Feed stores also sell a livestock mixing salt works as well. Grape actually does work well in the Southeast where we have a lot of muscadines which are wild grapes.
I’ve seen numerous recipes for deer attractants. But I must say I NEVER Heard of utilizing laundry detergent!! But hey...If it works, it WORKS. I’ll try it out and let you know.
@@NBWildman I drilled some holes about 8+ inches deep and fill those holes with the mix. I left my maple stumps alone because they were resprouting and deer go nuts for maple tree stump sprouts.
Use whatever salt you want, then add blue raspberry Jammer to just cover the salt instead of water. Add 4 packs of blue raspberry jello packs and let that sit for about a week or two to infuse the salt. Then place 4 packs of regular gelatin and 4 packs of Lime jello and use 4 32oz corn syrup and shake the crap out of it. I personally use a paint mixer on a drill. Then slowly add warm water to get the consistency you want. Let sit overnight, mix up again and pour over your stump. Sit back and watch your trail cam!
I did not put any links to other videos, I merely stated that I had seen many videos with these same ingredients. I am sorry if that offended you, you have the right to make videos that are the same or similar to others.
Just pour the straight table salt on the stump. the rain and dew will let it soak into the stump and the deer will eat it. its the salt they crave during the spring and summer. it,s due to their diet they need the salt , but once their starts to change late summer they hardly hit the salt. at least in the north.
It is not a laundry detergent. Sodium bicarbonate is basically baking soda. It will neutralize the PH in soil, stumps, wood etc. and make it more palatable for the deer. If you do a side by side test, with and without the baking soda you will see a major difference in your test sites. Deep will paw and eat the dirt with the sodium bicarbonate twice as much as the site without it. some of the commercial deer mineral mixes also use soda ash to neutralize the soil.Good luck.
I tried it out on a rotten stump at my cabin. About a month later my trail cam caught a picture of the really homely 275 pound neighbor lady chewing on the stump, I didn't care except she was naked. Yuk!
not dish detergent...laundry detergent and it's an all natural substance, it's pure sodium carbonate...or more commonly known as soda ash. it occurs in nature and deer use it to help digest mineral and aid in antler growth...

Feed stores also sell a livestock mixing salt works as well.
Grape actually does work well in the Southeast where we have a lot of muscadines which are wild grapes.
Well, tried this out and I gotta say, works great! Thanks again!
Glad you like it....
Love the vids and the blue screen 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Great, thanks, and thank you for watching !!
How long will this stay liquid in bottle?
I’ve seen numerous recipes for deer attractants. But I must say I NEVER Heard of utilizing laundry detergent!! But hey...If it works, it WORKS. I’ll try it out and let you know.
Please do!, but be aware it has to be the arm and hammer stuff i show in the video...
NBWildman Gotcha! 👍😎👍
NBWildman Gotcha! 👍😎👍
If the stump is still a little fresh, does it help to drill a few holes in the stump?
yes i would say so, but i really would try and find a rotten one
@@NBWildman I drilled some holes about 8+ inches deep and fill those holes with the mix. I left my maple stumps alone because they were resprouting and deer go nuts for maple tree stump sprouts.
How effective is this if you just pour on ground
I works fine, the stump just absorbs and hold the attractant longer
can you substitute baking soda for soda wash? also what's the purpose of it?
it's not baking soda, it's sodium carbonate. baking soda is sodium bi-carbonate, i think

Thanks for sharing. I will certainly try it out. How long do you normally wait before refreshing a site, about a Month?
Yea, about that, i start with two bottles and only refresh with one, if you want you can refresh with two no harm..
Have you tried this with apple juice instead of water?
no i haven't, sounds like a great idea though...you?
@@NBWildman had mixed results.

Thank you, no offence taken, just curious what other video's used this recipe, i can search it out, thanks for watching.
How long can it be made in advance and stored for
i don't make it much before i need it....but i see no reason why it couldn't be frozen
does bears in the area pose a problem?
if you use food type attractant they will move right in,,,,,and the deer will move right out
I've always got bear here. Their a real problem.
Little vodka and you've got a party!! Hey enjoyed the video have you tried vanilla extract? Works great !!
Yes I have, brings in black bears in NB like crazy
Would borax work the same or is it a lil too strong
I would think it would be a bit strong, you can check and see, as long as it is sodium carbonate it should be fine
Show putting it back in the 2 liter bottles
Content was good, but green screen and audio just didn’t do it for me.
Greg Monroe 100% agree
@@mandyrautins8803 yep, i'm gonna have to work on that, it was my first attempt
yea, i don't love it, i'm working on it though and the next one will be better or the green screen is out the window.
What time of the year will deer hit this ?
here in NB they start about early May and will continue right through November, more in the summer than fall but i have hunted over it...
1 box of jello turns 4 liters into that thickness of goo ?
not right away, it just thickens it up, if you would like it thicker you can add more jellow or some clear corn syrup
Bear must like it too? is it OK to use this recipe if you don't want DEAR around the area?
you don't want Deer?
@@NBWildman Yes, it's the BEAR I don't want around.
Why sodium carbonate
deer love it, and it's naturalish
NBWildman thanks
NBWildman i have all the stuff to try this but where I am in the states you can not use salt so have to try it with out
What kind of background is that a moving mural?
my first attempt at a green screen....epic fail
Does it work all year round
not a winter attractant, works best in spring summer and early fall
Enjoy the channel overall, but the effects in this one were so off I laughed at one point.
Sounded like the microphone was in the bucket.
Are bears attracted to this as well?
they will be because of the smell, but they don't tend to stick around because there is really nothing for them to eat.
Just pour the straight table salt on the stump. the rain and dew will let it soak into the stump and the deer will eat it. its the salt they crave during the spring and summer. it,s due to their diet they need the salt , but once their starts to change late summer they hardly hit the salt. at least in the north.
I would leave the detergent out
Why? It’s all natural. Sodium carbonate. If you look on the packages of almost all deer attractive products you will find it in the ingredients list

I made this up today and had deer on it in about 3 hours .. truth
Why would u want a deer to eat a stump
as long as the stump is soft and decaying, the roughage helps with digestion of the minerals
Hey Mr. Cole why did you delete my comment

you may need to cull that one...
Eewwww
could not understand you, and same recipe as several other videos.

Does go bonkers for this stuff but trophy bucks avoid it like the frigging plague.
i have has quite a few shooter bucks like it, but i guess it all depends on what you call a trophy and the location you use the stuff in ..
Clearly you want your deer to fart cherry bubbles.
Had a hard time understanding you, echoing to much!!!
yes i know, that was an experiment that i will not repeat
NBWildman trial & error!! good info though!!!
