Excellent!! It really looks great. Thanks for so much detail! I have an extra top plate for my X-Pro2 that I'm going to have repainted in Safari Green Cerakote. It was great to see how the X-Pro1 top plate looks disassembled. Great idea using photos of the camera to organise the screws during disassembly.
It turned out very cool! It seems that now I have to do the same with my camera. I think about the sandy beige with red and white details .Thank you very much for the information and motivation
@@SergioMusel Thanks! I still haven't get the camera (searching ebay for one) But I still don't know whether to get the xpro with a manual lens or the x100. Also, I'm binging your videos. Loving the topics and the pics to make
So now the channel name is P*rnApertureValue 😂 Prepare yourself to spill juice allover the place when watching! I remembered the name of those old industrial lamps that the paint reminds me of, Anglepoise. Machinery for decades had the same paint job. I like it.
@@SergioMusel I'm guessing there are treatments like electrical ones to keep it from oxidizing. By the way how much is the paint job without the promotion you had, I mean if you give them the whole camera without disassembling it?
I have not tried doing a top plate but... i paint cars so i have painted a few lens hoods to match. Using very expensive Axalta paint. Sanded , sealed , basecoat and then clear coat with the right amount of flattening agent to give the same finish the camera has. Comes out awesome. You have some good info in this video
May I ask, what type/size are the screws used for the wooden handgrip? I'm planning to make one for my XPro1 too, but I've lost the original screws a long time ago and I couldn't find any information regarding the correct screw type used.
I’m thinking to get an xpro1 as my first digital camera due to its “filmic sensor” and overall experience of the camera + low price ( kind off ) for the body . But I’m thinking If digital cameras do “die” after certain amount of usage , What’s your thoughts / experience about that ? Thanks in advance
Oh, it's a great camera to try! People say earlier X-TRANS is better, but you have to set up your own JPEGs, in RAW I wouldn't say the difference is noticeable... But X-Pro1 is an awesome looking camera for the money and experience is that of a slow film camera, so you should definitely enjoy it!
Well firstly, I do love the hybrid EVF/OVF😉 Technically speaking, you cannot just put an analog rangefinder instead, it won't work without rangefinder coupling, that means that both lenses and the body have to be adapted, there's just simply no place for that internally🤔
Awesome Project!
Thanks, I sleep with it under my pillow now, ahaha😂
@@SergioMusel As you should ;P

@@brettpatching sounds great! I wanted to find someone who could help me with the Cerakote but had no luck
Oh man, this reminds me of those old beautiful industrial lights that are now way expensive!
Amazing project ! It looks perfect !

Yeah, I loved it a lot too😎
Wow. Amazing!!! Looks awesome
Thanks!😁A lot of soul and heart put in it😏
Very beautiful! :)
Thanks😌 I put a loooot of effort in it🥹
I was thinking about something like this for a while and I just found you. This is awesome!! I want to transform a x100 to be like the Leica M-D
Quite possible, hope you'll complete it🙏

Amazing job dude. Doing this to my x-pro 2 asap. Gonna use some military green pain
Safari version will be also cool🤙
Tell your wife it's the most sexy x-pro I've ever seen. XD

Also, hammertone is great to hide surface imperfections, which, after so many redos, my plate has plenty🥲
@@SergioMusel agreed, I imagine keeping the surface perfect is hard. That mirror finish was awesome.
@@REMY.C. I tried my best to find someone who can do a mirror finish but using paint, unfortunately I had no luck at all🥲
@@SergioMusel I'm guessing there are treatments like electrical ones to keep it from oxidizing.

@@REMY.C. Depends on specifics and the camera model, but around $600-700 for the analogue Leicas, more than $1000 starting from M8 and upwards😓

Hey aperture value can I know what thing did you do to cover the engravings of the number 1 of the xpro logo?
Hey there, body putty or body filler will do👍
@@SergioMusel thank you! And does it last long? Was wondering if it has show any chipping or anything on the covered engraving.
@@hakimotaku3613 So far so good, but my last one was done by a specialist, not by myself, therefore I have more confidence it'll last long, ahah
@@SergioMusel ok thank you for your conformation.
I'm sure I can take it apart, not so sure about putting back together though :-)
Looks great!!
You gotta believe in yourself😅 Thanks🙏🏼
Would the shutter speed / iso dial from a x100v be compatible with the x-pro?
@@michaeltbarrientos it might not be a perfect fit but it’s possible (if you choose the models with compatible ISO values)
haha - that's pretty dope. :)
👍
Do you have pictures of the oxidation?
Not really. Why?
@@SergioMusel just curious!
Where can I download the XPan 3d print MarkII? Thanks
You can find the link in the description of this episode, X-PROJECT UPDATE ruclips.net/video/gCAhHYTvpaA/видео.html
I have been searching for that handgrip, but couldn’t find a thing. Could you send me a link or something?
I made it myself using D-Lux7 third part grip
Is there a video step by step on dismantling?
No
Where to get one?
Nowhere😈 It’s one of a kind🙌🏼
