This bike gets used off road for green laning - trail riding and is very good in mud, loose climbs etc. and was only let down by its on road speed, until now!

The Suzuki VanVan modified is a 2012 fuel injected model with a lot of previous modifications as follows:
Re-worked seat, lower shorter and narrower.
    Aftermarket, braced handlebars.
    Mini indicators.
    Rear carrier/rack removed.
    Rear footrests and hangers removed.
    Pazzo levers fitted.
Tyre pressures set to 10 P.S.I for off road use.
Folding gear lever fitted from a Sinnis Apache.
Heavy duty DID 428 'O' ring chain and sprocket set fitted.
Tail tidy and flexible number plate fitted.
    DRZ bash plate fitted.
    Front fender extender fitted.
Custom stickers displaying 'JanJan' on the side panels.
If you want to carry out the ignition advance mod, make sure you know what you're doing. Don't come complaining here if you mess it up. It worked for us, and the bike is improved dramatically. It's at your own risk if you try it and we do NOT suggest that you do, we're simply showing you what we did!
    NOTES:
Stripping the bike to get at the ignition sensor involves removing a lot of components, consult a manual.
Elongating the slots in the sensor requires a degree of accuracy, there is an air gap that needs to be maintained, consult a manual.
The sensor can only be advanced a certain amount due to the heads of the mounting bolts.
The direction the sensor needs to be moved is up to you to work out. If you can't, then you should not be attempting this mod!
This particular bike runs fine, pulls better and revs cleaner. Carb models may be different, fuel injection can compensate the fuel ratio to a certain extent.
The aftermarket exhaust fitted reduces weight which also helps improve the performance of this bike. (Sounds good too)
Finally, just to be sure you get it! We carried out this mod and it transformed Jan's Suzuki RV125. That does NOT mean we endorse it or suggest you do it, we are simply showing you what we did!

i used to race in the 1970's and i knew then we needed wider lower profile tyres and wider swing arm and forks but the aim of the day was what we had but gee wizz if i wasnt over 60 years old now and willing to face the cops again i would get one of these bikes and modify it like you say my boss was a suzuki dealer and i could go through all those olden days again but as you have done ..envy envy envy ...i love it ..skeatesy

Hm, if you swap the engine with a dr350 or 250 it would be usable

I like the way the video ended with a graphic to enhance the new YouTUBE end screen feature. I may steal that concept for future videos. ;)
