Hi. I also bought a official refurbished one in Switzerland. My was a 1000 Model with the big heatsink and with a brand new glossy panel. It even had a protection foil on it.
Thank for your comment! That's very interesting to hear and I wonder if different territories may have different refurbishment procedures for their units - also assuming that the refurbishment may be outsourced.
@@myairspace121@myairspace121 maybe. Mi main concern was the black shiny part and if the controller will be scuffed. AFAIK i got a version 4? controller 🤔
@@myairspace121I checked my console again and i even do not have the ps certified refurbished sticker. But it was in an a original sealed refurbished box 😅
I got a used PS5 for $365+ on Mercari, no stand or original packaging included; It looked pretty new, and was advertised as such, except for a tiny crack I found on the corner of one of the white plates inside the molding where it says "PS", and a few scratches near the usb port on the controller. I'd say it was around $415 after getting a replacement set of plates, and a base stand.
Looks and package with seal like the brand new im probably going to pick one up bc i recently got the 30th anniversary slim ps5 and I don’t want open my limited edition so I’m going to pick one of these Sony refurbished ps5 digital edition model
Nice to hear, and I think you’ll be pleased with the refurbished unit! Mine very much feels like a brand new system, minus the glossy black front being buffed haha
My 1000 model had all those micro scratches outta the box brand new. Best way to get rid of them is use car polishing wax. The white scratches come off with goo-gone
I''m attracted to this because it's the fat model. I'm not convinced about the modular disc drive on the slim. You need a sony tool to pair it to your console.
😊❤️🤗🙏 well done Sony giveing us a cheaper console that has been cleaned and repaired by the company who mad the ps5 I think it’s a great deal how much this cost u ?

@@helloyou5423 bought mine a month ago in germany, no weird scratches or magic eraser, looked just like it was factory new
Still better than GameStop Refurbished.

That's a terrible attempt at polishing that PS5.
I've been considering buying one. the price is great
Definitely a great price for all this plus a warranty
Nice to see a Video for official refurbished ps5 from Sony
Just out of curiosity what kind of shipping box did it arrive in? Plain or does it say PlayStation on the box ?
It shipped in a plain box, nothing special on the outside

Are you sure that’s not a plastic cover/film on the black piano section to prevent scratches?
Yes. Unfortunately that is the condition of the piano black portion of the console

Thanks for the advice!
I mean I would just spend an extra 100 and buy it brand new
So these "Official Refurbished" PS5 versions are just 100 bucks cheaper than the Originals?
But why?

Bought one on Thursday and they still haven't ship it...
@@dericjames2018 that tuff
@@dericjames2018 how long did it take for yours to come? Still waiting on mine to ship as well
Mine took 2 business days to finally get a shipping confirmation
@@myairspace121 damn was hoping to get it this weekend, ordered on Tuesday morning
6:09 it's from removing the plates.
Makes sense, and It very well could be from that, the handling of the system, or either during refurbishment or use by the previous owner.
It's always been boxed like that.
ugh Sony taking refurb lessons from Gamestop using that clorox magic scrubber
I mean it's literally referbished by Sony themselves, you're not gonna be seeing stuff like DK oldies or gamestop
