Winter has always been a pro at this format. He's seen enough low level games to really get a feel for the leagues. Rooting for another Winter win!
I submitted the replay for game 1 (I'm Rautha), and I was pleasantly surprised when I started the video. For some additional context: I actually lost that game, the Zerg won. The factory wasn't misplaced, I opened double gas into double factory. I play mech pretty consistently in all match-ups and I've been hard-stuck in diamond 1 for years.
I respect it, you like what you like and that's neat.

17:49, they laughed at the mass overseer but look at it now. Months later it is a legitimate build to out-APM your opponent and works very well in the high leagues against Terran

I guess low GM, the very worst I thought possible was Master 1.
There was injecting during fights, there was production during fights, there was micro, good biles, the liberator was repositioned when it got attacked, there was a flank...
I am totally blown away that this was Diamond 1, I think I have never been this baffled before in a rank roulette.
There were games where I had no idea if it was gold or diamond - but this game? I was 100% confident in AT LEAST masters 1
I watched the whole video on winters channel, I started out thinking they were some where in Diamond and through out the match kept talking myself down until I arrived at gold 3
No surprise Winter did well, he probably has more experience judging low level games than anyone else.

I thought it was gold, but all these low leagues are incredibly close to each other and if you compare it to the 2nd game, scans were much faster, there seemed to be controlgroups and also they had a concept of taking out bases. Makes sense that it can be enough for barely plat.
