If you want to make an object fly out towards something, you can have a force event exerted on the object. If you want to dismantle the body parts of a character, you can have a sever event take place. You can see the icons for these events in the main tool bar.
I know that there is an FBX for a jump and dive action, but I'm not sure about a fbx file for just a jump. However, you can just create a Behavior Event, and select Jump 1 - that's what I did.
Thanks - I had a very small force effect applied to the board every second. Since there was several force effects applied right after each other, it made him slowly levitate.
GTA4 is going to be a great game, especially with the use of Euphoria. If you watch the fourth trailer, there is an excellent example of the physics engine in action as Niko shoots a person as he rolls down some stairs. I can't wait until GTA4 is released!
No problem. Just click at the very top "view" - then click the "events" button so that it will be unchecked. By doing that, the force event arrows don't appear during the video.
I made the one that I used in the video. I just put together a bunch of objects using a Constraint Event, selecting the parts of the car, and making the type of Constraint Event - "JoinBodies".
To have a character take action, click the picture of the mask at the top right (should say "Create Behaviour Event" when you move the mouse over it) Experiment around with the properties of the behaviour event to see what the result is.
For the scene in which the character is lying on the ground with a gun, I had a force event take place for which a small sphere in front of the gun propelled towards the person. In order for it to cause the person to fall, I increased the mass of the marble-sized sphere to a very large amount. However, most people would just have a force event take effect on the characters or objects themselves, similar to what I did with the cannon in the first scene (force events on the cubes).
You don't have to download anything - All you need to do is select your character and click the button at the top that looks like a mask. From there, you can select different behaviors in the property editor for your character to perform.
Unfortunately, I do not know why it does that. I've encountered that problem at times as well, but I do not have a definite answer to resolve that issue. I tried installing Endorphin on our other computer in order to get around that problem and it seemed to work fine. -sorry
First, make sure you have the timeline editor and the property editor up. (if you don't, click the view button at the very top and check them) Second, select your character from the timeline Editor, and then click the picture of the mask near the top right corner of the screen. In the Property editor, click "name" and then simply select which action you want the character to perform. Play around a bit and mess around with the variables to see how it affects the actions of your character.
Yes, I used "Hold 1" behavior event as soon as the person's hand touched another object. It is helpful if you skip through the frames to get that action to take place at the right time.
I think there are two behaviour event options: "hold 1" and "hold 2." You should be able to select the character and the object you want to hold on to. Hope that helps :)
For the scene where they are getting blown away, I changed the gravity, so that it makes the objects and the people fly to their side, rather than downward. Normally I use a force event for shooting, but for scene at the beginning (with the 2 guys and the kid), I made a small sphere like a bullet that flew from the gun the the person's chest. (But it is better to use a force event)
The happens to me a lot on our other computer. For some reason, certain computers can't perform certain actions and instead will result in an illegal action message. I don't know why it occurs, but I think it depends on what type of PC you are running Endorphin on.
I'm not too sure, but I think you'll have to select the character whom you want to perform the action first and then you can choose to create a behavior event for him. If you don't have any character selected, it might just creates another character for you.
Just keep trying - After logging in, I belive there is a "profile page" button or something on the site. I don't really remember the layout of the website, but I do reacall that you need to be logged in to retrieve the product code.
What do you mean by they are "falling throw". Is the characters falling through the ground? - I have encountered the same problem several times in the past. If so, I believe you can just stretch a large object across the ground like what I did in the video at 1:18.
I'm not quite sure. That message has appeared to me before, but it was for other reasons. Some of my friends have encountered the same problem. What Windows is your computer?
James, How did you make the gun shoot some sort of invisible force at the mass objects? I know a few things about endorphin, but not complicated aspects..
so te bodies falling apart into pieces i hope they do this in gta4 so that you can finally blow somones leg or arms off with high caliber weaponry like if your using a friggin rocket launcher there should be super gore i know you can decapitate already in the present games but i hope they dont go super real to the point where the gore is lame oh well-gta4 will be great withy or without the violence-wait-what?
Thank you- I'll make sure to check out your video!
Yeah, you can do that too. I think I might have done that in the video.
sorry.. I don't really do any more of this endorphin stuff

Endorphin Learning Edition is free. (The program I used for this video)
ahh thank you soo much i downloaded endorphin and i had trouble seeing where i was puting diff things
thanks

You can change the X, Y, and Z gravity so that people and objects can fly upwards, sideways, diagonal etc.
GTA4 is going to be a great game, especially with the use of Euphoria. If you watch the fourth trailer, there is an excellent example of the physics engine in action as Niko shoots a person as he rolls down some stairs. I can't wait until GTA4 is released!
You can use a constraint event to make an item hold still.
Yeah, I saw the song sitting there and I didn't have anything else, so I used it for the video. :D
Great stuff ! I love the dominoes :) You can see a quiet bit of Endorphin in our video, Somnambulist.
Its a program that uses Dynamic Motion Synthesis (DNS) to simulate basic human reactions in relation to objects, other characters, etc.
Yeah basically it's just a sever event applied to every single joint.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Well, you can stack up blocks, and have then disperse when a force exerts on an object or something - like I did at the first scene in the video.
No problem. Just click at the very top "view" - then click the "events" button so that it will be unchecked. By doing that, the force event arrows don't appear during the video.

If you want to move the camera angle, hold down the middle mouse button while moving the mouse.
i like the music in this video.
these werent SWEET scenes but i liked them. Gj.
It's finally up! By the way, this is the 2.7 Learning Edition of Endorphin.
I put a behaviour event right when his hand collided with another object.
To have a character take action, click the picture of the mask at the top right (should say "Create Behaviour Event" when you move the mouse over it) Experiment around with the properties of the behaviour event to see what the result is.
It might work if you exert a force on the legs and the chest/head area in opposite directions right after he jumps so that the person flips backwards.

I'm not quite sure - I just know that the FULL version is very expensive.

Around 3:05 you could see a 3-D smilie!
2:57 smiley face

how the fuck at 0:51 did you make him hover that was awsome man pm me :D
I'm not quite sure. That message has appeared to me before, but it was for other reasons. Some of my friends have encountered the same problem. What Windows is your computer?
hmmm... I not quite sure - I haven't encountered that problem. Is it across the whole screen, or is going from one object to another object?
Would you happen to know a way to make a person hold on to an object in the air? I can't seem to figure it out. : /
hi james. im bored
how do you make a made item stay straight ?
hi james i invited you to be my family friend thingy.
what?
and how did you make the characters grab from things its natural or you put a behaviour??
James, How did you make the gun shoot some sort of invisible force at the mass objects? I know a few things about endorphin, but not complicated aspects..
is that behaviour named hold? how do you make it work cuz i can't
hey in 2.7 how do u move the angle of the camera when i try its just the highlight thingy
i got the non-comercial thing
so te bodies falling apart into pieces
i hope they do this in gta4 so that you can finally blow somones leg or arms off with high caliber weaponry
