Its honestly really hard to tell exactly. It feels to me that the Oreus has better warmth to weight ratio, however the cirrus ultra is probably a little warmer overall, but heavier and bulker

I’m heading to Scotland soon for winter climbing and am looking at new jackets. Im torn between this style and the Fitzroy - I figure these lightweight belay jackets - esp the Oreus -are more versatile as they can go under my waterproof if necessary. On the other hand the Fitzroy seems better suited to wearing while climbing. Any thoughts?
@@edwardjons8684 I think you have nailed it there. Oreus, very packable and warm and some people use as a mid layer. However quite fragile so if climbing be careful. The fitzroy is heavier but more robust, more weather proof and probably better to climb in.(I never climb in my belay jacket as I would over heat. Hope this helps)
Which of them is the warmer jacket?
