First round always starts with the largest double domino possessed by any player. So it would go 6/6, 5/5, 4/4, 3/3, 2/2, 1/1, and 0/0. If no one has any of those dominoes you can go with 6/5, 6/4, so so forth or you can decide to just reshake up to you and who you're playing with.
This is the area I am struggling with. Point scoring with spinner, so you use it on the first two hands (either side of the spinner) but then after that you can only count the ends?
Can you branch off the ends of the spinner before both sides are branched off of ? And what game is this ? It seems like Muggins and Sniff and all Fives are basically the same depending on which book you read . Some folks say you can lead with any domino you want for all 3 of the games . I wish I could one clear cut set of rules .
Hey thanks for the questions: Can you branch off the ends of the spinner before both sides are branched off of? - Nope the spinner has to have crossed and played on two sides before being played on. And what game is this ? - This is just referred to as dominoes all fives. We start by drawing 7 or 9 dominoes and counting by 5's to 150. First hand begins with double six, all hands after that are determined by whomever has control of the domino, unless the game has been locked then it starts back with double six, or the next highest double. 😀
Thank you so much for your videos! I have a lot of questions that don’t get answered by the instruction pamphlet or by Google😅 but you do! ❤ Can I ask if in the second game there is still a spinner and can you still play on the honey bone? What if the first domino is not a double?
@meowriel_ thanks so much for supporting the channel! OK now to answer your questions... #1. in the second game there is still a spinner? Yep there is a spinner in every game. The spinner is the first double domino that gets played in any hand. This will be the only domino that can be played on off the sides. #2. If the first domino played is not a double that's completely fine. Common first dominoes that get played that aren't doubles are the 6-4, and 3-2. Hopefully this answers your questions! :-)
At 2:34 it looks like you're playing off the side of the double 2 like it's a spinner, but it's not a spinner, right? Oh, wait, are you just bending the straight line there and I'm getting confused? Thanks.
you seem to slam every domino down. I thought you only do that to announce a score? Do you have a video about the etiquette or customs of slamming dominoes down?
Perfect hand for all the questions i had. Thank you
I love that for you! Let me know if there is anything else you need.
Wow what a great ‘splainer you are… organized, direct, concise, to the point, understandable. How refreshing. A++… New sub 😊
Thanks and welcome
1:20 Do you have to play off the double to make the spinner? Or cpuld i play off the 3
You can play off the 3 or the six either side you want to. Just remember since the 6/6 was the first double domino played is it the spinner.
@@playingbones thank you mate. Got really Into this game recently
So the first round always has to be double six? If nobody has it do you draw til somebody does?

You coaching me right now.. I hVe zero experience but Ima learn off your vids 🙏🏾
That's awesome! Is there anything specific I should make a video about?
Loving the videos! Im confused about you saying “count 5 / 10” in your videos… can you explain this?
Sorry for some reason I'm just seeing this comment but when I say 5/10 count it means you just score points.

Yep just bending it to fit in the frame
@@playingbones Thanks for the reply, and for the great videos! :D
So can you play any more bones off of the double two?
@@burgeralex8147 nope double six is the spinner in this situation. We can only play off of the first double that is played
@@playingbones thanks man!

I don’t yet but I’ll drop on soon.
Spinner is not used in classic game.
I'm not very familiar with the classic game, we mostly play fives.
