Good review, but not sure I agree with your squareness test. All you're showing is that the two sides of the long straight piece are parallel. You can test a combi square by flipping it over and making sure the lines are consistent, but harder to do with this one due to the lip only being on one side of the short piece. Are the two large holes on the short piece 20mm and spaced to match an MFT (96mm)?
I agree with the squareness test, that only proves it’s parallel not square. However if you have a trusted square you could run a line from that over the line from the TEMU square and that would prove squareness.
That's true, I did check it against my precision square but its too short ( it was square to it for the length of it tho) . I don't have one that's long enough. Hence I didn't add that to the video as it would be pointless if I can't check the whole length. Looks like I need a longer precision square :)
If the big holes match that of your MFT then you could secure the square with a couple of benchdogs and flip it, the way you would with a combi square. The upside down square would be off the surface but you could use your combi square upright to reference that to the first line
Eh, that's annoying. There's probably an opportunity for Temu to make one that does lock to an MFT. Hard to see what the point of the holes is otherwise
14:45 It looks as though you could completely unscrew the first of the bushing holders and turn it 180° so that you could draw lines down to 10mm from the 'T' end.
Nice video as usual and I enjoy watching them, but I have to agree with the other comments regarding checking how square it actually is. You should have compared it against a tested square.
@williamkilpatrick101 Don't have one long enough (yet). I have checked it against the one I have, and it was fine. However, as it's not covering the whole length, I have not shown that in the video. As then, I would have comments saying, "It's not accurate as it doesn't cover the whole length of the t-ruler" which would be correct. I'll do a quick short or something showing how square it is when I get my longer precision square 👍😅
@williamkilpatrick101 Correct. However, I would have the same comments if my crosschecking square was not long enough - the procedure is incorrect as the square was not long enough. So rightly or wrongly, I went with the option you see in the video. I probably should have waited for my new square before making this video. But hey, it is what it is. Still got about 2-3 weeks before my square arrives and I hope it will be square 😅
Unfortunately, Temu is up to its tricks again. Your router link is sold out, and the only one they have that looks just the same - is £21. The price for the t square is £16.27 - admittedly, they are still cheaper than the same products on Amazon - but not as cheap as you suggest
Those holes that you drilled do not appear to line up with the pencil marks. Looks to be about 1mm out. Either you marked the holes wrong or set the bushings wrong or there is something wrong with the T ruler. Maybe the T ruler does not start at zero. Maybe the bushings are not square Maybe bushings are offset from the mark.
Could be the camera. They allined with the horizontal lines- which I was checking. Maybe slightly out on the vertical lines, but that would be just down to me not paying attention.
@@CasualDIY If you look at 17:51 you will see that the drilled hole is not centred on the horizontal line. It is quite close to the vertical line. it is not the camera, there is no parallax because the hole and the pencil mark are on the same plane.
I watch hooked on wood for the China tool review some of them are good. I try to use veiko or enjoywood makes. And a lot of theses tools are extras from other companies except woodpeckers as they do there own. I’ve used Chinese tools for a while never come undone and are accurate
To be fair I'm a bit of a fan of Veiko/ Enjoywood tools. The only issues I had was with one t-square from Drillpro - it was bent. These tools from Temu seem decent as well. However I seen some dogy ones on Temu as well.
As I mentioned on another conment. The way this t-ruler is designed, it's difficult to measure the squares of it (as you would have to flip it over, and due to how it's designed, it's impossible to do). I have checked it with my precision square. However, it wasn't long enough to cover the whole length of the T-Ruler, so potentially, it could give biased results. But it was square to the full length of my precision square. And I have ordered a longer precision square now 😅👍
Just if its parallel, due to the way its designed its hard to check it the "correct" way. And I don't have a precision square that is long enough to check the whole t-ruler. I have offer my precision square to it and to that length it was square. However you would really need to check the whole length. I have now ordered a longer precision square ;D

Just checked them with my callipers and they are just under 18mm...

Fantastic reviews, Tomasz! Thanks a bunch! 😃
Stay safe there with your family! 🖖😊
Thanks, you too!
nice honest review, have come to expect that of you to be fair! A router plane was called a "granny's tooth " in my day lol
Lol granny's tooth not heard that one before, love it!
I've got quite a few Temu stuff, and for the most, I've been happy.
So far, the tools I got from them seem to be decent quality. Hopefully, they will last a long time as well.

I tried it and it wobbles too much.
Just use some thread locker if you are worried about screws going loose.
👍 yes, someone suggested, I do have the thread lock somewhere in my workshop, and when I'll find it then that's exactly what I will do👍

Code did not work for me. Says only for new users 😢
I will get in touch with them to clarify.
"only for new users" - aka the drug dealer principle
That’s a very fancy paperweight.
You got a lot of space on your desk!

Typical. However, I've noticed they change the listing daily. Maybe it will go back to that price tomorrow 🤔
I just bought the T Square for 99p.. cheers chap 🤘
@@Flashiom can't go wrong with that 😅

@johnclements6614 I'll take a photo tomorrow and drop it on my Instagram so you can check out exactly 👍
@@CasualDIY You can see on the video from 17:42 that it does not line up with the horizontal lines. I do not have Instagram.

I clicked on the link for the square and it’s £21 not 1 euro I’m a little confused how you actually get the 1 euro price
I think you need to add the coupon code. Or try the main top link.
Comment: If the first line is 89 degrees for example, the second line will also be 89 degrees, seen as the 2 sides of the ruler are parallel

Nooice!
Check it is square, then Loctite the screws.
That's a good idea and do have a bottle of it somewhere in my workshop 👍
Temu is the Chinese Lidl some stuff is great and a lot is crap. Just be careful to look at sizes before you buy?
That's very true 👍
