I think PS3 was the last generation that we saw Sony taking risks and at their peak in terms of creativity. Basically since The Last Of Us originally released in 2013 they fundamentally changed their entire strategy from video games to movie style games. And they just realised now that it's not sustainable for the business.

Take a deep breath and calm down . There's more to life than Gaming. All will be fine.

Let's face it, console's (BOTH SONY AND MICROSOFT) are DYING.FACT! Most PS4 owners have NOT upgraded and do NOT plan to.(FIRM FACT!) PS owners DON'T want to play anymore updated versions of older games. Millions of gamers got tired of playing the same old tired single player RPGs on Sony that got boring REALLY QUICK. Millions of gamers are tired of streaming older games on Playstation without real backwards compatibility. FACT. Only Nintendo will be standing in a few years. P.laystation IS dying (YES DYING!) and GamePass WILL put consoles out of business the same way Netflix put Blockbuster out of business! FACTS. PS5 is a waste of money at this point. I sold mine a few months ago for a Switch that I can play both on television and on the go, with far better exclusives than any of Sony's and I haven't looked back.

Consoles USED to make sense. But as they’ve become more and more like PC’s they aren’t as relevant. PC is so much better.

When you google Sony, you only get PlayStation results. This alone shows Sony is failing, because the reason the PlayStation was so successful was because Sony was a massive tech company, that could use their advanced tech in the PlayStation. Now PlayStation is just an AMD-GPU wrapper just like Xbox (Nintendo's Switch is an Nvidia GPU wrapper). There is no tech that sets Sony apart anymore.

  • @Ralphunreal

ps5 is awful and ps4 as well. it will get worse from here on....

  • @user-pz6yu4vy8v

PlayStation is dead bro losing money from the business losing market value missing sales targets for ps5 no games until 2025 like man pony’s down bad

  • @aceofspades001

    Exaggeration at its finest 😂😂😂

  • @Retro_Gamer_89

PS5 is 🗑️ I bought one last year and sold it because it's 🐕 💩 Xbox Series X is better just off emulation alone

  • @youngc570

Because Dad Walking Simulators are boring af.

  • @WaynesWorldUnlimited

I’ve been with PlayStation and Xbox from day one I’ve had every console they’ve ever created. I’ve worked my ass off to buy most of them. But after nine years on the PS4, knowing the PlayStation five was coming and having worked in the gaming industry, I wasn’t too convinced. I actually switched from the PS4 to the Xbox One S then, after that having seen the PS5 didn’t like it at all went straight to the series S and now with the series. X. I was even given a PlayStation five for Christmas 2023 and I give it away because I just don’t like it. I am staying with Xbox and PC

  • @doctorfresh3856

B.S. They put there games on other platforms because sales were declining. 😒

  • @COUNTVLAIDMIR

Once they released games on PC, I knew something bad was brewing in Sony's financials.

  • @TheFEARSlayer01

Honestly the fact that they "Need" exclusives in order to drive sales proves the point that the Console ecosystem and gaming in general is flawed. Like ideally they should be competing with features and specs and all that, making the best user experience for their platform should be what brings people in, not artificially locking down games. As you said though, the quality has taken a nose dive lately and it doesn't seem like the switch to putting games on PC is really effecting that, considering this was a problem with the PS4 generation as a whole, so it going on PC has nothing to do with that.

  • @77wolfblade

I think one of the problems when it comes to new console systems is the scalping problem. And the scalping issues can last at least a year or two and it puts people off the console due to a huge price hikes from the scalpers and sometimes the manufacturers themselves.

  • @TheMcrico84

If its not xbox is playstation thats coming to an end. Good that my backlog is massive from the ps1 to the ps5 so it makes no difference

  • @WizavPRO

There are no games - younger generations are not aware of the fact that PS4 and PS5 (combined) have less games than PS3 and PS2 had more games than PS3. Gaming is dying because game development is expensive.

  • @Westile

If exclusivity is anti-consumer but exclusives are the only reason you'd buy a console, then what exactly are you asking for in a console?

  • @Tinbeef22

I Know you need the views lol

  • @mza4739

The problem is the rising costs of AAA game development. Also, Covid slowed down development for the games in development at the time...
