I have a large cottonwood stump I am thinking about using because I noticed a doe chewing on it. I had applied a brine a year prior and had given up on it. Thanks for your video
It works!!! Tried your exact mixture, poured it on a pulled stump at my house, and within four days the deer were working at it. It has rained since I put it out don't know it that helped or not. Can't wait to use it at my hunting spot in another state. Why can't you use it on pine stumps? I have pine stumps all around my stand but will take a piece of firewood (not pine) to pour it on. Thank You.
I've been mixing a dry mix of Jell-O, salt, sugar and vanilla pudding powder and putting it on a high spot in a small swamp. They are tearing it up! I want to start putting some nutrients in it, I started just to see if it would work and it sure has.
Have tried several recipes for salt and mineral blocks. Through trial and error have found have found that just plain salt from the store works the best. Was wondering about a liquid formula to try. . Himalayan salt has more trace minerals in it. Perhaps you could add that's well. What do you think of pouring it into the dirt. Is that something that would harm a deer. I see that alot in other videos along with the stump. Thanks.
What sodium carbonate do you use I made a batch an nothing coming to it. I used armor and hammer sodium carbonate. But it looks like it’s laundry detergent
You should use sodium carbonate for mineral licks, it is used in laundry soaps, but it is also. Used in taxidermy to help release the meat from the skull. Baking soda, a.k.a sodium bicarbonate is used in mineral licks and deer attractants like Deer Cane
@@deercorner7666 We had that up here in Northern NY, get a lot more down South, but we got their weather. Were clear now, had frost. CWD is scary though..it is sadly so suited to deer lifestyle .. one of my biggest fears of overpopulation is potential CWD wildfire.. Scary stuff.
In Pa iif you put that on a stup you are now hunting over "Bait" if any of the mineral are still in the Stump. So that is a total Fail for any legal hunters in PA. No Thanks!
@@deercorner7666 That is not a discussion I want to have with DCNR, they will not see it that way. Just not worht the fines and loss of Licsence for 5 years to me.
I really like that you have all your stuff together and go straight into it. No dead air. I can’t wait to mix this up and try it. Thank you !
It works been using it now for 30 years or more thanks for your comment
I think I will try this recipe, thank you! Deer come to our yard often and I enjoy seeing them.

I put mineral blocks out for our horses and the deer. The deer here love them.
That's great but here they pay them no attention, thanks for the comment
