I'm 53 with dry skin. I was not a fan of the original Elf CC foundation. Upon my first application of the new hydrating one, I was not a fan. However, I've since started using it with a couple drops of rosehip oil & really love the finish.
I love that the drugstore is coming out with wonderful products. I do check on where it’s made… especially from China vs USA, Korea ,Japan and European countries before purchasing

Something I found helped with the thickness of the It Cosmetic’s CC cream was adding a drop of squalene oil, it thinned it out and made it looked so glowy and skin like. Perhaps this can apply to the elf version ?
i feel the same about the elf mascara! when i first used it i was sooo turned off by the dryness but it makes my lashes look so good and doesn’t flake or smudge on me like literally every other mascara does!
Pet beauty product! Angel Eyes is a tear stain preventer that I’ve used on my Shihtzu with amazing results. Once the stained hair is clipped, new white fresh hair will grow in and stay white! I used the powder on his food, but I think they also have chews now. Give your adorable monster a hug!🥰

I’d give the Natrium cooper peptides a try! It’s the one product I’ve used that i feel has truly transformed my skin! I’ve repurchased at least 4 times now! I also have super sensitive skin and my skin tolerates it beautifully!

Do you think the higher spf a moisturizer has, the more difficult it is to formulate the product to be thinner? That's the general feeling I'm getting with sunscreen
I would cautiously agree (not that I've tried them all), that has certainly been the case with something like the Neutrogena dry-touch line which gets gloopier with higher SPF. However I have two spf 100 sunscreens, one is Banana Boat sport and the other is Walgreens Age Protection and the BB is very thick and the Walgreens is much more liquidy going on. So I think it's more complicated than just the SPF.
Abbey since you like The Ordinary Copper peptide serum Please PLEASE try Theramid Copper Peptide Serum. That one is AMAZING!!! Nobody is talking about that one!!!
Back in 2009 essence had a creamy bronzer like the milano one now, I was so tanned I actually used it as „foundation“ because the only dark shade foundations in austria were glittery bronzers or Maybellines dream matte mousse and that was just a mess 😂
I was dying to try the elf tubing as I only wear tubing mascaras & thought if any drugstore brand can nail it- it’s elf. The caliray is my current reigning fave, all last year, specifically the mini just trust me.😂 I actually rly like the elf one! A trick w/ tubing is to keep building the one eye then go to the next cuz once the dry the tubes form & it’s hard to build. That said, one eye at a time I could rly build & build.
I apologize if I've missed a video or two, but you said you don't use the Native deodorant because it's aluminum free... why is that? I personally still use deodorants with aluminum because I've found the ones that don't have it, just don't work for me. Just curious what your reasoning is. Loved this video btw! 😁
The elf camo hydrating cc cream seems to be having an issue with its ingredients list atm! Pampered Wolf just did a video on it and there seems to be 3 different ingredients lists for the exact same product 😬. Might be one worth an investigate!!

I tried the new Revlon Illuminance and was soooo excited……..and man was I let down! I need to try it some more, but I thought it looked horrible on my skin, which is mature and dry. I always use moisturizer and a hydrating primer, but it looked so weird on my skin. I did not care for the texture of it either, at all! Not sure what it was, but seemed dry? Or way matte or something. I couldn’t put my finger on it.
I totally agree about the IT Cosmetics CC cream. It was recommended as a lightweight, medium coverage foundation and it absolutely feels heavy on my skin. It really bothers me. The Kosas foundation feels like wearing nothing and has such a beautiful finish. So much of a better fit for me.
I keep getting free stuff from ELF. That primer is one of them. I like it. I've found the more pore blurring primers pill up on me and i do not like that at all. I've also gotten a makeup brush and something else from them. They're full size samples too!

I was wondering the same thing about The Ordinary Copper Peptide and the Naturium Peptide serum as well. I've been using the Biossance Cooper Peptide and love it, but don't necessarily like the price tag, so I just bought The Ordinary and while it's nice for the past couple of days, I'm not crazy about the vinegar like smell....so I was curious as to what was the best option.
I would absolutely LOVE and appreciate a great hair mousse for hydration, hold and volume that could replace my longtime beloved Clairol 3 in 1 conditioning mousse. I feel like mousse is SOOOO tricky. We need ya, Abbey!! HELP!
For me, the smell that the Naturium peptide serum has is a campfire. Which makes total sense, because it has ferulic acid in it, and every product I've ever tried with ferulic acid smells like a campfire. Immediate giveaway. I like the serum, especially for winter. I DO wish, however, that it had a few more peptides in it besides Argiriline Amplified (not sure what the amplification is), because I'd prefer ingredients that are actually improving the structure of my skin-not just making it LOOK like they are.
Abbey could you try the cover girl essence serum foundation? It’s the one with the pigment balls that’s expensive (21 bucks). Supposed to be a Chanel dupe
Just thought I'd mention that the Milani cream bronzer sits at around $61/ounce which is incredibly expensive vs something like Saie's cream bronzer where you're getting 32 for 1oz of product. Also.. the shades are on the cap for the elf lip liners
I was reading that dry shampoo on your scalp and hair is actually very damaging to the roots and the hair cuticle. Have you looked into this? Some dermatologists have said not to use dry shampoo more than two days in a row. Curious as to your thoughts. ❤

I got the poreless putty primer and for my skin works wonderfully. My skin runs dry to very dry depending on what moisturizer I use, so for me this works really nice.
May I ask which foundation you use? I love the elf putty primer and have very dry skin, too. I haven’t found an amazing foundation that I really love, yet.

@@megandurkee4940 I will definitely let you know if I find something else that works! One that I really liked was the Wet n Wild Tinted Hydrator. I don’t know if it oxidizes after it dries or it’s just too cool of a tone for my skin, but i had to stop wearing it because the color was so off. It made my skin feel so smooth and moisturized; I think it was because it has squalane in it. If you have a cooler skin tone, you might want to try it. :)
I picked up the Maybelline Lifter plumping gloss thinking they just finally got the perfect light pinky shade(pink sting) and I too did not fully read 💀
I have extremely dehydrated skin. Even when it's healthy, it requires a lot of maintenance & deeeeeeep moisture. I think I'm lucky re: primer, I get a great blurring effect by layering a liquid primer & putty type primer. I wanted to try the elf but I have 1.5 pans of putty (the LA Colors version is shockingly good), and a couple fancy primers that im loving (thank u boxycharm lol). I've been DIYing versions of this formula for years, so I'm kind of bummed that I'm waiting to try it, but my primer shelf is a bit too full already lol.

This could be because of my skin type which is oily/combo, just didn't work out for me. Your display in the background is really pretty looking 💕.
