    I liked that you explained the reason of asking the client about the budget... i couldn't figure it out on my own the exact reason but always knew i need to ask.

    I have been searching high and low on RUclips for how to price websites designs and development. You are the only one that explained it so perfectly and effectively. Thank you for sharing!

    You charge like $750 for website built using template, if the template is on Figma but you don't have the customizable / reusable template on Wordpress, so does that still fall into Simple or it's gonna be Custom?
    And as for pages, does 1 CMS Item count as 1 Page? And if you have a Blog / E-Commerce website with more than 100 products, then that will be 100 pages right? Each product has each details

    8:55, but if we apply to only a few freelance jobs, our chances to land just 1 of those are quite slim is it? So what do you think is the best approach to face this situation when we do also have bills to settle?

    Thank you for the informative video. I would like to know what our approach is around the "premium" plugins used on client projects, like Elementor Pro?

    Most of these companies are using ai to design websites, it seems like this may be a better alternative to use Ai instead of a Webmaster.
    It takes me about 4 minutes to get the framework up, and 1-4 hrs to setup to post ( depending on video creation work ).
    ...and Ai does all of this under 60 seconds.
    How can you compete with this ?
    Not to mention most are extremely low cost!!
    Am I missing something 🤔

    You do not need to ask customers about a budget. They tell you what they want and you present options and pricing. Asking customers upfront for a budget is a total cop out to see how much customers are willing to pay and then adjust packages accordingly. No transparency = no customer.

      @tristanparker  9 месяцев назад +1

      I agree about transparency. We place our pricing model on the website so we don’t have that problem. Asking about budgets sets expectations from both sides. There is no point wasting each others time if their budget is outside of what you charge. I’m not ever suggesting you up your price to meet their budget.

    Do you include the website yearly fees in the price for the client

    Great video this really helps! How do you handle the cost of the additional software/plugins? For example if someone needs a booking platform for their website, do you incorporate the cost in the total cost for the project and tell them they will have to pay the monthly or annual fee for the software? Or are we as designers responsible for the cost? Thank you..I hope my question makes sense!

    • @tristanparker
      @tristanparker  Год назад +4

      I would make them aware of any subscription costs and tell them they will have to be responsible for paying for them.

    i have a small question. should i include domain and hosting with the package?

    • @tristanparker
      @tristanparker  7 месяцев назад

      Hosting does need to be considered and it’s easier to bill the client for it monthly on top of the website price. I currently have the client buy their own domain and just give us access so we can amend the domain settings and point to the website

      @@tristanparker ..yes me too.. normaly I charge 2000 euro and was thinking about a contract of 24 month 2000 / 24 = 83 per month fee... and then upsell maintanance contract options. What do you think about that?.. what are your thoughts at the moment about offering for a monthly fee?

    • @tristanparker
      @tristanparker  7 месяцев назад +1

      @@Webrisernl so my thoughts are similar to yours. Essentially turning a fixed fee into monthly payments over 24 months. But I would have maintenance included in that monthly payment. Then upsell marketing. After 24th this, put them on a lower monthly figure that covers just maintenance. That’s as far as I got
