A woman who is ancestrally part Gullah Geechee (a group of people originally from the Sierra Leone region in western Africa) was found to be the nearest relative to mitochondrial Eve (FYI for anyone reading the comments).
I love your work but I have to say... Y-Chromosome Adam(actually Noah) & Mitochondrial Eve don't go back 150,000 years...
the mutation rate they use is the phylogenetic rate (which is assumed because EvOlUTioN rEal, DuH!!! )
But if you use the OBSERVED pedigree rate (calculated by lining up as many direct ancestors e.g. daughter, mother, grandma, great grandma etc), Adam & Eve land at "...an age of only of 6,500 years..."
🚨These are their own words & they aren't even on our side
The paper is T. J. Parsons et al. 1997
What they've done now with recent papers is they've gotten slicker & instead of putting out an actual age (always
To add, the point about Mitochondrial Eve not being the only one around at the time is baseless & ABSOLUTELY LACKING in evidence
As far as the evidence shows, we all descended from Eve, PERIOD!!!
Them saying there were others around is pure storytelling to escape the implications of the evidence
The theory of her not being the only one around is based on Coalescent theory
This theory pegs on the assumption that humans all lived at the same place... but we know that's not true as they lived in groups/tribes
So the theory falls flat just on that point alone & that's it's most crucial leg that it stands on
All in all, that Eve wasn't the only one around is just storytelling
So which will you follow; the Stories or the best kind of evidence science can offer(GENETICS)?
