      @YRTi thanks so much for the response. A lot of RUclipsrs DON'T.
      Your work is great which I really enjoy. You attention to detail is great as well as your explanations. I've been a subscriber since day 1 when you first started & have watched you grow. You're doing s fantastic job. Don't worry about negative comments or negative people. No matter what, they'll always be there..focus on you & your great content!! I'm located on the coast of California. Mid-Central Coast, Monterey Bay. I'm pretty close to you in LA if I remember correctly. Once day when I'm down your way, I'll have to stop and buy you a coffee &or lunch or a drink if you'd prefer moreso. Lol.
      Enjoy your weekend! Stay dry. We're supposed to get some really serious weather up here beginning later today through mid week.
      Keep on making may friend! Keep up with the great content! Keep on being you and keep on keeping on! 👊 🤜 🤛

    Seeing all that went in to that Kumiko, that's crazy. I'd probably have such a hard time keeping things straight when working on them

      @YRTi  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the comment. I'm not sure if the pieces I cut were straight but they fit somehow, haha.

    Your videos are done very well. I enjoy how you describe what and why you do things. Now that I watched this video, I'd like to try this, but it looks much harder than I thought. You are becoming a very accomplished craftsman.

    • @YRTi
      @YRTi  8 месяцев назад +1

      Thank you! This Kumiko has pretty tight tolerance but the cutting pattern isn't that complicated(all pieces have the same cutting pattern). The thing was, even after cutting them correctly, it was still confusing about which pieces go in what direction (really!!!).

    Hi YRTI, I was very sorry to hear about Tiger. Thank you for sharing this, I learn a lot from each video you post. You’re working at a very high level now, it reminds me a lot of Mr. Takashi Shimizu in Japan who specializes in sashimono. I don’t speak Japanese but I follow his RUclips channel anyway, it’s very informative. Thank you again for sharing this, it’s beautiful work and very inspiring.

    I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved pet. That is a really hard thing to go through. Before my wife and I had kids, we had an English Springer Spaniel, named Nick. It was short for Nicodemus the Knight, because in the Bible Nicodemus came to see Jesus at night. He was her family pet for about 8 years while she was growing up. After we got married, we had him for about 8 more years, until he passed. I built just a simple pine box that we used to bury him in at my in law's farm. The process of building it was difficult, but it helped me work through my grief a bit. Nick was a really special dog. It's been 20 years, and I still miss him all the time. Your box is very beautiful. It's a fitting tribute to your cat.

      Thank you for sharing your story. It’s a sad part of life. I don’t think I can have a pet again but my kitty taught me a lot and we all learn from life.

      @@YRTi , we didn't get another dog for a long time, but that was because we were raising 4 kids and we didn't have the energy for a dog, too. 3 of our kids are grown and married, now. Our 14 year talked us into a puppy two years ago. We got a yellow lab and named her Sadie. At first she made my wife and I miss Nick more, but she's a really good dog. She's just so sweet that we've all gotten really attached to her. My daughter has taught her a lot of tricks. I've never seen a dog that would mind so well.

    Very unique design and lots of joinery which I enjoy myself. Very curious, who makes the chisels you were using and would you buy them again? Domo

      @YRTi  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you! You can check the list of the tools I use including the chisels with my brief opinion from the link in the description. Basically, I have no specific preference of the tools as long as they work and are reasonably priced (I'm the wrong guy to ask about tools).

    Kumiko looks completely different in dark wood, beautiful though. The project overall, including the outer box it's stored in turned out super nice. Thanks for the video.

      Thank you! Yes, I wanted to go the extra mile for my kitty and I liked the design, too. This project was very challenging that now I want to make similar stuff again to improve the detail quality but oh well, it's over.

    You have some seriously sharp chisels and good handling, have you tried carving?

    • @YRTi
      @YRTi  8 месяцев назад

      Thank you for the comment! No, I've never tried it but I'm interested in it. Well, I actually ordered a PowerGrip 7 piece set when it was on sale for $39 few weeks ago!! It's on backorder so I have no idea when I can have it, haha.
