I don’t think ANY major Video game company (Nintendo, Sony, Xbox) is giving fans what they really want IMO. I’ve been waiting for Metroid Prime 4 news for years.. These are companies driven by PROFIT, not by satisfying their consumer base.

Game Pass is making it possible for all kinds of gamers play the games in day one and helping them find new games they enjoy to play. I would hate to pay 80€ for a game I never got change to try first. Big possibility of wasting hard earned money. I play first day releses in Game Pass and might buy them later from the sales when the prices have dropped a bit. Win win for everyone.

Lol, fan boy here with my PS5, back to PS1, NES and super NES. Have my minis, Atari console and still enjoy my PlayStations. I have the first Xbox and 360's, but they collect dust in my closet. For some reason, I couldn't get into Xbox games. Not sure if just lame story lines or what, but couldn't get into Xbox. Best thing they did was bring competition and that was it.

They've been floating the company on the back of the gaming division, and that means that gaming division can't take risks. That's not even factoring any of Jim Ryan's decisions. Things like relying on CoD revenue instead of reviving some of their classic franchises like Killzone and SOCOM.

But Play Station game sells sucks currently. Xbox ecosystem is not only about console but Game Pass and creating first party games also for PC, bettering cloud/online gaming etc. I dont think Xbox is anymore even trying to compete with console sales, it focusses on bettering the ecosystem over all and sell the Xbox studio's platform and they could care less if one playes Game Pass or Xbox studio games with PC or console or phone as long as people buy and use their services. Its business and about creating well selling games and services like Game Pass wich attracts gamers, not about plastic box. Nobody would buy Play Station without those previous exclusives, the platform itself has nothing to offer othervice currently and now they dont really produce even first party games anymore it seems... only buys 3rd party timely exclusives.
From my perspective, ps has turned into xbox. West got a grip on ps, and everything went to shit basically. Now that Japan has no contact with creative aspect of ps, we see the results. They're just focused on kids games now. Attracting as many kids as possible. And even turning well established IP's into kids games. Gow for example. It's the Hollywood treatment. Film industry is at the all time low now. And it spilled over on games too. Unfortunately, games do not have the same history as film. It's way shorter. So until climate in US changes, we won't see nothing good basically. Not a single game on the horizon that you can say a console seller. Ps6 will happen for sure, but software will be lacking. They will resell the same games, optimized for ps6. I reckon 144hz mode will be the only difference.

Ever since ps5 dropped, I wanted the console, but whenever there was a show about upcoming games, there was not a single game that made me excited or interested. And 3 years later, nothing's changed in that regard. Sony turned into super hero company. Just like movies. Like sure, Stellar blade looks nice. Will try it. But I don't see myself even beating that game honestly. I may try it, and play for an hour or so. Maybe even less is more realistic. The best approach basically, is to sell the console, and wait for ps6. And then based on the ps5 catalogue, I decided if I want to get ps6. And I will play all the games optimized there. All those 30 locked games now, will be unlocked on ps6. Hell that's how ps5 turned out to be. The best games I've played on it, were ps4 remasters.

U still havent realise that its not anymore only about consoles but the platform and ecosystem itself. Microsoft makes lots of money with providing game pass and xbox games to PC as well and releasing also multiplatform first party games as well as making first party exclusives to its platform. People are now gaming with many different devices, the era is over where people are even wanting to be dependent on one particular console only. There is so many things Sony has to make better if they want to stay in competition in the future = online gaming, cloud gaming, PS plus needs to be better and they need to start to produce actually First party games including some multiplatform games instead of relying on timely 3rd party exclusives only.

I don't need but a game to buy a console. Demon Souls, Final fantasy TLOUP II remastered and they got my money assured. Everything else i pirate in pc and my JB PS4. I couldn't care less. So keep whining.

But Play Station game sells sucks currently. Xbox ecosystem is not only about console but Game Pass and creating first party games also for PC, bettering cloud/online gaming etc.
I dont think Xbox is anymore even trying to compete with console sales, it focusses on bettering the ecosystem over all and sell the Xbox studio's platform and they could care less if one playes Game Pass or Xbox studio games with PC or console or phone as long as people buy and use their services. Its business and about creating well selling games and services like Game Pass wich attracts gamers, not about plastic box.
Nobody would buy Play Station without those previous exclusives, the platform itself has nothing to offer othervice currently and now they dont really produce even first party games anymore it seems... only buys 3rd party timely exclusives.

From my perspective, ps has turned into xbox.
West got a grip on ps, and everything went to shit basically.
Now that Japan has no contact with creative aspect of ps, we see the results. They're just focused on kids games now. Attracting as many kids as possible.
And even turning well established IP's into kids games. Gow for example.
It's the Hollywood treatment. Film industry is at the all time low now. And it spilled over on games too. Unfortunately, games do not have the same history as film. It's way shorter. So until climate in US changes, we won't see nothing good basically.
Not a single game on the horizon that you can say a console seller. Ps6 will happen for sure, but software will be lacking. They will resell the same games, optimized for ps6. I reckon 144hz mode will be the only difference.

Ever since ps5 dropped, I wanted the console, but whenever there was a show about upcoming games, there was not a single game that made me excited or interested.
And 3 years later, nothing's changed in that regard. Sony turned into super hero company. Just like movies.
Like sure, Stellar blade looks nice. Will try it. But I don't see myself even beating that game honestly. I may try it, and play for an hour or so. Maybe even less is more realistic.
The best approach basically, is to sell the console, and wait for ps6. And then based on the ps5 catalogue, I decided if I want to get ps6. And I will play all the games optimized there. All those 30 locked games now, will be unlocked on ps6.
Hell that's how ps5 turned out to be. The best games I've played on it, were ps4 remasters.

U still havent realise that its not anymore only about consoles but the platform and ecosystem itself. Microsoft makes lots of money with providing game pass and xbox games to PC as well and releasing also multiplatform first party games as well as making first party exclusives to its platform.
People are now gaming with many different devices, the era is over where people are even wanting to be dependent on one particular console only.
There is so many things Sony has to make better if they want to stay in competition in the future = online gaming, cloud gaming, PS plus needs to be better and they need to start to produce actually First party games including some multiplatform games instead of relying on timely 3rd party exclusives only.

I don't need but a game to buy a console. Demon Souls, Final fantasy TLOUP II remastered and they got my money assured. Everything else i pirate in pc and my JB PS4. I couldn't care less. So keep whining.
