I've just begun offering such a plan. Part of the plan is based on developing a comprehensive monthly report which details not only what we did in terms of upgrading and updating, as a Data analyst in a prior life, I add detailed data on the sites performance. The report is then summarized and ends with a comprehensive consultation on next steps. The reason is that I also take care of SEO.
So far, it's worked well and also builds on what you mentioned, relationship building.

Great idea and method. I know what you mean about the data analysis from a past life kicking in with regards to our approach :)

What other services might you offer if you don't mind me asking? Do you have another video where you go a bit deeper?

This will be an amazing things to have. I bet there is lots of people like me, that started a website with youtube videos and no previous knowledge about a website and thought it was a easy thing to get done until you realize is so much more involved.

Great video, like always. Question: If a customer is paying for a WordPress maintenance basic plan where I just take care of wordpress, theme and plugins updates, what would you say to the customer if their website breaks down and it is not a wordpress, theme or plugin issue? How would you handel that? Specially having limitations on programing and no be able to resolve the issue for the customer. Thank you!!

You clarify that the maintenance is to manage Backups and Updates, but you are not responsible for any issues relating to Emails or Hosting related. You will investigate as best as you can but you cant be responsible for 3rd Party items. For instance, a garage may give you paint-protection on your new car, but they can't be responsible if a scratch on the car door penetrates the paint.

Awesome video mate! I’m about to have that “client retention” conversation with my CEO, I’ll definitely be using the “care plan” tactic.
    Cheers! 🍻

I handed over admin username password to a client. He messed up with a elementor page. I fixed it & charged separately on hourly rate.
I hand over domain hosting renewal responsibility to the client, since they are the owners of the website.
My question is, do we hand over admin control to the client? What's the best practice?
My worry is if the client decides to handover the wordpress website to another developer, my code snippets, customizations etc will be copied...
    Pl guide...

Technically they can do what they want with the codes as they’ve paid for it. If they do decide to have full admin controls then make sure they are aware of where and when your support begins and ends,

this video was so helpful. i have a question however. for a beginner web design / agency freelancer, would you recommend using wordpress or another platform such as webflow? Thanks

I like to use WordPress. The huge community and support is a big reason for that.
