    I didn't realize this until I read the book, but the plants thing features largely there. So it's not as random as it might seem.

    So excited to see you continued watching it!! Since you watched season 2 as well already I'm assuming you get into the show more at some point and I'm happy to hear that since I love it SO MUCH. I was at a dr who/good omens convention yesterday and david was there too and I can confirm he is as lovely irl as everyone says he is. I will never get over having actually met him

      If I had to choose, I think I would have to say that I enjoyed season two even more than season one so, it's definitely safe to say I got into it. :)
      That's amazing that you met and that he was lovely! I didn't realize he did conventions. I just assumed he'd be too busy.

      @@BritanyBinges David tends to do conventions when he is filming on location and has weekends off. I have two pix with him and one of them he has bright red hair, as he was filming Good Omens at the time. He also did NYCC while he was on stage in Brooklyn. He will be back in Texas next week, I think. Not sure why he has chosen now to do them. Not sure if he is filming something that hasn't been announced, or if he just felt the need to make cash between projects.

    Hence the joke about his books smelling evil.

      I don't know if that gives the right image. He's an objectively evil person.
      He stole £30 million from his own charity while giving only £250k in aid to the refugees. He went to prison, where he was allowed out for work and decided lunches with friends and business trips to promote his own diary was a good use of that privilege.
      He's also a lifelong peer in the House of Lords, despite his conviction and his multiple stints in the courtroom and his stepping down from his MP role after bankrupting hundreds of people in a Ponzi scheme.
      But yeah... A little disliked 😂

    When Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman wrote anything it turned to gold. Neil Gaiman still continues to impress us. And his tv shows where he actively takes part are magnificent too. You really should watch Sandman too.

      I've actually been REALLY wanting to watch Sandman but it keeps losing in the polls over on Patreon. :(

      @@BritanyBinges you are the queen. Watch it because it’s REALLY one of the best shows no matter what, it will make you cry. And it’s a groundbreaking comic. If you look it up (without starting the episodes) it has a big audience. Because it invites in Neil Gaiman’s book fans. They come to watch it here with you and they will give you incredible insight to his work. Sandman is not any comic, it considered one of the best fantasy stories written. Period. And Dead Boy Detectives just joined the universe on Netflix. S2 is coming fast to Sandman. Neil Gaiman’s personal project that is. It’s not always how patreons work. Over the years booktubers learned too that some authors have strong fandom. Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld is one. But as we know that is not adapted properly yet, Good Omens is the only book that is available in a masterful style. Neil Gaiman’s Sandman has its own fandom they are really well educated not just in comics but several are well read even in Shakespeare and so on. His work is real literature not any DC comic. Kick it in and you will get new people here. I suggest in pair with the Dead Boy Detectives as it’s proper now and it’s a fun show. Really very cool. His hand in it too. Darker YA type thing. But!! characters from Sandman in it! So watch that first. Still it gives you now extra attention because of being new and the fans are watching it here.

      @@BritanyBingesand? You are the Queen. Please don’t take it as playing smart. But Patreon, even when you are really big (like 500k subscribers and a big patreon) booktuber, it’s only a support network. We give you the real thing. After all from where do you get your members? And that being said… Goos Omens and in particular Sandman are (as of course you know) not just TV shows but masterpieces of their own in literature. Sir Terry Pratchett’s Discworld is his real work and in case of Neil Gaiman? Sandman. They collaborated art where they became friends is Good Omens. How it was written? It’s a story itself. But… Sandman has its own fandom, way bigger than Good Omens. And now Dead Boy Detectives is out just a few weeks ago, joining to the Sandman universe so the attention is on Sandman again. You can gain Sandman fans here. My advice is: do not try to watch everything in Patreon in case of Sandman in advance but do it with interaction of the community here. It’s not a fun show, it’s a literal artwork. It can make you cry. For real. And Dead Boy Detectives has some characters from it and it’s a dark tone YA show absolutely fun for your taste based on your comments. Kick it in and go with the comments this time. And this is like One Piece. Comes with its own fandom. That’s why you lost the poll. You don’t have the book readers in.

    I don't understand why it's so hard for some people to pronounce Crowley's name. Just listen to Aziraphale saying it. "Crow" (like the bird "crow") + "lee". (Yeah, I know there's a character on some other show with that name spelled the same but pronounced differently. That is a different character. Listen to characters on THIS show saying his name. It's not difficult.)

    • @BritanyBinges
      @BritanyBinges  2 месяца назад +1

      That's not how brains work. If you say/hear something pronounced a certain way thousands of times over the course of multiple years, it takes a minute for your brain to get into a habit of pronouncing it a different way.
      Also, it's pronounced different ways in the beginning of this show, AND I made the effort to get into the habit of pronouncing it correctly, so you need to chill.

    • @BritanyBinges
      @BritanyBinges  2 месяца назад

      It's been a couple of months since I edited this episode, so I don't remember who Brian is. Who is he?

    • @TLC62
      @TLC62 2 месяца назад

      Brian is one of Adam's friends (the "Them"), the boy without glasses who was licking the ice cream and getting it all over his face in one scene. He is not the surplus baby. In the book it's mentioned that another boy, "Greasy Johnson", the leader of a rival gang of kids, was the surplus baby in the baby switch.

      Yeah, my Patrons are usually really great about it, but the comments here on RUclips get a but iffy at times. That's why I decided to go ahead and record all of seasons one and two before continuing them on here.
      I've found that being considerably further ahead on Patreon (while understandably frustrating at times for those on RUclips) has been a HUGE help in cutting down on spoilers.
      The spoilery comments are still made by people who don't realize I'm so much further ahead, but (most of the time) I've already seen the thing they're talking about so it's usually not a big deal.
