    Bought the SR6 today from xxx Archery in Rainer Oregon. Unlike earlier bowtechs this one shoots really nice in the performance mode. I am an older shooter (68) and shooting this at 29 inches, 65 lbs in the performance mode and it is pushing my 442 grain hunting arrow at 286. It is extremely comfortable for me to shoot at that setting. Never thought I could get this kind of speed in a bow so comfortable for me to shoot.

      Lynne Pettit I was just there and not looking for a new bow but after shooting that one I’m considering what I can sell to buy one..lol

    Here's something that I'm not sure if a lot of people is realizing about BowTech flagship bows they don't have hand shock or jump to them and they don't have hardly anything on them to help with those two issues either. If you look at most of the other flagship bows they are loaded with string silencers and rubber dampeners. I guess BowTech doesn't need to add all the extra accessories to get their bows to be flat

    Shot both of these bow today. I was very happy with the way the SS performed. Not so much with the SR6. The sr6 came in much slower then I expected. It actually shot 18 FPS slower then my triax with the same arrow. Sadly I was very disappointed considering the IBO speed is faster on the bowtech. The sr6 has a lot of vibration. But the SS is a great bow! I loved shooting it

      John Kovacs. SR6 same poundage? I wonder if it was out of sync?

    • @johnparrish6052
      @johnparrish6052 6 лет назад

      Thats odd considering the realm x was hitting above ibo and is faster than the triax. Not sure that is accurate.

      Was it on comfort or performance?

      Aaron Hall same poundage, same arrow, same draw length. I doubt it was out of sync. The bow was tuned

    The SS stands for Super Smooth not Super Speed like stated at the beginning. The SR6 is Speed Redefined.

    Good video..the owners manual is for realm series bows...it says you need a bow press to change the draw length is this totally true?

    • @lspostma
      @lspostma 5 лет назад

      Only if the module screw is behind the limb... but there are ways around that too so that you shouldn't need a press to change draw length or to switch between comfort and performance modes.

    Speed check... the SR6 is rated to 352 as stated on the Bowtech website, but not uncommon for them to exceed by a couple of feet per second.

    I’ve been looking at a new bow. What worries me is I’m seeing quite a few Realms for sale used. Are shooter finding this bow not to their liking?

      SolidSnakeFPV the SS is much quieter and less vibration. Definitely a more shootable bow

    Real nice I am more old school I like my Indian bow much like what the Native American people used to use

    Again, I would appreciate sound while shooting. Doesn't maje sense to review a bow claiming quietness and smoothness and not showing the audio.

      Shooting PSE radial xweave pro 200 with feathers and 85 grain head. At 64 lbs I'm shooting 336fps. Maxed out at 72ish I'll bust 360. With 7" brace. I shoot a matrix now but still use my bowtech

    I will never buy a Bowtech since they are made in that liberal State Oregon. I refuse to support that State.

      Haha that’s a terrible reason. It’s people like the ones at bowtech and leupold among others who are trying to make changes in this state. Bowtech is a pretty awesome company in my opinion. My last four bows are bowtech and the next one most likely will be as well. To tell the truth I think there are more conservative minded folks here than libs. They just won’t vote and get the right people in office. I do my part and hope someday things will turn around.

      Respectfully, please reconsider. The Fire/Police Games was held in NY State several years ago.Bowtech donated SEVERAL fully kitted out bows as prizes for Firefighters and Police Officers competing in Archery. The other Big names wouldn’t even donate T-shirts and hats (which is what was requested from Bowtech) They’ve earned my money. But I do respect your stance and opinion Sir.
