Great video guys. However I also had to release a fourth screw under the round rubber seal on the inside of the door opening level with the bottom of the glass. The trim would not move until I loosened this.
well done - i could not figure that one out - although with 3 loose it does seem to move with a push ! - i have pinned your comment to the top to help others ... let me look into this and maybe do an update.
@@L663 I tried this repair and loosened the three screws, trim moved a little, but not enough to close the gap fully.....I saw the first post, but could not locate the 4th screw.....would appreciate and update, thanks.......
Many thanks form Range Rover Evoque Club Italy! This gap is widely present in the Evoque models and it has bugged me since forever. It is present in 2012 models up to 2018, so its inexplicable to me how LR never fixed it, despite being reported hundreds of times across its service. Again, thank you!!!!!
I could not find anyone who had written how to do this fix.. so I had to work it out myself. We sell a lot to Italy and we really appreciate you spending your money with our company ! Please take care and stay safe in these difficult times !
was getting worried it was just mine... but Julian at work had the issue on this fixed under warranty so i knew it was at least a couple of us.... lets see how many views the video gets as an indicator of how many people have this problem ! I could not see a whole bunch about this issue on the forums !
My 2012 has the same problem. Thanks, now I know how to fix. Can you guy's please do a tutorial on the folding mirrors of the Evoque? Mine won't deploy or retract...it just clicks as the tiny motor whirls.
@@L663 Thanks for asking. Is there a way to take the mirror apart to fix or replace the parts that help it articulate? Mine swings freely because it's not engaged with the mechanisms inside the mirror. Has anyone else had this come up? Thanks again
Just an update I found mine was broken inside, had to replace it.....ordered new part, installed it, and all is good.......was not hard to replace........

I found the gap yesterday. Today i find this video. Simon and Co, you are amazing! Thanks!
Did you fix it on your car ?
@@L663 Not yet, but i will do as soon as my trim removal set arrives. Do you think a drop of Loctite threadlocker is needed for those bolts?
Magic! This has been bugging me for ages
yep... brilliant - most annoying gap ever - thanks for sorting this one up - quality
No worries
Been bugging me for 2 years, until i found this video! Job done! Thanks guys. Very helpful videos.

No longer have my Evoque (loved it) but mine had that issue and I was the only thing that bugged me about it!

What do you want to know about the folding mirrors ?

Cool! I was worried about that 🤘🏻
I have this problem plus on the very last panel
I’m wondering if this is causing the noise I’m hearing ,like a whistle noise
do you have a video showing how to replace the front door trim?
Hi Larry - inside door card panel or exterior trim ?
How would you remove this part to replace?
Thank you for this, but why does this happen to the evoque?
Not sure - is it vibration or expansion and contraction in the heat ?
wow, this was timely, this issue has been bugging me since forever.....
Seems there are a few cars out there with this issue..... easy lockdown fix !
Thanks :)
Hi from Chicago
Hello there!
Tell Land Rover to kick the arse of the C pillar guy on the production line !
I think it was the designer - why have a slot - just a round hole in the correct place...
Mine has it too and it's pretty annoying. But i really want to know why they have that gap. Does anyone know?
P. s great video helped me a lot
I dont know the cause.... hot cold cycling ? gravity ?
Perfect 👍🏻
I have a problem with the Sun roof paronamic cover it stop working
Where online I can find one black that for my evoque pure 2013 ?
Yip I have the same issue on both sides of my Evoque 🤔
Just an update I found mine was broken inside, had to replace it.....ordered new part, installed it, and all is good.......was not hard to replace........
Do you replace the same way?
Any experience on removing the whole B and C trim pannels?
