Hi can i use the ordinary water color?not branded cauz i cant provide it and can i use only sketch pad?
Hello! Yes you can use ordinary watercolor and a normal sketchpad. I started with those materials and eventually earned some money to buy some good grade ones. ❤️

May I ask you: Doesn't the brushpen fray, because watercolor paper is not soft.
Can you recommend a paper for this technique on which you can use watercolor and draw with a brushpen?
In my experience, yes the watercolor paper frays the brush pen. I haven’t found a perfect way around it, but I can recommend you use hot pressed watercolor paper (not cold pressed and definitely not rough). It’s smoother so it will affect your brush pen less. I’ve also used smooth card stock, and while this isn’t the best for watercolors, it’s better for the calligraphy pen or brush.

Lady Galo Hello! You can use illustration board but the results will not be the best as when you use a watercolor paper. Good luck on your project! 😊

I use faber castel markers the outcome for the calligraphy looks bad cause it looses the natural black color and I don’t know why. I use poster paint

The paper must be really dry after applying watercolor. I also suggest using waterproof pens.
