With the universe being mostly nothing with vast quantities of nothing in between the nothingness with billion degree supermassive stars sprinkled in for good measure, yeah I'm grateful that I get to experience thought and existence and love even though there may be a chance that I'm a cosmic coincidence.
Two guys who used to cut my grass were saving up for college with the money they earned. They had friends who moved in next door to me. They have a teenage girl who's now cutting my grass for her educational fund. I can't cut my own grass any more, so it's a great help to me. Apparently my disability is helping put kids through college! Who would have thought this would be such a benefit to young people seeking higher education! I feel so good about it!
Those rotors weighed alot and you loaded them up. It was fun to see that big magnet up close at work. The operator is really skilled. It is good to see you get big pay for your scrap. Your prayers of thanks to GOD are so uplifting. Thank you.

It's crazy you were that close on the weight. I took what I thought was 500 pounds of battries and battery backups on my truck. It was over 1100 pounds. I showed it on my scrapping channel!
My dad scrapped till the day he died. he was a retired truck driver that drove for 40 years. he got so bored so he started scrapping. he would sit outside under his carport stripping and sorting. he done that for about 12 years.

I was told, seems like a hundred years ago, do a job you love & you'll never work a day in your life. Best advice I ever got. I scrap it gear, sell books secnd-hand bric-a-brac & bullion. Happy as a clam.

I'll never get over the scrap man my company use to call out to pick up what we demo'd. I was doing commercial HVAC work then. So the job we were on we were cutting out huge pieces of I beams and steel pipe. The scrap man was complaining about how much we had for him. Blew my mind. We even helped load it on his truck and we had an elevator and dollies.

That ac was a trane style with aluminum coils and not copper. But still worth a few bucks. Plus they have those big orange sealed unit instead of the lighter black one

My 2 grandsons that are 11 love to scrap with me and dumpster dive for scrap as well. They dig for cans mostly and grab stuff for grandma while in the dumpster. One time we dug in an Aldi for the veggies to take to the farm that rescues farm animals. That is fun because the kids get to feed and pet most of the animals. They have a wild turkey named Lincoln that likes to give hugs.

Good job on the rotors!! Local scrap yard used the claw or magnet a lot when we brought scrap from our auto body shop. We have a 22 foot flatbed trailer, all flat steel floor, and stacked hoods all around the outside as fence and pile everything else inside! We’d have 2000 lbs or more all the time. Makes things faster and safer!! Even took two cars stacked on top of each with my father in law once, from his yard!!

Nothing wrong with college, but another avenue is an Apprenticeship program with a Local Union Hall, Building Trades, doesn’t mater what craft, but most training programs are paid for through part of out Union Dues, so you get training at night and work in the daytime. No student loans to pay back when you become a Journyman. I went the an Apprenticeship with the Plumbers, Steamfitters and HVAC Technicians. I’ve worked construction, Hotels, Apartment Management and Maintenance, Highrise Office Building Maintenance and Operations as well as Pipefitting, Plumbing and a little welding. I also worked retail, truck docks and warehouse but the Apprenticeship gave me a Career not just a job.

Nothing wrong with college, but another avenue is an Apprenticeship program with a Local Union Hall, Building Trades, doesn’t mater what craft, but most training programs are paid for through part of out Union Dues, so you get training at night and work in the daytime. No student loans to pay back when you become a Journyman. I went the an Apprenticeship with the Plumbers, Steamfitters and HVAC Technicians. I’ve worked construction, Hotels, Apartment Management and Maintenance, Highrise Office Building Maintenance and Operations as well as Pipefitting, Plumbing and a little welding.
I also worked retail, truck docks and warehouse but the Apprenticeship gave me a Career not just a job.
That was awesome, unloading! Loving that gate lift!!! 👍
