Toxic Holocaust - Nuke the Cross (Drum Cover Video) by Wade Murff

I love this band and Joel is a friend of mine. I've always liked this song, so I thought I'd cover it and add my personal style on top of it. Hope you enjoy it!
To get this recording, I used the original song and simply EQ’d the recorded drums down in the mix. I did the entire drum track in a single take, and all of the drums (except the bass drums) are miked acoustically with simple EQ, compression, gates, and reverbs added. The bass drums are triggered using Axis E-Kits and run through an Alesis D4.
The mics are a couple condensers and some SM57s.
The cameras are GoPro HERO3s recording at 720p x 60 fps. I put the video together using Final Cut Pro X.

Yamaha Stage Custom shells (two 22" x 18" kicks, 12", 14", and 16" toms)
Ludwig Black Magic snare (14" x 8")
Heads are Evans HD Dry on snare and Evans EC2s on the tops of toms with Remo Ambassadors on the bottoms
Axis Sabre A21 Longboard pedals + E-Kits
Alesis D4 for triggering

The Sabre feels more powerful. I played the A-L2 for years and I love the pedal. But, switching to the Sabre was a wise decision. The beater hits as the pedal is still in its peak power position. The feel is superior and I will never go back to the older design.
