrounding them powerful character building traits that guide you through.
Well done rob..your a very courageous and brave man get well soon mate..respect to you
Why these things almost always happen to good guys? Not only does he has a great personality (being cheerful in dire situations) but he also has 4 children... I wish them well.
Calmness, responsive and humour.
Rob is the definition of a "Chad" in this situation.
God bless you man
You guys are just hero’s
