6:23 Not sure if you are familiar enough with the Bioshock games, but in Bioshock, the protagonist's encounter with Steinman involved him shooting that tommy gun at us while he ran around his lab liked a maniac (which he totally is)

Yeah, but this scene specifically is the one where you watch Steinman complaining about his own work "this one, to tall. This one to fat. This...to symmetrical" and where he starts shooting at you after he sees you and calling you ugly over and over again

Yes, Steinman does have a tommy gun! Rapture's just that kinda place where you always gotta have it on you. In Bioshock 1 and 2, unlike Infinite, the place has already gone to hell in a handbasket by the time you arrive.
Steinman's actually not that important a character, just the first "boss" of the game (really just a guy with a tommy gun instead of a pistol and way more health), but he's given such wonderful presentation and so memorable an encounter that he rightfully sticks with a lot of people the way Sander Cohen did.

In original bioshock game event happens in underwater city - Rapture.
Long story short - while fishing they found some slug that can produse Adam.
Substance that has the ability to rewrite genetic material. But it have a downside - it replace stable cells with unstable ones and cause gradual cosmetic changes and mental deterioration and degradation to people who use it habitually.
And it extremely addictive.
Then there started a civil war between Andrew Rayan(creator and owner of the City) And Atlas(SPOILERS)
That make everything worse
Steinman is the overseer of the Medical Pavilion.
He was normal at first.
When ADAM became available, Steinman saw it as an opportunity to revolutionize his field, making it possible for surgeons to truly "sculpt" flesh.
But adam effect get him.
Transforming him into a lunatic who imagine himself as "Picasso of Surgery"
That in attempt to find some "perfection" began to mutilate his patients bodies in horrific ways, usually resulting in death.

At 3:45 if look above him you can actually see him pointing to his previous subjects that he is calling "too fat" and "too tall". Not only that but the light glows when he points to each one, insane attention to detail
Lol surgical tech here. The Tommy gun is essential for an optimal patient outcome, it's something Hollywood get wrong all the time.
Steinman is a good first boss in Bioshock because he sets the bar on what to expect in the city while still keeping the main big bad a unique boss. He's clearly insane, claiming he had lunch with the Greek Goddess of beauty before Adam was introduced to the public, but he's also just the beginning.
Yes id also recommended warching Rapture rising, its arguably one of jts best songs imo

Doctor Steinmann is from Bioshock.
He's kinda one of the first sub-bosses in the early game. He's a perfectionist surgeon. However, he's obsessively into extreme perfection, even if it means cutting away until there's nothing left
I fully recomend "masquarade" song also from bioschock and also by jt music

If you enjoyed Bioshock Infinite, you should give the original a try. It's a bit more horror themed than infinite, but it's probably my favorite videogame story so far.

I’ve never played Fallout/Bioshock so don’t know the villains. My only complaint with the video/song each time (it’s on my playlists because I like the singing) is that she’s already pretty and doesn’t need messed with. If she’s considered ugly then my looks would definitely be worse than they are
