There is immense respect for the All Blacks from South Africans.. and these two teams battle it hard out on the field but they always come together afterwards as friends.
This world cup united a nation and Siya said it in his post match commentary...that only a South African can understand what this means to us...
We love our team..and their coaches are absolute leaders.
They all have put everything of themselves just for the love of their country.
The Rugby World Cup will be held in USA in 2031 but I'm sure you will be making a point if seeing international matches before then

So im Andre from South Africa legally New Zealand should not have been awarded that try. The ball was lost fwd by the ball carrier before it was picked up by barret and place for a try the ref misses it and so did the TMO

It's okay to like both teams. Nobody can hold it against you. They are the 2 best teams in the world at any given time, arch rivals. In S.A. we have great respect for the All Blacks.

Most South Africans have mad respect for the All Blacks and I actually like them as a team too. This was a messy game with many fouls, but that's the pressure of a foul. The two best games of this tournament were played during the quarter finals. South Africa against France, and New Zealand against Ireland.
This was one of the greatest games ever played since 1995, when SA Def NZL, 15 - 12. NZL also made history, by being the only team who had scored a try against SA in a final. But, the Cup is coming Home! Congrats to the Boks who are now undisputed champs.

Pieter-Steph Du Toit was just amazing, made a record 28 tackles in the match. Every player contributed however PSDT, Deon Fourie, Eben Etzebeth, Kwagga Smith, OX, Handre Pollard and Bongi(almost playing the entire tournament as the lone hooker) won us the World Cup
You can’t pick a few and say they won us the World Cup just makes you look silly cos literally everyone played an important part

In any team sport there's always gonna above average performers and that doesn't NEGATE the contributions of others. you'd have to be silly to think say Siya for example, gave the same type of performances as PSDT, Kwagga or Eben. Otherwise why have we been having these individual awards.
@@madee764 respectfully, you didn’t even mention Snyman who scored the only try against a dodged England, or kolbe who charged down a kick and won SA the quarters as a result, what about Arendse’s try saving tackle against the ABs or Fafs de Klerk ankle tap tackle that most certainly saved a try against France and also against Newzeland!! I hope you get the point in trying to make 😆
There are no individual stars in this South African team, that’s why they are the champions. Oh one more thing Siya Kolisi is immense, you may not always see it, also the coach Rassie and his assistants, they were just perfect.

@@desi1844 Nothing stops you from mentioning them. that's the beauty of it. Like i said "everyone contributed" but those i mentioned for ME were the ones and I'm not trying to minimize any other player's contribution. It's like World Rugby choosing Savea as Player of the Year , they not minimizing performances from Eben or other players, it just for them Savea was the most outstanding.
There's a documentary called Chasing the Sun, which is about the Springboks. You'll get to hear some of the stories about how many players had a tough upbringing and still rising beyond their struggles. It's really beautiful.
We'll check it out.

Ja that ref was suuuuper strict... but consistent. I felt sorry for Sam Kane getting red carded, especially since our boy Damien had no serious injury, but I suppose rules are rules, and it could have been much worse. Such a fantastic game to watch though! New Zealand plays with such class, and even when they ultimately lost by one point, they lost with such grace. It is always an absolute honour to play against them, and if we had been the losers, it would have been okay, because they would have lost fair and square. I don't know if anyone has noticed, but there hardly ever any fights between our two teams - because they play a fair game. I'm so glad South Africa managed to hang in there and take home the trophy, but the All Blacks played their hearts out and should be so proud of themselves. And hey, maybe they will win the next one. Loving the reviews guys 🙂 Nice to get another point of view 😎

Due to sanctions we were only able to play in the last 8 world cups..and yesterday we won it for the 4th time!!! Go Bokke!!! Super proud!!!

ABs and Springboks have a longstanding rivalry but it's all love and respect from both sides. We knew they're not a side we wanted to underestimate. Southern hemisphere teams have great sportsmanship (😂 I am saying the quiet part outloud here). Much love and respect for the All Blacks, they fought till the end. They'll come back more fierce the next time we face each other, of that we are certain.
What was worth noting from the Springboks was their love for team and country. Siya Kolisi said this almost after every game, they were playing for team and country. For our deeply unequal country, Springboks represent a glimpse of what we could be if we move towards a future that is marked by love for our fellow man and a deep commitment towards a beautiful future for all of us.
Our journey towards the final was not easy and it was not pretty or impressive either (there were teams that played better rugby but still lost) but it was a journey of love and resillience. South Africans are a resillient people. We're like a family with a bad past that fights a lot but out of that our resillience was born. We fight for what we believe in. We said "GO BOKKE!! 💚💛" and they went hey! 😂

Man, I'm stoked that we clinched our 4th World Cup victory. We came in with a rock solid game plan and it totally paid off. Our defense was on point. We owned the first half but the second half got a bit dicey. New Zealand really upped their game even with just 14 players and it looked like they might pull off an upset against us. But we held our ground and the match was super intense. It could've gone either way. Mad props to New Zealand; they're still top notch. They've got that flair and I gotta give them credit.
This had us stressed out. Both are great teams. We would have been happy either way.

@@thedemouchetsreact2.0 y'all Americans have been cheated with NFL. they shouldn't have changed the rugby union rules in 1880s. it would've been nice to see where the eagles should be today on global rugby stage. they were kicked out of RWC2023 by south west Africa / Namibia which has a population of only 2,5m people compared to usa 350m people. Namibia is the least populated country in the world. its so big and empty that its said if u stand on the soil u probably the first human to make contact with the ground u standing on.
If you guys come through to SA in December yall should come to the stadium and watch some lekka SVNS rugby…if not then would love to see you react to some SVNS rugby which is a different faster dynamic format of Rugby

It wasn't the greatest certainly not the most entertaining game, but it was a game between two champions in their own right. They cancelled each other out most of the game, it literally came down to fine margins. New Zealand as always were gonna bring that full on attacking game for most parts, so the Springboks knew defend well, take the 3 points that are there on offer and slow the game down a little bit coz the All Blacks love a fast flowing quick tempo game. Now alot of teams try and match the All Blacks game but playing like that against them the whole game through is only playing into their hands. Knowing when to slow the game down against them is key, they get frustrated you than break their momentum. Especially in the last 10minuntes of the game that's when they up the intensity, so as a opposition always when to apply "game tactics" against them.

Red card was a turning point in the game...with a red card you cant come back on the Field like with a yellow card...I feel sorry for the all blacks for how things turned out...but always happy for the win...because I'm south African....and win won our 4th world cup the most by any team so far...we won the all blacks in both world cup finals we played against them...but still Respect them for their achievements
