Great Danes are the absolute best pets - they are gentle giants. I had 8 danes a shep/dane mix, a rottie and 2 small mixed breeds for over 40 years. I cooked food for them and fed them 3 times a day. I got unconditional love, hugs and kisses . They kept me grounded. We lived on a 4 acre farm so they had a large play yard.

These are not former racers. These are wild horses removed from rangeland and rough broke then sent to auction. Many, if not most end up being shipped to slaughter. Very badly treated
1929modelagirl I never said it was race horses. I said I wish there was a way to stop the racing of these creatures.. I was talking about horses that ppl use to race, obviously not the ones from the video. The video is about horses saved from auctioning. I was making a general statement.

Amanda R not all horses are race horses, I ride western and do reining. That’s wayyyy off from racing
Amanda you misunderstand these are not racing horses they are WILD horses the Federal government between 2009-2017 removed over half of all wild horses in the US off Federal lands and put them in government crowded holding facilities for adoption at auctions, most will never get adopted, it is a tragedy.

God, I needed this so bad. Just sat through several minutes of horrific animal cruelty video and shared it to raise awareness, and this really helps keep me sane. Wonderful story!
I’m not surprised, considering he’s a Great Dane. I had one until he passed at age 5 of cancer. It’s been several years and I still dream of him. Hands down the most amazing breed. They know your heart. And I guess they know a horse’s heart as well!
Please send all the love you can to Barkley the Great Dane @skydogsanctuary because he has a type of colon cancer and isn't expected to make it much longer. Barkley is the beating 💓 heart of Skydog Sanctuary, and beloved by all. It will be impossible to replace him, so I know they won't try. Thanks to The Dodo for making this video! 🥰🤗

Some people are amazing. And inspiring. I have dreamt several times of creating an animal sanctuary. Videos like this show that it is possible.
I really want to introduce my Great Dane to horses. It’d be the first time he’s met a larger animal (that wasn’t a Great Dane).
My dad's dog thunder is a great dane but thunder passed away back on October 19th 😢 of 2017 I've been depressed ever since then 😭 i miss him so much

Looks nearly Identical to my Great Dane Guinness, the most amazing breed of dogs I have every had. He does the same jump up and hug routine to me everyday I come home, from work and class or whenever he feels like it.
