This was voiced by Aaron Dismuke when he was very little. Usually little guys in anime are voiced by older females, but FUNIMATION dub team went with a little guy instead.
Aaron Dismuke was a perfect choice Him and Vic Mignogna had perfect chemistry for the elric brothers. They had the emotion and characteristics just right.
I remember seeing this show when I was little, after finally understanding some of the plotline, I was always sad while viewing because I think I understood he was dead? or something or/and he is stuck in a robot body. I always hoped each episode that I'd get to see the face/body of his brother :(
Watching that last scene, really made me wish that Al find Ed and they both return back to Amestris. Then CoS came out and they decide to stay in our world. Can’t make a sequel, because neither can use alchemy on Earth.
And they reunited but straight up leaving Winry behind. Ughhh that's why I can't bring myself to watch this version 😭😭😭 but Alphonse is indeed a babey, in whichever version🥺🥺 lemme just hug this child ughh💕💞💖💕💛
I quite liked it. Alchemy has been shown to cause many in Amestris a lot of pain, be it from their own usage in taboos or it being used upon them, such as the people of Ishbal or the chimeras. The ending allowed them to break the cycle. They went to a place where nobody could every use alchemy to hurt them, and they couldn’t use alchemy to hurt others or themselves.
@@sodadile Exept it's not just alchemy that causes pain! It's the overall injustice of the world. There's still sufering and pain our world too (Again, they will face ww2). Not to mention their plans to erase the atomic bomb... Well, we all know this is going to be a BIG failure. I do like the ending too thought. With the overall dark ton of the show, it makes sence it would have a more pessimic ending. Also, throught out the serie, Ed has refused to question his belif and to accept something simple: The world isn't fair. So him to being stuck in an other world is like a form of punishment for him. In the end of the movie, he finaly accepts it and he's rewarded by being reunited with Al.
Imo FMA 03 takes the win for that scene. The only reason brotherhood doesn’t for me is because they randomly made Alphonse hitting Edward (for giving up and nearly dying in front of Al) a goofy, split-second, comedic moment when everything else in the moment was stoic and serious/heartfelt…so it kind of took away from what that moment was ultimately supposed to portray. That random change in tone just felt a little too unnecessary and jarring in that moment.
@@tomikexboii5403 they're not talking about brotherhood, they're talking about the 2003 series, edward is in our world during the time of WW2 but al manages to get edward back but edward leaves again to the same world but al came along with him. So let's just say al went to ed.

I appreciate that original dub Al sounds innocent and kiddy just like this

Yea but Aaron hit puberty and then he couldn’t do Al’s voice anymore but in Brotherhood he does the voice for young Hoheinhiem
@@DemonicVeteranOfficial I normally do prefer females voicing boy characters, but I can have my exceptions

I don’t really like the story in the original 2003 show but I really enjoy these little moments. They make the show for me
Al sure got some taste of adventure smart move 😬
