i am reminded of a game i went complete flow state, 100% injection uptime, creep in his base, floating 200 min in a 20 minute game playing ling bane. because i accomplished this, if anyone asks, this is my average performance. man i felt like a literal god.

My experience has been that the average player that tries to be good by watching pros is diamond. If you watch pros but are bad then you’re plat, if you watch pros and are good then you’re masters. If you don’t watch at all then you’re gold or lower.
I'm DEFINITELY not saying this after watching the video but it was very clear that the first game was going to be Gold I.

No, they don't see those anymore since season 2. Because Harstem knows quite a bit of you guys and also we have repeat offenders from previous seasons ^^ So for the guests and Harstem, both players are anonymous ^^

Is it just me, or is the score calculation actually off? It's always off by one, and the lowest score is 2. So, you go from 0 for a perfect score to 2 if the rank difference is 1. It's a bit confusing the way it is now.
That is how the points are calculated. Season One was just number of ranks off, but somewhere Harstem and team decided to make being exactly right 2 better than one off.

Its truly insane how much a single race can fit a certain stereotype to a T, almost entirely without fail.

Wow harstem was kind of a dick to upatree this whole episode. I don’t even know this guy but I know he doesn’t talk to pro gamers with that much disrespect. Is the culture of SC2 that people just treat you better or worse based on your MMR?
They put a replay of his into the shuffle, only to mock him for how bad he is. I guarantee he was feeling under attack too because he was getting defensive about his gameplay, only to be a super good sport about how he was being treated.
