60hz on a flagship is criminal in 2023, even 90hz makes a huge difference. Apple should include it in their base model iPhones.
Base phones shouldn't deserve more, pay less get less.
Its and iphone 13 from 2021 and its not a pro model, so it was not a flagship then either.

Samsung always takes longer than iPhones when starting because Android optimizes everything at startup. Most people don't often turn off their phones so the extra few seconds to optimize your Samsung phone is valuable and well worth it.

People have to stop trolling and appreciate both devices. Both companies will push each other to be better which is better for us (the consumers). I went from my 11 pro max to the s23 and I'm happy, but I will probably get the 15 pro when its released and be happy. I don't like the pill shaped cutout and the size of the camera assembly on the 14 pro, mostly the reason why I went to the s23. I also don't like how the iphone handles notifications, I really hope they change that.
Everyone has been arguing about this for more than a decade now and I think it's getting ridiculous and childish :/

The biggest thing I don’t like about the iPhone 13 is the huge notch at the top of the screen and after the update I had an issue with the battery not charging above 83% until the next update came out
60 hz in 2023 id rather wait an hour to bootup than having a 60hz screen

To be honest even the 60hz feel really smooth. I came from a iPhone 7 to an XR and it feels like a 90hz display which is weird, the 7 feels much slower which is really weird but yeah they should have at least 90 but 😖 there’s isn’t

I had a. 120 Hz Samsung and it was still lagging I now use an iPhone it never lagged on me. Samsung phone lagging on RUclips on a 120 Hz phone so its not worth it iPhone still beats it. And I never used any of the useless features in samsung, Samsung should be simple like Apple. Worst mistake I made ever getting a Samsung and I'm sticking to iphones.

For those of you who got confused by the Choppy/Smoothness Comparison because both look smooth.... is because you watch the video with 60fps (720p60)
If you lower the video quality to 480p (no 60fps) the Iphone 60hz panel shows its true color

@@akshithvenkata operations, animations feels smoother on iPhone because of processor, but you can see the difference when you scroll. Scrolling is much smoother on 90hz displays.

Has anyone noticed any lag in the S23 after a couple of months of use? I want to switch from IPhone but I have had problems with lag with Samsung phones before which is why I switched in the first place.
Never had any issues with samsung phones, they have regular updates all the time, screen is fast as lightning, has much more every day & beneficial features, samsung all day, I also recommend xiaomi and honor phones their charging speeds are insane.
So I currently have an XR and there are too many things that I love but also many features that I hate, I’m thinking on moving to either the iPhone 13 or the Galaxy S23, I’ve never used android auto and I love the CarPlay UI, which one should I choose? I would also like the galaxy just to emulate ps2, PSP and GBA games on it but I wouldn’t do it often, that’s why im still trying to decide
I have to make pretty much similar decision, but i have redmi note 8 for 2 years and it is kinda old but did the best and all it couls do, so I was always bad device player in games and low quality in photos i want to change that since i am already using android and enjoying it might buy samsung s23

Got all iOS updates, my phone works the same as day 1 and never slowed down thanks to software support. Battery still got 91% capacity and phone was used heavy at work and home.

I think Samsung has Apple beat. But I'm staying with Apple because It's pretty much all I know. I myself am 54 years old and I'm used to IOS. However. It's funny because I just ordered the I phone 13 > It will be fine for me. But I do agree 60 hz is pretty bad.

Your s23 geekbench score is low. Your phone must be hot. If my phone has cooled down I get about 1850 points on the single core. If I lay the phone on a ice cold drink bottle, I get over 2000😂😂

In my opinion, Samsung wins🎉 in everything: speed, animation, accuracy, and colors. The Dynamic AMOLED screen is much better than the iPhone’s XDR AMOLED screen. As for appearance and interface, I prefer Samsung with the wonderful One UI because the iOS system has become boring and traditional. @@sebastienfrancois7708 It's not an upgrade it's a bad decision. I wouldn't even upgrade to a 14 PM. I'll wait for the iPhone 15 series that makes more sense. My brother is still traumatized with last years S22 Ultra ( Exynos). He sold it after countless useless updates and switched to the Pixel7 Pro and found his peace. That's a nice phone.
Speed tests in 2023 are pointless cause phones are all same speed
Once thing that is really jarring and bothers me on Samsung - if you return to an app that is in memory the opening animation shows you just a solid white background. Most phones have an animation where it shows you exactly the place you left off.
I definitely agree that 60hz panels are rather difficult to work with in todays time, but I also find it fair. Pay less, expect less. Sure the phones have a bigger price tag then ever, but the whole point of a flagship smartphone is to have it all. If the baseline iPhones used many features that the pro models do, it defeats the purpose. However I do think 90hz would be more reasonable.

You can certainly live without a 120 HZ refresh rate on a small phone screen. iPhone 14 user here. PS The Galaxy S23 has double the amount of RAM compared to the iPhone 13, but it's not twice as fast.
More ram doesn't mean faster, it helps with reloading apps but doesn't make a phone much faster than a phone with less ram

If you have a phone that allows you to switch refresh rates then you would probably know that 60 Hertz is bad. I would prefer an LCD screen with high res and 120 Hz to an OLED panel with 60Hz. Just stick to the iPhone 13 pro imao instead of wasting your money on a device with old specs not so different from the iPhone 12

samsung is overloaded with features and it is more chaotic. Samsung phones are not same after one year use they become slow. Features offered by samsung are not useful other than Dex. while ios is simple and sophisticated.

Are you lying??? I have a galaxy s10 for four year and it still to this day run. YEah useless, then why apple started to implement multitasking now?? I use multitasking quite frequently which apple would never give me that. THe file management for me is far better on samsung and the notification are way more organized. Now with the new cpu, that do not happened.
To be honest iPhone 13 is still the fastest at all times by hair off the galaxy S 23 the Speedtest is not to blow minded but the difference that you can see in this operating system in the iOS and the one UI
Absolutely true. I have both and the iPhone wins in almost every test except those that test raw GPU power. However, real world tests still show better graphics from iPhone bc Apple’s optimizations are way better. I’m never switching to Galaxy 📲🔥🔥
