The way Len Murphy says "You bastard" when Joan Ferguson delivers him that low blow, is a thing of beauty :)

The Murphy/Ferguson fight scene is one of the best fights in Prisoner.
Murphy's lines "You Bastard!" to Joan, after she whacks him in the nuts, and "I'll kill ya!" are also two of my favorite quotes from the entire series!

Terrific interplay between Joan and Len early on. There's nowhere near enough! Wish they'd made a whole episode just with them.

Really bad as if they had ran out story's
The prisoner writers had a habit of embarking on absolutely ludicrous and irritating storylines which clearly didn't pan out to be as exciting as they thought they would be, but instead of just letting them die a death, they string them out and do everyone's heads in.
Lexie's mother is now the producer that's why the storylines suck.

Having watched this series numerous times before I have finally started to appreciate the true quality of acting on show from Trevor Kent (Frank Burke) and Maurie Fields (Len Murphy). They played the bad guys very well and some of Len's acting and lines were especially convincing in this episode. The scene with Len and Joan fighting is up there with the series best. I used to despise the characters of Len, Frank and Joan for being so evil, but in truth I can now see that by doing that I was actually missing out on appreciating the reality of how good they actually were. Enjoyable episode.
This show has a very weird mixture of comedy and seriousness, although I think it works very well.

Maurie Fields okayed the bad guy so well, that it was hard to separate his comedic persona on Hey Hey from his nasty roles.

I actually wanted Joan to be temporary governor this time, she is the lesser of two evils. at least she isnt trying to rape anyone or beating up other guards. Some times, the freak actually comes in handy, like getting rid of a few of these evil bitches.

I've been teaching English for 15 years and I've never seen someone with Yamil's level of English master present perfect tense (the driver has died/ I have taken life) so easily. She can't manage present simple and past simple without lots of mistakes, but present perfect (the hardest tense for most foreigners to learn) is easy for her.

yes sometimes I think you are right. they show her personal life A LOT. Although I don't like Ferguson, I actually enjoyed when they show her with the child , because it was interesting and she showed compassion. Meg , it's really crazy. look at how much stuff happens to her ALL the time.

Sandy That's what all the soap operas of England and Australia have been doing for years with a lot of boring, unlikable, long-serving characters, who need to go permanently, but are still sadly there, and we don't want to go on a journey of their lives as it's the same old routine as usual.
Evening rain There are some outside parts that I can't stand throughout the series and they are very skippable. Some outside parts are interesting and important to the plots, but the real action is at Wentworth, which no one wants to miss. 😊😃

As all of you know by now, Judy McBurney; who played Pixie Mason died on December 1st 2018. I am a member of her fan club, they now call it Remembering Judy McBurney Fan Club. The person that formed it told their other fans that not one single cast member from Prisoner attended her funeral or rememberence memorial. I say to that WHAT A BUNCH OF LOSERS! The woman said that several members of her other show she was on, The Young Doctors attended it.
