Dang I missed the stream. The stream for chapter 4 was my actual first time interacting with a stream, and my first time with Vtubers in general. Great job on the stream and the game truly hits the mark on its writing and filipino representation. In a lot of ways, a lot of young teenage boys, were like Mark Borja once. Medyo incel-ish, slacker, unmotivated. Then eventually maturing. Guys all wished they'd be like Mike (yung bf ni Louise) but I bet even Mike had to start somewhere as well kahit meron man siyang gwapo privelege or not. Then I got a chuckle from the girl-boy love talk. My two cents on this personally as a guy, I feel like guys should just let go of the mindset of romanticizing the people their interested in, "Oh this girl is nice to me, I'll be her bf na". Guys have to be comfortable with rejection. It's why we call loving as risks. To love is to be vulnerable and to be hurt at the same time, it can be immensely gratifying and painful but these 2 aspects of sacrifice is what makes love worth pursuing. Especially, as young people (waw parang ang tanda ko) are still coming to grips with how to communicate their feelings. Miscommunication is bound to happen. Mistakes will happen when they're starting out with relationships. Learning to move on gracefully with rejection and loss. Leaning not to be harsh with yourself. Having hope that you will meet someone. Some girls will vibe with your attempts, some won't. Sometimes you'll notice the signs a girl likes you quickly, sometimes the signs will fly over your face. People will appreciate your attempts, some won't. Some like grand gestures, some prefer simplicity. Sometimes the flirting will stick its landing or land flat on its face. It'll hurt and be cringey, sometimes it won't and kikiligin siya sayo and magiging comfortable sayo. Sometimes you'll feel like life is unfair at some point of our lives because you keep getting rejected or you're not enough or unsuccessful ka sa pagibig. Sometimes successful ka nga. Case and point is how different Raika and Kairi are in their ways of expressing their interest in a guy. It's up to a guy if he can pick up on that. Usually, only multiple experiences can teach you the nuances of these signs and how you would react without being awkward. It's just important that you be sincere yourself and accept some people won't like you romantically, and some? Well, maybe you'll hit it off like Mark and Nicole in the game. Life is not a romcom, where your relationship will just be perfect once nagkasagutan na kayo na "kayo na" officially or you'll know all the "kilig" lines, approaches, and witty humor on how to make someone happy and fall in with you agad. That's all part of life. You'll have good experiences and bad regrets, that would eventually push you to be better for the next person. Just move on, sometimes there's closure and sometimes you're just left hanging but don't let it stop you from loving. Until you meet your match. Idk if I'm still making sense but that's how I thought about it. I also, absolutely loved chapter 3 and how Mark "confessed" on the rooftop. It's just so candid without even saying "gusto kita" directly. Mark highlighted characteristics beyond just attraction but actually falling in love with her as a person. Well that's how I viewed it. Even Romcom films or some animes are not as heartfelt and honest as that confession. Some people might interpret it differently. Feel free din to comment. If you made it this far, you're a G.
Waaa~ we're so glad for you to join us on our streams! We enjoyed reading your comments on love 🫶 Being able to discuss topics and themes in the games we play with our community is definitely the high points for us as streamers. Love is such a personal topic, and its interesting to hear the perspectives like yours (and we hope you enjoyed hearing ours as well!). This game is so heartwarming showing such a pure "falling in love experience" like youve described, and its so immersive that we cant help but have strong reactions to it haha. We hope youre looking forward to our 2nd playthrough of this next week to try and see if we can get a different ending!
@@ecotonechThanks too! For taking your time to read the lengthy comment! A game (or any work of art) with THIS much quality deserves to be discussed and it really brought out a strong reaction in me too that I just had to put it into words. It's quality is amazing on top of just depicting our culture as Filipinos so well. Definitely will try to check out more of your content both. I also enjoyed the different perspectives as well! Its cathartic just experiencing what the game had in store for us. I spoke to a former HS classmate and even he related with Mark's mannerisms and struggles. The Pinoy Teenage Boy experience was spot on. 😂 For the guys, all I wanted to say was, just shoot your shot and accept rejection with grace while knowing your worth. It's the best way to learn. It'll hurt sometimes but I promise it'll be all worth it and you'll get the hang of gauging and feeling for someone's interest in you~!
