No She is the common ancestor of everyone, including males, but her mit DNA is only passed through females. For example, Your Female spouse Carries her DNA but so does your mother or your neighbor. That’s how everyone’s related to her. We all have a mother, and they all descend from “Eve”. It’s the same situation with Y-Chromosomal Adam, just with Fathers & Males.

200000 years is Mitochondrial Eve. The 5000 to 10000 estimate is for a common ancestor which doesn't just follow the female line. For example, your mother's father's mother, as so on. But that is harder to test and prove.

My conclusion is that this story matches that of the big Bang. The study was from The University of Chicago and stated the human race, based on this gene, was about a million years old. My question is what happened that everyone descended from this one person? There must have been millions of human beings in various stages of evolution on the earth at that time. Was there some kind of catastrophe that wiped them out? Eric Bedenbaugh well the video explains that there were other humans around at the time that this Eve was alive, but for dozens of different reasons their lineages and mitochondrial DNA didn’t survive for as long as hers did. That’s such a luck of the draw thing to happen though. I can’t imagine it could be totally explained with the technology we have now.

I highly doubt the sampling of data. Considering how inconsistent the r1a modelling is done by different researchers where researchers are coming with different models and inferences after collecting data from same places but how the sampling is done and how the models are prepared has always been inconsistent. Think of it like this:
mtDNA mutates and thus, one lineage (defined by a specific mtDNA-sequence) can split up into two. Now if you go back in time you'll only find lineages coming together and so the further you go back the fewer lineages (or different sequences) there are. At one point there'll have to be the mtDNA sequence out of which all other sequences emerged. That organism is per definition "mitochondrial eve". Whether scientists are capable of actually pinning down which individual it was or when exactly "Eve" lived, is a completely different question.
